  1. Haha listen they never are going to suck. But maybe just maybe if the cast is just smidge mortal, maybe Mahomes is slowed and they have to be the 4th seed for once lol.
  2. We are nearing the official start of football as training camp and preseason football itself is 3 weeks away. This is the major question I have for each team heading into the season that I feel will determine whether it goes well or not. Like it, comment. Hate it, comment. Feel indifferent, comment or don't comment. Hate me, also comment lol. ATL- On paper they could have the most dynamic rushing attack in the NFL, but can Ridder do enough at QB to get to 9-10 wins? He looked OK last year and it seems like a make it or break it year for the coaching staff who is gambling on Ridder to move them forward. ARZ- Will they actually play Murray? This is the most talentless roster in the NFL and they look to be going for the #1 pick, do you bring back Murray who if healthy can win games on his own and risk that. BAL- Can the passing attack actually evolve to what on paper looks like a pretty decent corps? This division is always a buzzsaw and everyone has weapons, BAL needs their weapons to impact week 1 not week 9. BUF- Can they finally break through (and also get a little luck)? After four years with the window there and opportunities gone can the Bills finally move forward. Also a little luck would be nice after last years gulag worth of distractions and injuries. CAR- Can Bryce Young be the guy out of the gate? If so this division has opportunity and Reich has worked magic with QBs quite a few times now. CHI- Can the Bears pass for 200 ypg? Fields is dynamic and got weapons added. Last year CHI passed for just 130 ypg, 200 ypg would be a nice start to see improvement and would certainly translate to more Ws. CIN- How will CIN handle adversity? The last two years they have had a pretty open division and really not faced adversity as they were up and coming. Now as a favorite how do they react. CLE- Can Watson return to being an elite passer? Last year in 6 games Watson was the 42nd ranked passer, even backup Jacoby Brissett was 20th by comparison. Everything in CLE hinges on Watson returning to form and there are a lot of question if he actually can. DAL- Was firing Kellen Moore a good idea? Dak's best years came with Moore at OC and the offense was quite dynamic. McCarthy apparently wants more "balance" (aka run the ball) but this could look like a bad reactionary move if the DAL offense regresses. DEN- Can Payton bring Russell Wilson back from the dead? Everything went wrong on offense in DEN last year and Wilson looked cooked. The defense is there and the offense has some talent, can Payton get Wilson to a level where they can compete with him or is he "cooked". DET- Can they live up to the hype and at least make the playoffs? Everyone's preseason fav, the Lions have historically wilted at expectations. Can this group which looks to have promise actually meet the hype. GB- Can Jordan Love show he was worth a 1st, not giving weapons to Rodgers instead, and show some true promise? This feels like a step back year in GB where the most important growth is at QB, can Love take a step. HOU- Can the Texans 1st round picks show that giving next years 1st up was not a mistake? The Texans bet heavily on CJ Stroud and Will Anderson being pillars to their team, failure to show some promise this year will bring back buyers remorse can draft day 2024. IND- Some "ifs" here but is this the best rushing team no one is talking about? Taylor at RB, Richardson is dynamic as a rusher too with a potentially good offensive line when healthy sounds quite juicy. JAX- Can Trevor Lawrence go to an elite QB level? He showed a ton of growth last year and he certainly is a good QB, but the Jags reaching big goals (AFC title, 1 seed etc..) rest of Lawrence moving to that next tier of QB play. KC- What does the Chiefs passing attack look like? Kelce is 34 and injuries have started creeping up, after that is a lot of promise but no true #1 target. Juju Smith last year would've hit 1000 yds if he didn't miss a game played, right now the Chiefs have more questions then answers. The offense will still be good but does year 2 with Hill finally show a few cracks in the otherwise potent KC offense. LAC- Can Brandon Staley rebound after an atrocious end to last year? Between injuring players in week 18 who shouldn't have been playing and his team blowing a 27 pt lead the hot seat is real for him. Kind of feels like a make it or break it year given the talent and unmet expectations. LAR- Can the glut of rookies drafted make an impact where LA can compete again? Injuries wrecked havoc last year and the foundation got reinforced in the draft, but for the Rams to compete to any capacity they need a few of their 11 draft picks to become every down players. LV- Are they secretly tanking? They have the 3rd best QB in division in an AFC loaded across the board, are they just biding their time for a year to get one of the top guys because this roster stinks. MIA- Can Tua play a full season with aliment? The ceiling is incredibly high for MIA if Tua is healthy. Also can McDaniel adjust his offense after defenses took the Chargers blue print of bumping and slowing the Phins WRs at the line. The offense took a small step back once that happened. MIN- Can Kirk Cousins go the distance or is this it? Cousins has always been above average but when the pressure mounts he seems to fall apart. His contract is done after this year so it is now or never in the NFC that is pretty open after PHI. NE- Can the offense compete with the rest of the AFC? This feels like the Jauron Bills, decent to good defense with an offense that has a piece or two but lacks any true talent and the QB is one giant question mark. NOLA- Can Dennis Allen actually coach? Career record is 15-38 and was 7-10 last year. They are the favs in the South, but can he show he can get a team to a decent year. NYJ- Can Aaron Rodgers play at a competent