NFL schedule release this Thursday
Matt_In_NH replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would that make any sense at all, the NFL is rigging against The Bills in favor of the Patriots? From the Patriots perspective its "rigging" would be against them, why would they not want to play a good team after their bye vs one they beat 9 out of 10 times for the better part of 2 decades? -
Is someone concerned that they could change the name to "Batavia Bills" LOL

No Gilmore, No Woods, No Brown, No Chance
Matt_In_NH replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see it that way at all. Gilmore is a clown who is good when he wants to be, he spent have of last season not trying. Of the tree, Woods is the biggest loss, he was a professional and gave his all in all areas but was underutilized. He will be replaced in the draft. Brown had a good season but his replacement is on the roster already. -
I see a clear change after the Pegula's took over. The philosophy clearly changed as a result of the owner being willing to spend more than the previous. Peters would still be a Bills if that went down under Pegula. The largest issues regarding the cap were put in place the first offseason with Rex. Giving McCoy more money so he did not complain, way overpaying for Clay, extending Dareus to get started. People say who cares about the money but I care because spending on the wrong guys means you cant spend on the right guys later on. I was not a big fan of the McCoy trade, my feelings at the time were that the Bills would look like the winners in the short term but 5 years out, Alonso could be a perennial pro bowler while McCoy is likely out of the league. When you consider the salary of the two guys I thought it was a bad deal. Dont take that to mean I dont think McCoy is a great player, he is. But they chose to spend a lot on a great player vs have a great player on his rookie deal for a few more years. Spending lots of money does not make you a winner.

That is pretty silly, are you including Toronto because they largely are not Bills fans. If we include NYC then the Bills have one of the largest markets too but there is nothing real about that just like there is nothing real about including Toronto. The Toronto series had as many fans of the other teams as it did BIlls fans. The answer to the question is still A since there are a significant amount of die hard Bills fans over the border, the count as much as someone from the states.

Michael Irvin being investigated for sexual assault
Matt_In_NH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not surprising because the guy is a scumbag He follows what a lot of on air personalities do that seem to make them popular. That is, no matter what you are saying, say it with extreme emphasis and be louder than that guy who just got finished talking was. -

Raiders looking to move to Las Vegas?
Matt_In_NH replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel for fans who lose their team. We are truly fortunate the Pegula's stepped up and saved Buffalo from losing their sports teams. No matter what you think about how things are being managed, at least we have something to B word about. -
Bills Showing Interest in Josh Gordon?
Matt_In_NH replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The risk is in guys you dont draft or keep and deveolop on your roster because you want this clown instead. -
OJ Howard, He fills the need for a WR but also give you mismatches and makes you less predictable. He is also predicted to go somewhere near the Bills pick so there is no reach. Basically they could run a lot of 12 or 22 personnel (2 TE's) with the option to motion Howard out after locking the defense into the personnel you want. Obviously running out of 12 and 22 will also be done. He also adds depth to TE which is a one (average) man show. Bills fans are hyper focused on players who have WR next to their name but the name. But to me, a TE who has WR type of receiving skills who can also block is way better than having a WR. In fact, he can be used as a WR in 4 man sets like NE does with Gronk.

In What Round Do the Bills Take Joe Mixon
Matt_In_NH replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would not touch him but that is just me. -
If Whaley did this, he would deserve lots of criticism. It does not make any sense at all for AP or the Bills. HAHA, OP obviously mean "kick the tires" ?
-
I am not sure I support this idea but if they team decided that made the most sense he doesn't have to like it, it is not really his decision. All the players should be willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win more games.

3 reasons Bills shouldn't use 10th pick on TE O.J. Howard
Matt_In_NH replied to pbanach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For those saying we need to use Clay, to me its obvious he is not the guy we thought he were getting. He does not have supreme athletic ability that Howard would bring. Clay has a chronic knee condition that makes it hard for him to excel. Drafting Howard is kind of equivalent to drafting a WR in terms of receiving talent but also adds the ability to block and add to the run game. Gronk is Bradys best receiver. I don't know that he is the guy to draft because they should use their rankings and there are other needs but he could make sense to me. -
The Bills are fighting for one of two wildcard spots as always.
