  1. The blocking should get more credit for Cook than people give it. We have a good line. We use more TE blocking sets, fullback blocking, WR blocking all probably more than any other team. I am not saying Cook isn't great. He is, but he isn't #1 in the league. A lot of his big runs are before contact. I was looking for another stat, that I didn't find yet, but I was surprised by this stat... Cook only ranks 15th at seeing 8+ in the box. I honestly thought it would be closer to the top but it isn't.
  2. A lot of reshuffling is about to happen over these last weeks. I don't mind peoples optimism. Nor do I mind their pessimism. Good to have some balance IMO. Personally, I am not going to get too high over beating the Steelers. They aren't that good on either side of the ball. Bengals are at least good on one side. Pats arent great on either side but they are good on both. Browns are good on one side. Eagles, I dunno what the hell they are TBH. Then there is the Jets; a garbage team that would probably hope to lose for a better draft pick. I think the one seed is out of reach. I also think the division is close to out of reach. The way the games this week went, has me at least confident we get into the playoffs now though. Anything can happen in there.
  3. Before all that, I wanted to kick the FG. I felt at the time that taking the points was more valuable given how the game was going. Just like in the HOU game, had we taken FGs instead of not making it on 4th downs, we probably win that game. Its not like this game was a shootout or even a team capable of doing what KC does with end of game scoring. In saying that, it was the false start that ruined that. They called TO either because they wanted to see their defense and put their best play in there or they didn't like the play they had called against the D they showed. Not sure. Either way, I am fine with that. I didn't need them trying to rush another possible score after another drive. Those things can result in picks or fumbles as well, which would just have given Pitts another score attempt chance. At the end of the day, people will criticize it no matter what they did in that situation.
  4. He is definitely one of the best podcasters. I'd rather listen to him then the guys on WGR even. Locked On isnt even a Bills thing. There is one for every team. I think there is anyways. I've seen a few guys from some of the other teams. If they popped up in my feed during the game week, I would try and give those guys a listen as well. The other ones I have watched don't hold a candle to Marino either. I don't think Marino is always right though. Not even sure who you were commenting to but thought I would add my 2 cents.
  5. Its not likely. I said it could happen. Which it can.
  6. This team always has a good plan for Watt. I said before the game that Watt doesn’t play well against us. Granted, doing it with backup tackles on both ends was next level.
  7. I think it can be quantified. I’ve said for years he plays better after a decent hit.
  8. I think the AFC looks worse for us this year than before. The teams may look mediocre but really it’s just more teams in the mix on our level. Just my 2 cents.
  9. That would push one of KC or Houston in there. Maybe help with both if Pittsburgh keeps falling.
  10. Don’t take me the wrong way. Nothing wrong with it. I just meant to do it to see what you would really think for yourself.
  11. anecdotes. If you said can we beat x team, you might have a point. You asked if we could win out that way. We could. It’s not likely. Tampa has a bad pass defense. Week one never counts for things like this and they actually had a bad defense too. you get very high after a mediocre win. You get low after a loss but then quickly find a way to hype yourself back up. Lose the emotion then look at it objectively.
  12. Doubtful. Pittsburg is not some world beater. Don’t get me wrong. It was a great win that we needed but it’s just true. Neither their defense nor offense is great. They have some great players but not a great team on either side of the ball. I think we could if we get at least one tackle back and Kincaid back. It’s just that no game is a gimme except maybe the Jets, so i doubt it. Especially if we are one dimensional on offense.