level at QB? The Jets QB play has been so bad for years that just competency would've landed a playoff appearance at some point in the last decade. Rodgers had a down year and advanced stats show father time may be here a bit, but just average QB play can at least have them in the wild card race. NYG- After a year where seemingly everything fell there way, can the Giants make their own luck? The Giants got some superb luck last year that benefited them to a playoff year. They are destine to have some things not go their way, can they perform at a higher level across the board to mute that. PHI- Can the defense return to a high level after losing four starters and their defensive coordinator along with having perfect injury luck? The Eagles offense will be fine, but the defense saw seismic changes that may take some time to adjust to. They also had superb injury luck which very rarely smiles on a team two years in a row. PIT- Can Kenny Pickett be the 2nd best QB in the AFC North? Pickett improved as 2022 went on and showed some real promise. If he can jump to just 2nd best QB in division the Steelers are probably a playoff team. SEA- Can Geno just stay around the level he was at in 2022? The offense is loaded with weapons and the defense has added talent to improve. This is my darkhorse team in the NFC to be the 1 seed, can Geno give another quality year at QB. I'm pulling for him. SF- Will the 49ers QB questions slow their season down? Purdy looked really good last year and then he got an awful injury that may stop him from starting the season. Lance has talent but can't stay healthy and Darnold would be what feels like Shanahan's 12th QB reclamation project. Certainty at QB would help to let the 49ers focus on their big goals, but it feels like they just won't get that. TB- Will they stop lying to themselves? Brady and Arians elevated a decent roster with some strong pieces in key spots to contender overnight. With both gone and aging stars like Evans only getting older when will TB admit a reset is the best option rather then just burning through years of guys late in their prime. TEN- Can anyone name a WR after Trevon Burks? For real this is one of the bleakest WR corps in a long time. In seriousness after resetting their roster to get younger is their enough talent to compete for divsion? The Titans tried to move Tannehill, drafted Levis, and the roster itself is young but unproven, do they have enough gas to stay with the Jags for a while. WSH- Can Sam Howell be this years Daniel Jones? The talent is there for a decent offense in WSH and the defense usually is pretty stout. Howell is a major question, but the NFC is open wide for someone to surprise as a wildcard. Can Howell show some flashes or is the big cheers in WSH this year limited to just new ownership.
  3. maybe we can all help him move in. I accept pizza and beer
  4. I think a lot of it comes down to the fact Bills fans are a very fickle bunch wired a certain way. Fitz is beloved despite never once going .500 and being a very meh QB, BUT the dude was blue collar as they come and fans embrace that tenfold. That is not to say Tyrod was a hard worker because by all accounts the dude was incredibly dedicated and you never heard a bad word in that respect. But he was also very quiet and not very showy either whereas in the past Flutie who was also a small QB was again blue collar but also very direct and brash. Fans love Josh partly because game 3 of his career he's leaping over a LB. Buffalo is not the sexist place to live and with our winters you have to have some thick skin to be here to an extent. Josh blowing throw guys or leaping just resonates with the region in a sense. By comparison Taylor was a model workman and quiet which is perfectly cool, but fans are fans so that aspect does have an impact. I do think unfortunately a certain segment of fans, not large either but the noise exists looked at his skin color and didn't like that. I saw/heard the comments and the same stereotype crap that "he is just a runner" and didn't like him due to race, despite the fact he actually was an incredibly good passer whose greatest weakness really was hesitating to strike downfield. Again small segment of fans but I had people say things in that vein to me and I shook my head and walked away. As a QB we saw everything you can with him and I think fans by 2017 were ready to move on except the Bills kept him cheap $ wise so it was what it was. I have forever said a better coach with the defense in 2015 and what the offense was doing had an 11-5 team. He was the driver of that and most weeks they were really fun and good on the field. But the Jags game was a litmus test of sorts with him as a QB and you saw his limitations as a QB in full effect. I always got mad at the NFL talking heads who said it was a mistake we let him go as though just making the playoffs was good enough. With proper coaching and talent Tyrod was a playoff QB but he was just a piece not thee piece. Nothing wrong with that and to me he rose the standard after a decade plus of atrocious QB play on what we should want at QB and expect out of the position. I have nothing but good memories of Tyrod and watching his highlights back you realize how good at times he could be. I was front row when he bombed the deep pass to Harvin week 1 2015 vs IND for a TD and it was a thing of beauty. I have hoped that someday they do honor the drought breaking team to some extent and he gets a proper thank you for his three years here and being the trigger man on the team to end it.
  5. I have been to Clarence now 3-4 times and it was the exact same which made me very happy.
  6. I have eaten alottt of wings (not the best for your health haha) and I do have to say Bar Bar Bill is probably tops I have had in taste, how well wings are cooked, and consistency time in time out.
  7. 100% just be prepared to wait a little to sit so grab a drink at the bar. Its great wings, great beef on weck and local place so I always like that.
