Buck and Aikmen are the worst A-team commentators of all time. -

Is Josh changing how college QBs are scouted?
bills6969 replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think much will change. Coming out of college everyone knew JA had the physical tools to be an elite QB, but (thankfully for us) some GMs were scared to draft him because he went to a smaller school and played against inferior competition. The much safer picks were Mayfield and Darnold. JA was a high risk, high reward player, and thus far, Beane looks like a genius for trading up to draft him. -
The Bills have a superstar Elite NFL QB

He didn’t really have a bad game vs Tenn. 1 of his 2 interceptions was due to a mistake by the (backup) WR. Tenn is also one of the better teams in the league. -

Le'Veon Bell signs with Kansas City

What are the terms? -
Could be. He’s in final year of a big 5 year contract. He’s getting up there in age and Washington is in rebuild mode; may want to trade him for some draft capital.
-
He was avg 13 sacks per year 2016-2018. Was injured last year. Murphy couldn’t hold his jockstrap.
-
Thoughts on trading for this guy before trade deadline? He’s in the final year of his contract which i think he is owed 11.5m. Not sure if we have cap room, but if we did, what about trading Wash a 4th or 5th rounder for him? He’s a solid edge rusher and we wouldn’t have to eat a huge contract.

He should sign for $1 so that the jets are on the hook for 5.499999 -

Has and running back excelled in NE? They rotate like 5 RBs a game. -

I don’t think he goes to KC. That would scream “ washed up RB going to KC just for a ring” ala Shady. I think it’s us or the Fish. -

Probably due to being on the Jets -

I think he’s going to sign with us then. Can’t see him going to KC where he would be 2nd fiddle. Dolphins need a RB but they aren’t a contender. -
Also, let’s end the Epenesa comparisons to Maybin. Epenesa has 1 sack thru 5 games vs Maybin’s 0 sacks thru 32 games.
-
Maybe he looked bigger in college relative to the guys around him, but now in the pros all the lineman are much bigger and hence he looks smaller?
-
Give Epenesa some time. He has shown flashes. He hasn’t even played that much this year and he has 1 sack and had nice tackle for loss last night. I think he needs to get bigger (he looks like a LB playing DE) but I’m hopeful he gets more PT as the year goes on and becomes our big time pass rusher.

Week 6: Chiefs at Bills (+5): Monday 5pm on Fox
bills6969 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I havent read thru the entire thread, but I assume no fans will be allowed for this game? F’ing BS given Tenn gets fans but are the one team to have managed COVID the worst thus far. -
We still have some tough games left: Chiefs Seahawks Pats x2 Cardinals Steelers Niners? The AFC is really tough this year, Chiefs, Ravens, Titans, Steelers, Pats, Browns, Raiders are all playoff caliber teams. Winning the division will be pivotal this year. The Pats games are the biggest games of the year for us.

Defensive Assessment Thus Far

I don’t think Epenesa looks that bad. He has shown the ability to get to the QB. He just looks like a kid out there and needs to get A LOT bigger. -
Defensive Assessment Thus Far
bills6969 replied to Do The Reich Thing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It really starts up front with the Dline. In particular, the pass rush is non-exisitent. Not sure how this gets fixed other than try some other guys (Epenesa?) or blitz more. The Dline is really concerning because they are fully healthy and are still playing like *****. At LBs, something is up with Edmunds. He looks like a shell of the player that we saw last year. I’m guessing he’s battling an injury or just sat on his ass all offseason. In secondary, we clearly missed Tre tonight. Hope he heals up quickly cuz he is def needed back there, but I think the big issue is lack of pass rush is killing us. If QB is not getting pressured, a decent QB will pick apart a secondary. If we don’t fix Dline/pass rush the D will continue to stink. -
Jordan Phillips has been missed
bills6969 replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still boggles my mind why we didn’t resign him. Instead, we gave basically the same money to Mario Addison who hasn’t done squat. McD and Beane out smarted themselves with this one.
