This was it in a nutshell. Play to your strengths. Daboll getting cute on short yardage. McDermott going for 4th and 8 when he has a guy who can kick the 52 yarder and a lead, Josh looking deep all game long because they told him they need to hit more big plays when there were guys open at 10 yards all game, getting a blocked punt, a one man pattern on a flea flicker, running Sanders as your deep threat instead of Davis or Diggs, putting 39 on an island when they can’t run the ball on you. All are coaching impacted. This not only played mediocre but it’s coaching staff looked amateurish yesterday. I am so sick of hearing how Daboll spent 60 hour weeks all summer working on how to counteract what teams would be doing to stop us. Just play our game, like KC plays their game, and make someone prove they can stop you. Don’t change your game trying to be cute.

I am actually excited it’s Miami this week. 1. We will play angry and 2. Allen has always played well in Miami. It is a get right game IMO. I expect us to to not overreact and keep flinging the ball around.

Well a whole team and staff just got a wake up call after looking poor in various ways. Let’s see how they respond in Miami.

How many years six the Pats go 2-2 or 3-2 and then go on and kick butt. That could be us.

Pretty much this whole team and every coach laid a goose egg so far in this opener.

So Rousseau gets held in the gap on that big 20 yard run but no call. Limited holding on the Steelers all game even though you see it every play, 2 PI calls on the Bills both of which hit the Bills player. Sorry but I never blame officials but that has been one wildly unevenly called game.

Not true. A bad play call is a bad play call. Period. That was an awful play call. Tight formation and yank a bunch of athletes off the field. Stupid.

I wish Dabs did get a HC job with that silly ass play.

I thought home teams were supposed to get the calls..

I don’t see the obsession is with having to have a TE when you can have 4 great WRs on the field and you are 6 deep there. They threaten all levels of the field more and we aren’t a power running team anyway.

It shows how good Beane is at praising to raise value. He and Farwell mentioned BAM multiple times for his need to be “gameplanned” against. Now I think it was all a set-up to get someone to take the bait. It’s not like the kid was Tasker part 2 or anything.

It will be all about: 1) who is fetching trade offers 2) do they view it important to keep Addison’s presence to help the kids

Hollister will make some plays for us this year. Throw in the new adds of Breida and likely TD Jesus and maybe Stevenson and they will have many chances to diversify game plans this year whereas last year their TE2, RB3, and WR6 served little offensive use. I also thought Lamp would at least contend for a backup role.

Dobbins is a fun back to watch. This hurts them deeper into the season when a player like Gus will be worn down.

I am fine with Star but we have little beyond him to stop the run at true 1 tech DT, plus at his age I figure they will have to draft DT first round next year. The reality is Harry isn’t the answer and Oliver isn’t stout so we need another gifted big body who can really contribute inside.

Agreed. I thought Basham would be more ready and Rousseau would need half a season to show us something if at all this year. Now I think Rousseau could be a high impact player and Basham might be the project. Totally agree with this. We still can’t stop the run. Curious to see if we flip some cap space in the next week and try to pick up a DL.

Things I was right about… - Dane Jackson was not going to mount a heavy challenge at CB2 - Dawson Knox will continue to have the dropsies no matter what off-season drills he did Things I was totally wrong about… - Rousseau wouldn’t be ready to make an impact until later in the season - Moss would clearly set himself apart from Singletary as the starter - AJ Epenesa could be a bust What are yours?

You can get a giant street fest atmosphere without building a football stadium by doing what they did in Milwaukee along their waterfront. They have a giant Summerfest grounds that hugs the water that actually goes next to something similar to that ugly skyway. Milwaukee is actually larger than Buffalo. Keep the stadium in OP.

KC. We have to beat them in week 4 to take that away. I don’t know if we can win in Arrowhead without a few bounces.
