How was Josh able to finish the game with a concussion?
Matt_In_NH replied to JakeFrommStateFarm's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think there are both...the independent neurologist can pull him but even if he does not the team can make that decision if they wanted. -
Are we figured out already? The issues as I see them

It is measure -counter measure. They need to adjust to what has happened the last two weeks and they can and will. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Hollins is a cool guy but limited at WR. He needs to get replaced. -
Worst (regular season) coached game in the entire McD era
Matt_In_NH replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was not three bombs. I agree with what McDermott said after the game. They should have run it on first and went from there. My point is the result could very possibly have been the same. You can second guess anything and everything when it does not go the way you want. People are upset because of the result. If they got a first and got to ot it would not be something discussed much. Similar to theb4th andn5 td to Coleman. If he drops that ball and Houston scores then McDermott would be flamed for that. -
The thread title is exactly where my head has been at since the start of last season. They can do anything during the regular season…..struggle or win all their games but if you get bounced in round two it’s all the same. It’s a long season with ups and downs. Perspective is key.

That is not true. One he could have hit it from where they got the punt and two the running plays with timeouts would have added a few seconds to the clock. They needed a first down. -
Op is a dolphins fan….

The problem is it is a very imperfect system. Alll he can do is ask questions. Observe the patient and compare to his baseline which you can pass even with a concussion. -

I agree it’s Joe Marinos fault. It’s.clear as day nice job articulating the facts. It’s just like birds not being real. Everyone thinks they are but then there is the guy or small group who cracked it. They are made by the CIA and charge on the power lines.

It does not get discussed much but his left hand affects his decisions and it affects the overall offense. The fact they blew the first two teams out after the injury was fortunate. The jags in particular played like morons.

That was a back injury. Josh did what most players instinctively know to do….stay down until you are more stable. It happens all the time if you are looking in nfl games. My beef is with the internet concussion experts who think they know what is good for everyone not on the bills but they don’t say jack when it is Josh Allen. -

They should have run it on first down like McDermott said but the criticism is harsher than it deserves. Like you said they had their timeouts. You could have taken all three at the expense of shorter plays and no chance to convert. When they coach aggressive and it works people don’t say crap when it does not work out the coach is dumb cass in point. If they had not gotten theb4rg and five then Houston scores that is what we would be dicussiong. Since it worked out, not a peep. -

Yeah I remember all the criticism of the dolphins for putting him back out there and the bills “would never do something like that”. yea the concussion system is a joke, it is easily gamed by the players. -

Anyone question the sequence of events after Josh appreared to be out cold like they do the dolphins? -

You just don’t like the result. Second guessing every little thing is exhausting to read on this board. You could slice it a bunch of different ways….but no matter what if you lose the pitchforks are out. Should have zigged when they zagged. The only stategy there you can argue is three runs to burn all three punt and hope they don’t get an attempt. They went for it to give them a better chance to get to ot. I’m out. -

I guess you could have bled the timeouts but then we would be hearing about conservative coaching. -
