He's getting cut when the PED and IR guys come back -
You have high hopes for Gabriel? I think Minnesota wins. They have been overseas for two weeks, and a 1st time starter is going against an aggressive defense that is great at showing different looks to confuse a QB

That's possible for sure. Its hard for me to imagine someone being in top .0001 percent making millions could be soft. You don't get there if you are soft

The Ray Davis-backup running back discussion

I agree with you, we do need to mix them in a little more. Maybe Ray hasn't been given enough reps, but it's like nature vs nurture argument to me. I don't think it has to be one or the other. If Ray was looking good they would have given more reps and because Cook looks so damn good they see bo reason to That said, they seem like they want to moderate Cook a little better because there are no trophies for winning in September and the goal is a win in February -
I think that hamstring issue that caused him to not push to go for it on 4th down was a very real thing.. I've never seen him caught from behind by lineman like we saw the last few weeks So yes, we did break them

The Ray Davis-backup running back discussion

If he didn't discuss it with the staff and hasn't shown much with his limited opportunities, that could be a reason we have seen very little of him. 26 carries as of this time last year. Now he has 11. last year at this time he had 3 receptions, this year he has 0 This is true. The coaches see these guys everyday. You give him a few game run now to see if they feel he would be a better fit for what they want in RB 2/RB 3. If they don't see it,nthen you don't do it -

That is a good question. We don't know did Ray do it without talking to the club or did the club ask him to do this -

Did I say he's no good? I've said he has not looked good SO FAR. And that is true. Then I asked others opinions. Thank you, you've added so much to the conversation. -

I just looked his first 4 games last year was 26 for 75 yards. 3.0 yards per carry. So he is down on touches and YPC but it's not some huge difference Maybe it just feels that way to me. Gotta get back to work fellas. Looking forward to reading everyone else's thoughts -

If there are any all-22 guys, could you post the Davis runs in here so we could take a look at them? -

Last year while games were still close that were plenty of times Ray got damm near an entire series as part of a rotation Last year it was 50-25-25. Now it's not even close. I get Cook looks great. He looked this great last year as well. And I'm cooks biggest fan and was all over the pay Cook side of things. That said, I think with where the team is at, it's valid to consider how we lock up the 1st seed and make sure Cook is available and looks this good in January and February I think it both as well Ty looks fine to me. Very true. That first paragraph especially. I didn't understand when people made that argument -

It's not that. He just doesn't seem to shed tackles, push the pile or any of that tough running he did last year. I want cook to get the bulk. But damn near 400 touches before playoff time is not a good place We need our 2nd best player on offense and our best offensive weapon available in January -

That is fair. The jets he had 9 carries for 24 yards. 8 yard run was his long.
