  1. Seeing the Eagles in concert is like listening to one of their albums... they have that **** so sterile that there is really no difference. Why pay the money? CaliforniaIgotcharitehereforaripoffhotel...
  2. To be honest, I'd rather see the Kinks put something together...
  3. As it stands for now anyways.... the 2018 tour has been announced: http://ultimateclassicrock.com/rolling-stones-2018-tour/
  4. Interesting, good post. I agree with the process except for the alcohol. The paint edger makes sense as it is pretty much 10,000 tiny fingers... basically like the tool you get with the NG... had to think about that one for a minute lol. Do you use a broken turntable just to have the spin when you clean them? Seems some sort of platter would be needed.
  5. I think he's talking about your 2026 typo... pretty sure we all got that it was meant to be 2016.
  6. I put a space inbetween the O'Regan comment and the tank comment to separate them.
  7. I can attest to this... I'm in the Tampa area and if some knucklehead screws up on, approaching, or exiting one of the 3 big bridges it will back the interstates up to sometimes 10 miles. Like someone said above... this texting and driving thing has really turned into a big hassle, get off the damn phone and drive.
  8. What do you mean by "natural cleaner"? If I were you I'd drop the alcohol, not good for vinyl or needles. I would suggest going to a photo shop/camera store/whatever you have around you, and getting a small bottle of developing fluid. The one around here gives it to me but I always give them a few bucks anyways. What it does is make the cleaning fluid "sheet" more over the vinyl when cleaning. Just a few drops in a 4 ounce container of cleaning fluid. In summary, for 4 ounces of cleaning fluid I use distilled water, one drop of original Dawn dish soap, and 3-4 drops of developing fluid. Like I said above, I'm using a Nitty Gritty so it might work differently if you are doing it by hand... have no idea how you go about it.
  9. O'Regan is a small dude, 5-10 180lbs... Anyone else think we are secretly tanking again? It sure looks and smells like it. This team has no spine or seemingly any direction at all.
  10. I remember him because we had our house in Lancaster up for sale in 71 or 72 and he came with another player to check it out. Problem was that the door jambs were too low, not for him, but for the other player that was with him... cannot remember That guy's name. Guess the consensus was that if he bought it a lot of big and tall people would be dropping by so it wouldn't work out. Pretty cool to have a couple of Bills come up and ring your door bell... the man died way too early: John Leypoldt Is Dead at 40; Former Place-Kicker for Bills AP Published: February 8, 1987 CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y., Feb. 7— John Leypoldt, a former place-kicker for the Buffalo Bills, died today of an apparent heart attack. He was 40 years old. From 1971 to 1976, Leypoldt kicked 74 field goals and 147 extra points, both team records, for the Bills. His 369 points made him the team's second-leading scorer, behind O. J. Simpson and his 420 points. Leypoldt was released by the Bills midway through the 1976 season and finished out the season with the Seattle Seahawks. He failed in an attempt to make a comeback with Buffalo in 1979. After his retirement, he was involved in real estate in the Buffalo area.
  11. Cut way too soon or not cut soon enough, depends on the viewer... Get a Life was on for maybe a year and a half. I liked it...
  12. This. I was ready to post it but I'm glad I scrolled up and saw that you mentioned it. The shoe shine guy ruled... here is a full episode:
  13. Not at all, sorry... I'm outside of Tampa.
  14. Hehe... they tell you that medium is hot. Mild is the way to go for me at least. Last time I had them at the Dick road location was when the Bills played the Bengals, at home, and Jimi Hendrix was the QB. No complaints, the wings were excellent... and the chick we had serving us was very cool too.
  15. 600 is a good size... I think I'm down to that from 10K+ when I did it for a living, sold a big chunk in bulk. Ebay used to be great but now it's not even a shadow of what it once was... they went commercial and stopped the money order/check payments and so I left them. I say 600 or so but these are the babes, no junk in there imo... but, I do have 6 big boxes of "gone through, don't want" that I'd give away to anyone who wants to haul them off. For anyone serious about vinyl... I bought one close to this one maybe 18 years ago or so. Well worth the money and easy to maintain. Will clean your dirty ass albums like nothing else... I make my own version of the fluid, the basis is Distilled water... and other minor things. This is a life saver if you are a vinyl fan:
  16. Shame that Crystal Beach is now condo's... that was the highlight of summertime in WNY as a kid... parents would always surprise us and boy did that get the blood flowing... the "are we there yet" kind.
  17. Good thread... and I agree with some others, baking is a tough one. In my mind its scientific with the ratio's of yeast, baking powder, what kind of flour to use, how long at what temp, what to add and when to add it, water or soda water, etc. I leave this to others lol. More of a traditional cook here, I like making breakfast for any meal any time of the day. As far as my best dish goes it would be roasted leg of lamb with whole garlic inserted with rosemary sprigs over the top and the usual sea salt and fresh cracked black pepper. Baste every half an hour. Side dish with that is mashed rutabaga with chopped bacon and mushroom gravy made with the juices of the roast. I haven't made this one in awhile though as I have less people in the house nowadays. Have a great wing recipe that I got from an old Buffalo eatery and when I make them I use whole wings, I don't break them up into flats and bats... you do that. Keeps more of the juices inside of the crispy exterior I have found. Use Marie's extra chunky bleu cheese dressing.
  18. Been into it since the early 80's... mainly Psych, Rock, and really anything that sounds good. The 60's and 70's are my favorite time period, especially the one album wonders, Mainstream label for example. Whaddaya into?
  19. I don't see how this could be a bad show... the guy is one of the hidden talents in the music world. Ever listen to the Tubes? He produced Remote Control... excellent Lp. First one, Al Kooper. Second one, Ken Scott... that is good company. I have Nazz lp's here somewheres but I haven't listened to them in Years... kinda forgot about them actually until this discussion.
  20. Have not been in that area in Years...
