  1. He was just wrong. We noticed that he let 2 very questionable calls against the Bills go by without any real comment, but on the roughing call, it was all "water cooler" this and "I don't know" that.
  2. I mean, that kind of play - from the QB - can lift an entire team, and beyond just one game. What a huge play. We really needed that 3rd down, and he wasn't going to be denied.
  3. I can't help but think of the drought - and how some years, the only praise we had for the team after a game was for Moorman, and maybe Schobel. The OP covers all of the bases, but it's crazy how much credit there is to go around from last night. So many players contributed - there was talent all over that field, and it showed on every play. At the end when Davis caught a key pass, I was l like, oh yeah - that guy! We have talent on top of talent, and I'd argue the best depth in the entire league on both D and O. And all hail Beane. He started the offseason thinking one thing: we have to beat KC. He built the offseason around that, and it came to fruition last night. We can play w/ that team, we can beat them, and we can win a championship. He has done a masterful job. We've had a lot of exciting, big wins in the Allen era so far - but last night's was the most meaningful, at least for me. It's early, but it was one of those "the road to the SB goes through Buffalo" statements w/ the whole country watching that we haven't had in a LONG time.
  4. Agree on Collinsworth. I normally like him and don't mind him like some other fans do, but his "the thing they're going to be talking about around the water cooler" remark was ridiculous. For starters, that defender DID drive Josh into the ground. It was borderline, but it was no phantom call. And it felt like the 1st call that went the Bills way all night. I realize that's a homer take, but the Chiefs were bailed out on 3rd down all night, and that call against Dawkins WAS a phantom call. Anyway, great write-up. What a win. We may have the best team in the NFL.
  5. Klein made some nice plays tonight. That D has the same snarl that I remember from the early '90's defenses. They're disciplined and hard-hitting. All hail Beane - he designed the offseason around beating KC, and we just did. By a lot.
  6. Rousseau is becoming a star before our eyes. The whole D is great, but he is such a disruptor. I think I'd call that the most fun and most meaningful win the Bills have had in decades. They announced that they're the best team in the league tonight.
  7. Those are game faces. The Bills are ALL BUSINESS.
  8. They could have had Allen, Mayfield, Darnold, Jackson. Danny Jones may pan out, but they'd be better off today w/ any of those guys. I never want to see the Bills use an early round pick on a RB again.
  9. It would have been a completely demoralizing 1-4 start for New England. Oh, well.
  10. I mean, if it's worth saying once it's worth saying a million times - how cool is it that we finally have one of the top QB's in the league again? That was a seriously long journey since Kelly. It's the kind of thing that makes every game seem winnable....
  11. Stupid comment, but let he who is without sin & all that. I really don't like the trend of people making a mistake and having their whole lives judged for it. I hate to call it "cancel culture" because that makes it so political, but we've become a pretty unforgiving society.
  12. This means absolutely nothing, but I've felt good about this game the entire week. I'm usually worrying about everything, but haven't had a moment of trepidation yet. We're a better team than KC right now. Their offense may be slightly better, but as an overall team, I don't think it's close - our defense may be top 5 or at least 10 by the end of the year, and theirs is terrible. Of course they could win - Mahomes could do his usual thing, and they could get all or most of the breaks. But we win this game 8x out of 10.
  13. A 6th works for me. I was happier w/ no return at all - but what could the Pats possibly do w/ a 6th rounder?
  14. Allen is going to light up that secondary. Everyone was raving about them this past Sunday. But Brady was as off as I've ever seen him - guys were wide open and he was just overthrowing all over the place.
  15. LOL Jones had a great game on Sunday - but he's really not that good. That's a huge hit for that team. It's almost like they decided they weren't going to contend this year anyway.
  16. If the choice was between Allen and Herbert, I doubt any GM in the league would pick the latter to lead their team for the next decade+. Herbert looks great, but c'mon.
  17. I think the fact that Mahomes thinks he's on the Harlem Globetrotters now will be a benefit to the Bills this Sunday...
  18. Guys are busts until they aren't. Last year, it was Oliver, Edmunds and Epenesa, at various times. Now, those guys are all key players on a stellar D. Some guys just need more time. Not saying Ford will necessarily pan out, but he's still pretty young.
  19. I keep hearing the bolded. I've watched all of those guys. For starters, it's super early. I know you're not saying that in a definitive way, but some Pats fans are. As in, "we got the best rookie QB," and not, "he looks better up to this point." But he hasn't shown much aside from a little poise in the pocket, and that he can be really accurate on short passes. Guys like Lawrence have been asked to do much more, and have shown that they CAN do much more, in terms of a larger repetoire of passes, a better deep ball, running, etc. Even Wilson did a lot more yesterday than Mac is asked to do. I like Mac, and think you got a good one. But he was always the most pro ready. The other guys will improve a lot more, and have a broader skill set to do so.
  20. Jones has a little bit of Pennington in him. I doubt he'll be a bust - but I also doubt he'll be elite. He can can keep the Pats competitive as long as BB is there (and maybe beyond if the next coach is good). He's not the hardest QB to defend - doesn't have a long ball, and can't really move in the pocket, though he had a couple of plays where he was able to be elusive. And he is no run threat at all. The division is shaping up to be pretty good in the years ahead. Not this year obviously, but there are some good young players. It would have been fun to coast through a lame division every year like the Pats were able to during the dynasty years, but getting back to some good rivalry games will be fun, too.
  21. Honestly, looking around the league - we MAY be the best team right now. It's October, and of course, it's better to be the best in January & February. But I can't see another team I'd be afraid of, or that I think the Bills wouldn't be favored over...
  22. Nah. You definitely would have seen it up to 2007. Not really beyond that. But what's the logic? That because it happened w/ Brady, it will happen to Mac? The natural progression is dink & dunk, to throwing longer passes, to being the greatest of all time?
  23. Well, enjoy the cellar. Oh, and BB has lost it too. That final decision was terrible.
  24. And he didn't do that either. Why do you guys come here trying to convince us you're still good? You're 1-3, and tied for last place. We're coasting. See ya next year.
  25. Um, YOU were the one who said he outplayed Tom Brady. I was just correcting you.
