And the 2024 Race Begins

Could have had this guy as our next President, but MAGA gonna MAGA… -
After the McDuffie/Elam draft, I’m completely fine with them going BPA at a position of need. I hope it’s WR, but if we have a similar run on the position like last year before we can get in a position to take one, I’m not going to freak out. I do have to admit however, im starting to wonder about how important EDGE is when the officiating very clearly allows more holding in the playoffs. Powerful DT’s can disrupt even when held by collapsing the pocket up the middle. Just a concern I’m beginning to have about positional importance if we take a guy like Chop Robinson at 28.

Elon opening up Twitter/X might end up being the most influential socio-political decision of our lifetimes. Still too many people allow MSM to cultivate their beliefs, but as younger generations turn to X/Independent Journalism, the sway corporate owned/pharma controlled news media has on the public will dramatically subside.

Impact of Dobbs and Abortion Laws
SCBills replied to ChiGoose's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I have no idea. Both Trump and Biden are apparently going to aim to federalize or maybe make a national law as a starting point. The entire premise of overthrow Roe v Wade was to send it to the states. “Do women vote in the South?” This is where media/Dem manipulation plays in… Look at polling on this issue broken down between male and female. Men & Women are typically within a few points of each other on the issue itself, and - more importantly - when it should be legal/illegal. So women do vote in the South ha.. but alot of women down here are conservative and/or married, which typically lends itself to voting more along pro-life lines. Given the Democrats entire base now seems to be unmarried women, this issue can generate higher turnout in other parts of the country .. but the South is not abortion-obsessed. More people are religious and while they may be pro-choice, they can stomach crossing over to vote for a Brian Kemp or Ron DeSantis, Henry McMaster etc., because they prioritize other issues higher. In summary, yes women in the South vote. But the Dems heavy edge on unmarried women narrows down here where more are conservative and/or religious plus a higher amount of politically active married women. -
Impact of Dobbs and Abortion Laws

Libs gonna rant about an outlier state like Alabama nonstop. It’s no more extreme that the abortion laws in deep blue states where there’s barely any protection for babies at any point during the pregnancy. The reality is, sounds like Trump may push for a 15 week abortion ban.. which is right around where polling flips from Dem favorability to Republican favorability. When it comes down to this issue.. where Trump v Biden stand is where it will go, not Cali anytime abortion vs Alabama IVF nonsense. -
Nobody should be facing arrest like this for being in/at the Capitol that day. Legitimate punishment for anyone vandalizing and/or physical violence on that day, agreed. Slap on the wrists for the rest of the idiots who got caught up in it, sure. What has occurred since is chilling.. and one day, when it flips on your side, don’t ask conservatives to speak up for you.

Anyone who actually wants Trump to potentially face legal peril in the Georgia case should really be hoping she gets booted and someone else is willing to pick up the case, because she is now Trump’s biggest chess piece in this case. Maybe the case doesn’t get picked up and y’all lose out on any shots you have .. but Fani Willis is damaged beyond repair.

I love this timeline so much.

I'd hope they could shop him for another 5th? He's still a good player on a reasonable one year contract. That seems like it would be valuable to someone, no? Getting two mid-round picks plus a half year rental for a 3rd would make it a lot more palatable.
