  1. So this gets you a 5th this year and helps the cap next year, it is kind of a cap neutral move for 2024....saves 1.44M but that has to be replaced so saves a little but the real savings is next year.
  2. I dont agree but I would do that deal. the cap situation is kind of broken. what logic did the chiefs use when they traded hill. They fixed wr when it was not broke and it has worked out ok. Not saying I think this is a great idea but you should listen to trades if teams are willing that don’t involve Josh Allen.
  3. Someone like Dawkins should have a price beane is willing to part with him for. Can you get a late first or second round pick you could replace him with on a cost controlled contract? Risky? Sure but at some point you cannot keep extending and doing salary to bonus conversions. I think it is highly unlikely but for the right price sure I’d do it.
  4. Huh?
  5. What would you get for him?
  6. According to spotrac it saves 1.4 million with a 4m dead cap hit. Afraid of concussions?
  7. Will they extend Morse now?
  8. The game does not exist in the NFL records, they played 16 games, period.
  9. Bengals game/Damar Hamlin? THe Bills played 16.
  10. They don't have a punter, Townsend is a UFA
  11. According to PFF he started 15 games in 2022, the Bills played 16 games, so how did he miss two?
  12. The two seasons leading up to last year he missed one game each.....then the broken leg. I use the availability argument too a lot. Earlier in his career there was a lot of soft tissue injuries that I remember was being addressed with training/nutrition. Injuries are part luck, part the person dealing with them, part habits and part genetics.
  13. As in he always has a season ending injury or as in maybe he missed 1-3 games at some point? Which btw with this regime should not be shocking given their conservative handling of soft tissue type injuries. Sure he has not been the most available guy but he is worth it.
  14. This chart looks like it was made by Butch from the East Side if people remember him from the old BBMB
  15. Perhaps this should be merged with the other thread on the homepage.
  16. The thing with this is it is important to be methodical and only pull the triggers when they need to be pulled. I dont expect them to do a bunch of stuff to get to 35M under the cap and then use it in FA/draft/replacement guys/practice squad. Rather, I expect a minimum required moves to get cap compliant with some space heading into FA and then additional moves as guys are signed to stay compliant.
  17. There have been a lot of WR's picked later in the first and second that are true #1's to justify the price to get get someone that could bust anyway. I say be patient, let the board play out and move a little when/if that makes sense. All the pre-draft stuff is noise that people make huge assumptions on. Any draft pick is risky so if its not a QB, I am not trading next years one and more day two picks for a better lottery ticket.
  18. Cap just went up 20M...inflation. Allen will be out of the top ten for AAV soon.
  19. I cannot see him coming back but I once thought that about Milano though so you never know.
  20. Dodson is limited and what do you call emergence of Williams and Spector? I don’t get it. Emergence of Bernard I understand.
  21. I think "should be back for training camp" is for 1 of 32 teams who sign him, not likely the Bills
  22. Russell Wilson had more rushing yards the year the Seahawks won the SB than Allen had last year. Besides with the evolution of the position there will be future winners who run it more. However I agree with your point that they should try to take more off of Allen's rushing but some of that is on Allen's growth as a passer and not just "more and better weapons".
  23. I can understand your first two lines but putting OL and DL as the afterthoughts after a bunch of offense is not really how good teams get built. The teams that wn the SB focus heavlily on OL and DL.
