Just because someone knows the ins and outs of a players college strengths and weaknesses doesn't mean they know how to build a winning, professional roster, to include coach selection and many other things that go along with being a GM.
At least Edwards had 14 wins under his belt before that. Haskins had 2 wins and also had the selfie thing and missed a play on the field.

For us fans, we remember 56-10.
In 10 games, I can't remember one playoff game in Rich Stadium history where the Bills or the opposition were not able to throw the ball effectively. Even in the -100 degree game against the Raiders.
Allen's TD was not a designed run. In an empty stadium, players on the field and sidelines can be heard very easily alerting a scramble is taking place. (no, you can't hear it on the television. Just making a general observation)
For years, the Bills were lucky to have a QB as their starter that could wins games, much less a backup.
I'm pretty sure this regime is not scared to upgrade the backup QB position if they see an issue with it.
