Beane said it himself if Kinkaid was picked he would have traded back, he was clearly sticking out for them so he did what he felt was the right move. I love the bold move to get Allen another weapon and felt it was a solid move, I hate comparisons but if we just landed Travis Kelce at 25 do we really care about the 4th given away? I sure wont.
There is a reason you trade back, if there is an abundance of guys rated on your board all simialar in grade or you don't see value dropping to your pick. You don't trade back just to recoup the pick you gave up imo.
Some players I'd love to get in round 2: (In no particular order and all are visits in some capacity by the Bills accept Porter jr but would love to have him)
ILB Trent Simpson
ILB Drew Sanders
OG O'Cyrus Torrence
OG Steve Avila
DE Adetomiwa Adebawore
S Ji’Ayir Brown
S Brian Branch
DT Gervon Dexter
DT Zacch Pickens
OT Dawand Jones
CB Joey Porter Jr.
I wanted Nolan Smith, I think he could be a differnce maker as a pass rusher but I think the exact same about Kincaid but for the offense, he will be put in many situations and will be an absolute mismatch. We took a position that was supposedly 1 of the most talented groups in this class and it's criminal that they fell like they did in this passing era but that's excellent for us.
He's a special talent and shouldn't just be listed as TE, he will be a huge mismatch, can put him out as a WR or 2 TE sets, at FB going out in the flat, he's the best recieving TE in the class by a large margin imo.
This was said to be a draft with elite TE's and we just got the cream of the crop. There were few positions I would of hated so I never thought Kincaid had a chance of getting to us so I'm really happy with this pick, an elite difference maker so we definitely shouldn't be mad.
I just don't see a slot WR at 27, we have Shakir and just picked up 2 in FA and no chance he's the 27th best player in this draft class. I still think OL will be the selection, Torrence, Avila or 1 of the RT's imo.