  8. Went opening day and have been to Clarence a bunch (I live in Roc but in Buffalo all the time friends and fam their as I was born there). Food was equal to Clarence so it was amazing. Far larger which makes it easier. Parking will forever be an issue there and Empire is such a busy road something will go amiss traffic wise soon. The outdoor section is going to be very popular. As long as they just keep one location in Rochester it will be packed 24/7 and do really well. When the Bills arrive here end of the month I can guarantee they are going to go there. "Pizza Logs proud sponsor of the Buffalo Sabres!"
  9. I have that game as why the Bills don't get the 1 seed and it knocks us to 3 seed as Jags get 1.
  10. Going bold alphabetically, not doing everyone because not everyone is bold ARZ- goes 1-16 with only win against ATL BAL- miss the playoffs despite Lamar playing all year as division attrition and WC tie breaker vs Jets haunts them CAR- wins division at 10-7 CHI- only go 6-11 and Fields ends up being a more glorified runner then passer and again CHI has to ask what to do at QB DAL- make the SB DET- fail to win division and barely make playoffs at 9-8 (MIN wins again at 10-7) DEN- win the AFC W at 11-6 GB- go 5-12 as the bottom falls out for real and Love is not the answer. welcome to QB purgatory JAX- take AFC 1 seed at 13-4 LAC- implode at 6-11 and Staley is fired LAR - bounce back to a 9-8 record and just miss wildcard MIA- Tua plays all 17 games and they go 11-6 winning a game in the wildcard NYG- luck smiles the opposite way as they go 7-10 and are never really close to being in the hunt at any point NYJ- make the playoffs as the final WC spot but get bounced in first round after blowing a 20-3 lead at halftime PHI- the NFC East finally sees a division winner repeat as the Eagles repeat but lose in the divisional round to Dallas at home PIT- The non losing season run ends as they go 6-11 as Pickett fails to take the next step and being in a tough division wrecks havoc as they finally finish 4th SEA- they win the NFC West and 1 seed at 12-5 SF- they make the playoffs but as a wild card as 10-7 as QB uncertainty finally catches them a little WSH- New ownership brings in a new era... but the results on the field are worse as they go 3-14 and end up picking 2nd in the draft
  11. That is bold haha I wish you lived in Rochester so I could meet you at a bar to discuss these for an hr. I don't think you are wrong I just want to hear your logic out.
  12. For real. The list I made I listed myself top 50
  13. "Buffalo's hardest hitting reporters asking the tough questions!"
  14. This is kind of the spot on point. Losing the most important game four times is bad. Doesn't me the era and winning through out it + relevance wasn't fun, but the you lost four times the most important one of them all which in turn has cast a shadow that hangs to today. It was bad losing four in a row.
  15. I need a version with red or white helmets (do both lol). The uniforms are actually pretty slick, but too giants esq with blue helmet.
  16. This is pretty on spot. My posting and interactions have dropped dramatically because of the fact far more threads since the Cincy loss have been just hot takes or outrage without much substance. TBD is at its best when you can read and have thoughtful discussion that either adds perspective or at least is well based arguments. Since the CIN loss far too often things have resembled facebook political discourse which is a tire fire the moment it is posted. I really do not care if your opinion is negative, but if your going to post back it with some actual rational and facts. Far too often the posts for example are "The Bills Are Faltering" and then literally it is two sentences of gibberish rather then maybe adding the division is tougher, stats on injury recovery, the numbers on first year TE's are not stellar for offensive production etc.. 17. I actually fully agree with you it has gotten really bad... BUT for the sake of fun, F*CK YOU DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO
  18. It went from reasonable points to nuclear in a blink of an eye
  19. After going back to back with Rex as off season champs in 15-16, its nice to finally end the offseason title drought
  20. -EJ Manuel was a franchise QB, I bought it hook line and sinker -Should've drafted Rosen and Allen would be a massive flop if they did draft him. I was so mad when they drafted Josh I left the draft party we were at -I once wanted Brandon Weeden -In 2021 I wanted Hyde gone after season as I thought his skills were down as he missed a few big plays... then proceeded to INT vs NE playoffs and yeaaaa -I thought Marrone was going to be BB 2.0
  21. They had the best offensive performance in NFL history vs NE when it was frigid. CIN game was one game, they beat BAL in a similar cold slugfest. I will always take home games first, but I do have confidence with them on the road.
  22. So just a reminder not winning the AFCE is not the end all be all. Bucs won the SB in 2020 despite being a Wild Card and beat the Saints in their house who won the division that year. Rodgers only SB win came as a Wild Card. Steelers won the SB with Big Ben as a wild card in 2005. Elway's first SB in 1997 actually was as a WC team that beat ironically the Chiefs in their house who won the division. It is not uncommon at all for Wild Cards to make runs, generally though it is a top QB that drives that train which we have in Josh. This is the most resistance Buffalo has faced on paper heading into a season since 2019 in division. The run NE had for the division was unprecedented in NFL history and won't be repeated as much as I would love Buffalo to. Not saying this year Buffalo won't win the division I think they are still the favorite at this time, but the resistance is real at least heading into the season.
