Dude, stop "rabbit holing" me!!! In my mind (or what's left of it), the mystery has been solved......i sleep good at night.

I actually feel pretty good about this game against Detroit. The Rams were healthy and can compete with anyone in the league and McVay is a wizard for figuring things out and making adjustments. The Lions will be tough, but i think McD will have this team ready to go and actually, i really don't think JA will be the prime focus or have to play superman in this one. It'll be close and this game will be a good barometer for where this team is at against the elites.

Ok, so i think the secretary mystery has been solved. I was just talking to one of my coworkers and explained everything that transpired with Julie, the apology, etc........and he says, "well, it might be because of what happened in the summer......you know, the filing cabinet incident". Oh yeah.......the filing cabinet incident. The guy in the office next door to mine quit and they were cleaning out his office and someone had put his filing cabinet just outside of my office in the hallway, just around the corner. Three times when i stepped out of my office, i gashed my knee on the corner of this thing, deep gash, blood everywhere......i've still got the scars. I screamed, "WHO IS THE STUPID ***HOLE THAT LEFT THIS FILING CABINET IN FRONT OF MY OFFICE!!!".........and then kicked it tumbling down the hallway. It was the secretary, Julie who had put it there and i guess that's what she wants an apology for.........and she's not going to get it.

What are you saying?........i'm simply a joy to be around.

I just confronted her 5 minutes ago and apologized again for not saying goodbye after the party.........didn't even acknowledge my apology and left the room. wow.....just wow.

Here's my thing, i would never hang out with these people outside of work so i really don't want to spend my time with them at a work party. Case in point....... When my wife and i were leaving the party, we had a few drinks in us and said goodbye to everyone, but in the morning i realized that i didn't say goodbye to our secretary, Julie....... so because it was the weekend and i don't have her phone number, i sent her an email to explain and apologize......i know she read it on the following Monday morning and now she won't talk to me at all, just ignores me. She says hi and bye to everyone in the office each day, but me. Like, come on.........well forget you, Julie.......and Larry (our office Ravens fan) can go to hell too.

Yeah, the Christmas party this year was all work talk and i hated it. I don't mind talking about work when i'm at work, but on my own personal time, i don't want to hear it, but on the other hand, is a work Christmas party actual work or is it actually personal time?........i'm going to have to think about this one.

Honestly, i just love looking at this list........reminds me of a long-lost era for RB's. The greats are a great for a reason.

Where was the defensive adjustment on Puka Nakua?
Sweats replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall
.........the terrible game plan was on coaching and that's where the game begins and ends. -
I had my work Christmas party last weekend and although it was nothing spectacular, it was adequate.........free drinks all night long, fancy food, presents for everyone. The boss made his usual speech again this year about increased profits, bonuses for everyone, everyone working together as a team, blah, blah, blah. The party was just alright, i guess, nothing real exciting, however, i was telling the guys that years ago when i worked for a different company, the parties used to get so out of control that there would be employees fighting, people puking on the dance floor, cops arresting people, etc........wild stuff, man. work Christmas parties........love em or hate em?

I got this as a kid one year........at the time, this was huge and everyone just about had one.
-
I went on their once and i couldn't stomach the idiotic, moronic statements that people were throwing out.......it was like an attitude where the whole league should just bow at their feet. ........disgusting.

Opinions on this wonderful 2024 Bills season at 10-3
Sweats replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is true to a point.......i think if we can take leads early and force the opposition to abandon their game plan and just continuously chuck the ball downfield, our D will feast on turnovers. I think McD's D is built to this exact scheme, however, when we have to play gritty and dirty ball, our D with their "bend, but don't break" motto folds under pressure against good teams that know how to exploit it, sitting in our soft zones and running the ball up the gut. -

At the beginning of the season, most people had written this team off and figured we'd never even sniff the playoffs this year, however, it ends up a 5th straight AFCEast title (it helped that the rest of our division was complete shite), JA is Mr. MVP (should be anyways) and our young roster has stepped up to compete (most times) and people are still complaining. I've wallowed in too many inept, disastrous years of trash from this team to ever allow me to come down on where we've been, where we are and where we're going. Just...enjoy...the...ride. -
Oh, it's definitely a "me" thing. I've got problems.

Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game. Ole Sweats is just passing along some "insider" salesman info of what they generalize as people with money, people without, people that tend to buy, people that don't and the different classes of people as they see them when they step onto the lot, etc........it doesn't mean that their assumptions are correct, it's just as how they see them when they are wandering the lots. It gives the salespeople a general idea of who might actually spend some money that day and who might be wasting their time. Let's say 5 people wander onto the lot at the same time, the salesman already knows who he is going to first based on their generalizations. I'm not saying this happens all the time, but in an industry-based standard such as car salesmen where they might see a percentage of the sales, they know who they want to deal with and who they can make money off of.

If someone gives you a holiday gift you don't like
Sweats replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Yeah, unfortunately that's the drawback of re-gifting.........sooner or later that ole ****** gift may come around again. -
"Sweats notes"........a friend of mine years ago was a salesman and he told me right out what salespeople look for as soon as people step onto the lot. * Old people - older people usually have everything paid off and have some extra spending money kicking around, so when they come onto the lot, they can upsell to the older couples * Young couples - young couples don't tend to be very smart with their money or they tend to overspend what they can afford. They can also be manipulated into deals that they either don't really want or don't truly understand Dealership salespeople tend to stay away from lone people coming onto the lots or people of middle age, as a loner on the lot doesn't represent a "serious" buyer and middle-aged people tend to be a little tighter with their money because of kids, mortgages, bills, etc.

I've been at dealerships with my wife and had occasions where salespeople didn't even approach us and just let us wander around the lots........it was refreshing and frustrating all at the same time.
