I was at the game and let me tell you what was happening downfield
Scott7975 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
and its not even really because the play itself is a bad play. Other teams like KC run similar stuff all the time. Its that the other team always sees it coming and we dont get the blocking right sometimes too. Also there have been some games where they try and run it way too much. Its almost like the Bills have like 4 play concepts in their book. -

Stevie Johnson and a couple other guys take. Its about 40 mins long though. -
Oh yeah against the NFC who has some top end teams I agree. I was thinking of just the AFC as a whole.
-
I would but I dont have cable so dont have Hallmark.

OK I will give one more that I just thought of... That one play where Allen passed the ball to Palmer and then he pitched it to Shakir in a gotta have it play was a thing of freaking beauty. I think its like the only creative thing I have seen Brady do. He was probably trying to save that for the playoffs.

You can't throw the ball away if you cant escape pressure and set.

We do not do well against teams we are supposed to beat.
Scott7975 replied to WhiskyBreath's topic in The Stadium Wall
This. Our roster is mid to bottom barrel with the exception of Josh, Cook, Bishop, Kincaid. We have a good oline but frankly I think its overrated. We have 2 stars on the team in total. Josh and Cook. -
I wouldn't say its weak. I'd say there is a shuffle this year. Pats have a balanced offense and defense that are both good. Not great but good. Denver has just as tough a defense as Houston. Colts are pretty balanced as well unless Danny Dimes turns into a pumpkin. Ravens can still be dangerous. Oddly Cinci could still make a run and now Burrow is back I think. KC can maybe turn it on still but I'm not sold on that. Houston could still make the playoffs and do damage because of that defense. They have won 3 in a row now.

I dunno about silver lining but the Bills will probably still win enough games to get the last WC spot. Either KC or the Ravens probably wont make it this year. Maybe both. Depends on the next few games. If the Colts beat KC then their season is pretty much over. Another silver lining... After all that brutality Josh took, he isn't dead. He will probably hide some injury the rest of the year though. Twice his wrist on his throwing hand he was shaking off so there is something there.

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play

Dude. You completely started it. Instead of arguing the post you attacked me like I'm some moron. I was right on the post. Get your eyes checked. -
November vs December & January Bills Football
Scott7975 replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Different team. Different season. We will win enough to make the WC, but the division is out of reach. The defense is a mess. The offense is a mess. There will probably be like 15 players on the injury report. -

Try watching the video. I was 100% right. Defense wasn't giving him much of anything through the entire game. I am sure he missed some stuff but he was under duress all game long and all QBs miss some stuff. So your answer to this is that he adjusted upfield, while the ball was already in the air, and let the safety have a clean catch to the ball instead of continuing his route where Allen expected him to be? -
I still think McD is a good coach but I also think this whole team needs a reset. Only one I would keep is the oline coach.

No it wasnt a misfire. It was thrown where it should have been thrown. Palmer was streaking down the 10 yard line. Thats where the pass was going. Palmer adjusted his route upfield after the ball was already in the air. Had Palmer continued his route where he was initially going then he would have boxed out the safety. If he went upfield to the endzone then the safety is in prime position. Palmer screwed the pooch there. Slow the video down and watch it. Knox might have been his first read. If thats the case then Allen long moved on before Knox was even in the picture. You think a QB should stay on the first read for how long? -

Oh and btw Josh had Palmer. Palmer screwed up. Play it in slow mo. Palmer is running across the 10 yardline when Josh started that throw. Had he continued his direction, he would have flashed in front of the safety and caught that ball... or at least he would have been in position to. Instead he changed his route direction and went upfield while the ball was already in the air. This put him at the 5 and allowed the safety to easily get in front of him for the INT. As much as people want to cry about Knox being open, so was Palmer. Palmer just messed up. Oh please. If he threw to Gabe and he dropped it or whatever, then everyone on the board would be crying that "he has to take what the defense gives him" " he should take the easier throw" "Hawes was open" People cry no matter what. -
Ok thanks

If he is released, doesn’t that void his contract?

Yes this is true we would have a shot at 4th and goal from I think 14 yards out. I think the play design was always supposed to goto Palmer based on the pick play they ran. a lot of Brady’s offense looks like a one read deal similar to Tua offense. Josh didn’t forget how to play football. Technically Palmer was also open but Josh didn’t make the greatest throw either. -

I think every Bills fan saw it flash before their eyes when Josh was shaking his leg like that. He also had a throwing hand wrist injury on the final drive. I seen him grab it and he was trying to shake it off in the huddle. Dude is tough af. -

Because Joe Brady is a poor game planer and his play package is primitive. The other teams knew what we were going to do since Atlanta. No I am not saying it because of that tweet in this thread. I have said it since the Atlanta game. Atlanta at minimum figured out our motions and how to fool Josh and get him to play into the defense. On a side note: I think this game might have been slightly different if we had Kincaid available. They don't use Knox in the same way and Kincaid has a knack for them short to mid range quick throws and turning them into first downs. I would have liked to have seen more passes to the backs last night. Texans LBers are also very good though. A lot of people want to blame Josh for everything. I guarantee you if Josh had a real OC and one #1 guy that this team would be nie unstoppable on offense. Sure, Josh has his head scratchers but what QB doesn't? Hell, Id bet just a real OC and this same crew would perform better and we lose maybe 1 game thus far. -

He also had a lot of 0, 1, 2 yard gains. Kind of hard to keep using him in those situations because they are behind the sticks. Then Josh makes an inc or takes a sack. They arent going to run the ball on 2nd and 3rd and long. In fact they did run the ball one time on 2nd and long and he got 2 yards which created 3rd and long. -

That play was coming back on penalty anyways. The reason Knox was open was Davis took out the defender that was going to cover Palmer. The guy that ended up covering Palmer was the defender that would have been on Knox had the ball been thrown that way and the other defender not taken out. -
11/20/2025 Bills @ Texans post game thread
Scott7975 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The run was keeping us behind the sticks all game. They are just as quick to kill a drive. Especially when they still try that dumb screen to Shakir a few times a game after said stuffed run. -
You can want that all you want but that’s not who Allen is. Allen did a few times take what the defense gave him. It lead to punts. They aren’t going to march 80 yards down the field 2 yards at a time.
-
I can hope can’t I? Better than just excepting some wr coach that no one has ever heard of taking the reins or something. The one play they kept two backs in the backfield and Allen was still sacked in like a second.
