  1. To quote Bud Fox from "Wall Street" - how many yachts can you waterski behind?
  2. I can't anymore w/ the "you don't trade w/ your biggest rival - you just don't do it." I crave more logic than that.
  3. I wouldn't mind both Deebo-lite AND Deebo-normal, personally.
  4. I think KC gave up capital that they didn't need to give up. I don't think SF was taking Worthy. We'll never know, of course. But I don't see it as lending KC any kind of helping hand. If anything, they gave us a 3rd rounder for nothing.
  5. Most KC fans I saw couldn't believe they traded up for a guy they could have easily gotten at 32. Your response doesn't make much sense, imo.
  6. How did KC take advantage of us yesterday?
  7. Like you said - there is going to be a run on WR's. If they really like a guy, I think they have to take him at 33. I like Mitchell, personally - but I know almost nothing. UNLESS there is some trade in the works for an vet WR - which I also think is very possible. But they have to get a WR tonight.
  8. For what it's worth - I went to one of KC's boards after the Worthy pick, and I'd say at least half the sentiments were "we could have gotten Worthy at 32," and a good portion were "why did we trade up and not take Mitchell?"
  9. Secretly, I was kind of hoping they'd trade up into the top 10 for one of the top WR's. But, that would be pretty careless given our situation. JA is getting paid now - we need more picks, not fewer. Beane is playing it smart.
  10. So, if we got DeJean - does he move to safety?
  11. We need a #1. Worthy isn't that guy. It would have been illogical for the Bills to take a guy ONLY to keep him away from KC. I'm so glad Beane doesn't think that way.
  12. We need a #1 WR - not a 165 pound gadget guy/speedster who has the dropsies.
  13. You don't trade with KC!!! Well, unless you're making them give up draft capital for a player they very likely would have gotten by staying at 32. If I'm a KC fan, my complaint today is that we gave the Bills a 3rd rounder for nuthin'.
  14. How did he get "worked?" Unless we were taking Worthy - which we could have - this was all a plus. Where is the negative?
  15. The Bills trading down makes sense. KC trading up for Worthy makes no sense. There is an excellent chance he would be there at 32 if they just stood pat. But because of Mahomes and McDuffie, I'm sure the national narrative will be "KC did it to the Bills again" for awhile. But I simply don't see the negatives here. If both KC and Buffalo stood pat, we probably both end up w/ the same WR's we're getting anyway. And they gave up draft capital, while we gained it.
  16. I mean, if we didn't like Worthy - it's as good a move as any. We didn't "give" Worthy to KC - he very likely would have been there for them at 32.
  17. I seriously doubt they were expecting BTJ to drop much further.
  18. First KC comments I read were along the lines of "Worthy would have been there at 32 - would rather have taken Mitchell." Might be a chess move by Beane. Won't know for some time.
  19. I was worried the Pats would take Penix. I bet he turns out to be 2nd best out of this draft.
  20. I think he has Trubisky written all over him.
  21. I'm good trading up, or standing pat. A trade back would be tough. We traded Stephon Diggs. We have 2 receivers who are basically #3 guys right now. We need not just an immediate starter at that position - but a guy who can be an immediate #1.
  22. I'd be thrilled. But I'd also steer clear of this board for a bit.
  23. It's easy to agree w/ this. But, when you have a great QB - it's also hard to overstate how impactful a great WR can be, that you can pair w/ that QB for many years ahead. A Montana/Rice kind of situation here in Buffalo would be scary for the league. With Kincaid, Cook & Shakir, and the fairly young line we have, it's almost like we wouldn't have to even worry about personnel on the offensive side of the ball for another few years. I'm good w/ whatever tonight - but it won't bother me if we give up a real ransom for Odunze or Nabers.
  24. Honestly, that was a bad GM. He had tunnel vision about Mack, so went WAY out of his way to find some flaw w/ Callahan (teammates at a b-day party? Did he ask about Mack's birthday?) No objectivity, and very stubborn. I doubt that Browns team ended up doing anything.
