Honestly …. THANK GOODNESS I don’t know if the Jets win regardless of who’s at QB. I do know now that they have a chance.

Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
SCBills replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well this is simply goalpost moving. I’ll agree that Von shouldn’t be given the snaps he’s receiving based on production. Using this to justify it is dirty work and would not play well in the locker room or around the league. -

We have different views apparently.. If you’re someone who believes people should have their livelihoods affected based on allegations, I think you’re an angry, miserable person. When there are plenty of them in this topic and on social media. And they keep reiterating their belief that Von should face consequences for allegations, they become a mob. Angry. Mob. Not to the level of Araiza, but it helps when the media isn’t egging you on. Which, on this situation, is a welcome hesitance on their part. -

Or… they completely lose the locker room and ability to sell this organization to future free agents when they keep caving to an angry mob. Would you want to play for a team that took action against players two years in a row based on allegations? Arrest does not equal conviction. I wouldn’t. Von is loved in the locker room, and throughout the league. You very much underestimate the ripple effect of the Bills turning their players into punching bags for those outside the organization. -
It’s been beaten into us over a decade of losing and a terrible recruiter as HC, coupled with a University that has never seemed willing to embrace the financial necessities to compete at the “higher levels”, not even the highest, because that may never be attainable, but the higher levels even (think UNC, Miami, NC State, because Clemson/FSU is a pipe dream unless we get some really passionate donors) It seems Wildhack and the University finally realize what’s at stake. They'll have the Dome renovations done soon. They’ve poured money recently into football facilities. They’re embracing NIL and the need for a community that supports it. And, most importantly, they seem to have the blessing of money people. And what’s at stake is Syracuse’s involvement in high level football for the future decades. It’s time to put up or shut up. Realignment may pause for a few years, but it’s not done yet.

Eh… maybe in our new Black Mirror society, but your point is valid. -
Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas

Out of character for what?.. To have a toxic relationship with his long time girl? Or in being a woman beater? The first one is a headache, but plenty of good people are stuck in toxic relationships. The second is obviously very different… but for that, we have to assume and make judgments on what we believe to have happened. -

Beane clearly knew a lot of backstory we didn’t about Araiza and you could tell he was pretty torn up that he had to do what he had to do. Later on, we all found out why he was torn up by what the mob/media forced him to do. I trust him if he says what he says about Von. I’m sure he knows more about this than we do. -
Fran Brown’s staff, recruiting-wise, is absurd. Fran Brown, Elijah Robinson, Nick Williams and Khalil Ahmad. With other big names potentially on deck… The OC is reportedly Jeff Nixon, former Baylor OC, current Giants RB coach. Syracuse might just be able to start locking down the majority of NE 4 star talent. They have 7 guys visiting this weekend .. all have offers from Penn State, Georgia and/or Alabama. The big move will be what they do at portal QB and if they can bring in a few difference makers and keep Allen, Villari and Gadsen (if he doesn’t go pro) in the fold. They have a cake schedule next year and need to take advantage of it to keep momentum going.

Chance of Playoffs now, according to NYT simulator
SCBills replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's no way this is correct. -
Yup. Just start drafting developmental QB’s towards the end so you have a guy on a rookie deal to play the year after Allen retires while eating the cap hit we’ve kicked down the road.
-
Mindset also matters though. Bengals leave it out there tonight and lose, maybe they fold up shop mentally/guys banged up start sitting out. It’s risky, but they play 3 teams we want to take L’s and then even if they keep winning , they’ve got KC second to last week of the season.
-
I honestly have no idea what to root for. Bengals have a tough schedule and if they keep winning are beating other teams ahead of us and then they have KC and MIN as non-teams we’re concerned with at the moment. If Lawrence is done … the Jags could legitimately fall apart.
-
-
If Lawrence is done for the season, they have Browns & Ravens next. Could easily fall to 8-6 before they have 3 potential wins to end the season with Bucs, Panthers, Titans.
-
These injuries are too much man…
-
I know we probably should root for Jax, but are we totally sure? CIN plays a ton of people we would like them to beat down the stretch.. and still have the Chiefs on the schedule. Starting w/ Indy next week. Could it be helpful for them to still have something to play for… with the thinking that they’re likely not winning out.
-
I think Douglas could get signed to a lengthy extension. One for cap purposes, but two because he's likely our CB1 next year and perhaps the year after, but he has elite skills to transition to Safety later on.
-
Any year we miss the playoffs with a healthy Josh Allen is an epic disaster. And, frankly, if that happens .. it is completely unacceptable .. especially when given the financial resources Pegula gives this team. That said .. I agree with everything else you said. We needed some guys to hit this year, and they did. Beane needed his high draft picks to hit last year and they did. He's going to need to continue doing that.
-
First press conference is a 10/10 Fran Brown is crushing it .. The entire vibe is "Put the word out, we back up".
-
I think the two high shell has really limited the ability for explosive offenses to truly be put on display with any regularity. That keeps games lower scoring, less drives and more time consuming. Which then keeps scores closer and gives the refs more ability to influence games with poor officiating. Injuries also seem to be getting worse and/or affecting bigger name players.
-
It shouldn’t matter. They’re not that good. If we can score on them, which we should given how we’ve looked under Brady, McDermott’s Defense BETTER be able to not step on rakes all game because this KC Offense has been a struggle session all year. Nevermind the fact that you’d think coming off a bye, with an ability to salvage your season, should render us the more desperate team.
-
If we win out, which I still think we need to do … Miami could absolutely drop two more.
-
It’s such dirty work that Collinsworth and Tirico just decide what the narrative from this game is going to be. Ignore the phantom late hit that gifted KC 15 yards. Ignore the obvious fact that the KC player was going backwards out of bounds, therefore clock runs. Official misses the call and stops the clock. Nah.. we’re just going to focus on the missed PI … and then bizarrely talk about a Hail Mary as if they’ve never witnessed one before.
-
Can we remind the officiating crew that we were absolutely bent over by the refs in our last game .. far worse than one missed call after they got a call for KC
