Worse. It was pistol formation putting the back behind the QB. Just lol.

Well two things. One, Diggs is the first read. Second, he isn't throwing over there with a defender in his face and a linemen on his right hip.
-
I don't even think Dorsey knows what this offense is trying to do. He needs to go. He is not a good OC. What I do know is they are emphasising taking Josh out of Josh. He no longer just takes off with the ball when he sees he can clearly grab 10-20 yards with his own legs. Coaching staff is too afraid of Cam Newton. They also are actively taking away Josh risk throws that yes... sometimes hurt us but more often than not is a superstar play and what made this pathetic offensive system work. Those are the two things that Josh is special at that makes him elite. The same two things the coaching staff took out of him to try and turn him into Tom Brady which is not what he is special at. Nor do we have the players or play design to make that offense work. One other thing I know is that this offense, even in Daboll years, has a tendency to shoot itself in the foot and end up in 3rd and 15+. I use to say to myself "no problem, Josh got this." Now I don't.

We have a complicated offense so he will be 30 by the time Dorsey gets him on the field.

As I have said in two other threads already... Josh said in a pc that Diggs is the first read in a lot of their passing concepts. If he sees Diggs open or he thinks Diggs will get open then that is where the ball is going. That is the design of the Dorsey offense. Also... So you don't have to click the tweet... Honestly, I don't remember. Yes, I also saw that but it doesn't matter. You can google and find the same data.... 50ish range field goals are not 50/50 anymore. They haven't been for 20 years.

So basically, Gabe is a deep ball specialist one trick pony in an offense that wants to now play dink and dunk.

Rule 4-8-2 ARTICLE 2. PERIOD EXTENDED. At the election of the opponent, a period may be extended for one untimed down, if any of the following occurs during a down during which time in the period expires: (h) If a double foul occurs during the last down of either half, the period shall be extended by an untimed down. Exceptions: The half is not extended if: (1) both fouls are dead-ball fouls (2) there is a major-minor double foul (“5 vs. 15”), and the major foul is by the offense, or if the major foul is a dead ball foul by the defense (see 14-5-1-Item 1.) Note: Dead ball, personal, unsportsmanlike conduct, or taunting fouls by either team at the end of a half are enforced on the ensuing kickoff (14-4-9-Exc. 1). (3) there is a double foul with a change of possession (“clean hands” rule, see 14-5-2) that does not involve a replay of the down. If a double foul occurs on the last play of the first or third periods, the period is not extended.

Are we going to ignore the receiver also pushed off Johnsons face mask? Yes, it could have been called. It could have also been a push off/illegal hands to the face by the receiver. I also thought the one that was called was pretty tick tacky and they missed two trips on our receivers to start the game. Officiating is what it is... absolute garbage. In the same game you can add in a PI called on us when the receiver actually grabbed our dp and pulled the db into himself. I forgot the two involved but I remember the play.

Maybe 20 years ago. 60 yard fgs are the 50/50 of todays NFL. Bass was 3 of 3 before the Giants game this year. 11 of 15 career before Giants. This chart is 3 years old.
-
I'd like to know what was up with Bass. McD passed on a 55 yard FG early with Bassomatic. Bass proceeds to miss two of them later. There was no wind in the game and we were home.

Unleash Josh Allen...stop trying to change him

We use to be able to beat man coverage too but that was in the days when we had prime Brown and prime Beasley. We don't have those quick separation guys anymore. What we have is guys that separate by busted coverage and extended off script plays. -
The Chiefs are also definitely not playing as well this year as in years past either.

How was the crowd last night for those that went?
Scott7975 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I was wondering that myself. I couldn't tell if the crowd just wasn't into it or the broadcast turned the crowd mic down. The game was pretty boring until towards the end and it was a long morning/day/night so I can see why the crowd was pretty tame. -

Miami has one of the worst defenses in the league. I expected us to destroy them. Even the Giants have a better rated defense than Miami. It was McD and that defense that gets some kudos for that game. Not many defenses can slow down their offense. -

Josh did also say in the pc that Diggs is the first read in a lot of their concepts. If Josh feels he is open or is going to get open then that is where Josh is going to go with the ball. It doesn't matter how many screen grabs someone shows of some guy open on the los. Josh probably didn't look there by design. -

Yes, you get it. Josh obviously isn't running much this year. Defense has changed how they played him. They don't need to spy him anymore. They also don't need to really play contain on the rush anymore. This makes it easier to both cover and rush the passer. -

I been saying it since last year and some of it almost every year... they are going to coach Josh out of Josh. People so scared he gonna turn into Cam Newton. He won't. Cam Newton was never as good. Now that the legs were coached out of him the big talk is .... "take what the defense gives you" crap. Josh is not Brady. We don't have receivers that made that type of offense work nor the offensive system that makes that type of offense work. Josh has different attributes that make him special and both of those are coached out. We saw two glimpses of it yesterday. One where he just committed to and took off and ran and the other the TD pass. That TD pass is the same pass everyone cries about when it's an int. It's also what won us the game. Yes, this happens a lot. Somewhere though somebody is going to find an incompletion and show where some slow ass guy is wide open at the los and thinks they can bust one for 10 yards but in reality he would only get 6 on third down or Josh has already moved on and couldn't realistically get that person the ball because of the pressure. People like to live in picture still moments and not realize that all that happens in 2 seconds. -
Dorsey and McD have successfully coached out of Josh what actually made Josh special. I been saying it for years to not coach Josh out of Josh. Well they did it. It takes a special group of coaches to successfully coach the special something out of a Qb that makes him elite to begin with. It’s fricken disgusting.
-
Holy crap. That’s better than a billboard.
-
The person that deserves credit for that game is McD for slowing that Miami offense down.
-
Wow this really illustrates how insane that TD to Morris was.
-
Yup. I am on board. Dorsey is terrible. There is just something not right with his offense. I don't care what the stats say about #2 offense last year and Josh completion percent or whatever other stupid stat someone wants to pull up... Dorsey is not good. He has no idea how to make use of the guys we have. He makes a couple cool plays per game but that's about it. The shotgun with the back behind the QB on the goal line is what sealed it for me. I don't care that he had a good play after that. That play alone is just braindead stupid enough that he should be fired for.
