It is a mess out there for sure and you have to choose your battles, but I can't see a scenario where I'm gonna sit idly by if someone intentionally disrespects my kids or wife. I'm certainly not coming out swinging at the drop of a hat., but I'm not gonna brush it off either.....these are all hypothetical scenarios, so who knows.

What great timing. The bride and I are out to her alma mater for the Pittsburgh Hurricanes game. She's a Pitt grad and I'm simply a Hurricanes fan. I've been wearing my gear since Friday and have had very little grief. I just hit 40 and have much less desire to resort to fisticuffs than I have in the past. With that being said I wouldn't be too concerned if it came down to it with the kids I see walking around campus

Great.....now I feel like a dick. If it makes you feel any better, my dad and I were out in the bay once when I was about 9. I was treading water because I couldn't touch the ground. He couldnt swim well and lost is footing. In an effort to keep from going under he used my head to steady himself and pushed me under the water until he regained his balance.

I love my mother to death but when she arrives at the house in the morning to get the kids off to school most conversations start along the lines of "Did you hear about those kids on the news who were tortured and killed?"
