Really?  The first game after Josh’s elbow injury, when many pontificated he wouldn’t even play, means “nothing?”  You don’t think perhaps a few of those throws were off due to the injury and lack of practice time?

Fumbling a snap was a gaffe and cost them Vikings game.  Nothing to do with his injury or lack of practice time.

  2. NFL is a grind, teams have up and downs, I get it.  NFL is also the league where luck and randomness plays the biggest part in ultimate season outcomes.

Bills have had a ton of injuries, offense has been bad to out of sync, Josh throwing red zone picks, and yes bad luck with storms and illnesses.

Fair or not, the bar now is the Super Bowl.  The past 4 games aren’t good enough to beat Chiefs, and bad luck and randomness are piling up.

Are we still in this, yes.  Is there time to right the ship, yes.  Yet, so many of us who have lived through ALL the Buffalo sports traumas, just start getting that feeling that this just isn’t our year.

Tre did speak to the media. He made it clear he wasn't ready to return.

They have done nothing wrong. If you want your imagination to run wild, go ahead. But don't blame them.

Apparently you didn’t read my whole post before responding, because I specifically mentioned what you just said.  But whatever.

The Bills organization have said basically nothing about Tre White. The only thing we have to go on is the speculation of fans and media who know nothing about the situation.

Even if the Bills came out and said he is done for the season, fans would still be attacking him because they don't believe it should take that long for him to recover.

The only cure is for fans and the media to see him play again at a high level. Until that happens, fans and media will continue to spout nonsense.

He is practicing and working his way back. That's why.

The Bills organization activated him to the active roster taking up a roster spot and thus giving the impression he was close.

The Bills organization started him practicing, even removed the red contact jersey from him at practice

The Bills organization REMOVED him from the injury report completely.

The Bills organization said they weren’t “going into physical vs mental” when it comes to Trey

The Bills organization hasn’t made a now NON injured player by NFL standards available for comment

The Bills organization has the right to do all of that for sure.  Yet, they then open themselves up to all kinds of speculations and theories, which does nothing but hurt the image of both the player and team.  The Bills organization has the power to shut this down completely but chooses not to from some strange reason.  That’s all.

Agree. To me this is a similar situation that happened with Derrick rose in the nba. He was elite and an mvp and then he hurt his knee. Got cleared and still sat out. He was never the same player. I think we might need to get used to that possibly being the reality with white.

Same thing happened out here in Colorado with Jamal Murray last season with Nuggets.  Medically cleared a month before playoffs and never returned that season at all even though he practiced.  This article explains it pretty well, including how Nuggets organization kind of screwed up handling of it all.  This is VERY similar to Trey, and it seems Bills organization are handling it about as poorly as Nuggets did.

  6. As a pilot who has flown NFL charters it’s definitely not as easy as “fire up the ole jet, let’s go to Detroit.”  The Bills charter a plane with big airline, usually a wide body 767 that is planned way in advance.  The big airlines don’t keep a standby 767 for sports charter purposes.  To fly out quickly last minute today would be a real challenge.  They would have likely had to plan this yesterday or day before.  I suppose they could always take buses last minute.  😂

  7. If the team would have just left him on injury report as Limited/Knee or kept him in non contact jersey much of this wouldn't have flared up.

I live in Denver and am a Denver Nuggets fan.  We went through this last season with Jamal Murray.  Drs cleared him for weeks/months but he never returned.  Coaches just said over and over again that he would play when HE was ready to play.

Some of this injury is understandably a big mental hurdle, I think there are ways the team could cover for him until he is mentally ready.

I would he rather be 100% and healthy for the pay-offs than in a game in the 2nd week of November.

To say that he's dogging it and just collecting a paycheck isn't right

I guess you are assuming the playoffs are assured, I’m not.

I don't think that is healthy or normal. If football affects you so deeply, it might be best to take a break. Football is a game. It is supposed to entertain you.

The Bills affect me this deeply, no other team or sport does.  Yes, it is unhealthy, that's why I mentioned I just want 1 SB and I can move on.  Luckily I live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains region and can take this Sunday off and get away.

I agree. Yesterday in a post I just wrote, "I'm sad," and this is really why. As someone who lived through the four Super Bowl losses my main driver in being a fan now is to finally see a team get over the hump. And it feels like my history as a Bills fan has been one of feeling stupid for actually having hope and believing in the team.

I really didn't think I would ever feel that way with this team with Josh Allen under center. And yet 0-2 in the division has me worried.

I know the season is long. And I know that this will all just make for part of a great story if we end up winning the championship.

But for the moment I feel that I've (potentially) been disillusioned regarding this team. That my belief was ill-founded and like I'm being forced to consider the possibility that this team to is somehow just another pretender.

Caring about the Bills has been been a big unnecessary pain in my life. It hurts more than liking a sports team should.

    Let's see how they respond.

This ^^^^.  Almost 50 years of die hard fandom and all I feel now is total stress.  I worry about losing every game, watching them physically gives my body bad reactions.  I don’t enjoy my Sundays anymore, even when they win. Sports is suppose to be a fun outlet, the NFL and the Bills are not.  It’s not the team or players fault, they haven’t felt or lived through what so many of us have.  So many of current fans, including my boys, haven’t felt or lived through almost any of it.  I’m grateful they don’t feel this sh*t like I do.

I JUST WANT 1.  Then I can and will move on.

I said this a week or so ago.

An unpopular opinion to be sure, but I continue to hear rumblings around OP that his rehab is not going well.

I’ve sensed since about week 2 of training camp that maybe he had a set back.  He was at Fischer at first, some comments from team were initially somewhat positive.  Then it all just went quiet and he was largely out of sight then.  Just a hunch of mine since early August.

My wild uneducated guess is that we will be happy if he plays against GB.

I to am starting to feel like it will be later then most think.  Not ruling out he doesn’t play at all or very little this season.
