  1. In Chris Brown's interview with Dan Orlovsky today he said the Bills already had a practice on Monday. Why haven't we heard any reports of participants or anything?
  2. Becoming what? He caught 2 actually, but that one pass was a completion we haven't successfully completed all year.
  3. I would like a Joshua Palmer update. He almost looked like he was gonna go back in the game last week when they were taping up his ankle but in McDermott's Monday presser I thought I remembered McDermott lumping him in with the week to week injuries. I could be wrong about that and hope to be corrected. With that said, it really looked like Palmer was poised for a breakout game. Unlocking him and getting the chemistry going between him and Josh would be awesome. I just keep going back to how Aikman and Buck in the broadcast were talking about how Bills staff discovered Palmer is a lot faster than they originally thought...
  4. Maybe them Yes!!!! That's a great one! And look at the impact they've had on their QB.
  5. I did say that I acknowledge there are others, didn't I? So the most recent example is from 2008? Kinda reinforces my point. Also, other than Rice and Moss, none of those guys are the force that Chase is. And Chase is looking like a legitimate contender to be in the "best WR of all time" conversation. Now find me that ongoing list in the modern NFL. Are there any from the last 2 decades other than Wayne and Harrison?
  6. Objectively the Bengals have Chase and Higgins. Flacco's strategy yesterday was basically to just get the ball in their hands as many times as possible. And it worked. Honestly I've always thought Burrow is a little overrated. I'm trying to think of better WR duos in NFL history. None pop up in my head. I'm sure there are some. Can't be many
  7. Nothing in life is, but anyone who would put actually put money on the Bills missing the playoffs is (respectfully and IMHO) short-sighted and overreacting and have bad memories. And right now that's exactly how a lot of people seem to feel.
  8. Respectfully, unless you want to stop being a Bills fan and watching football, that's all you can do. Oh wait... sorry... you can go on message boards and complain about it and accomplish nothing.
  9. Yeah we lost. We lost by 1 score and a couple plays not going our way. It's not like the Bills stood no chance in those games. In 2020 and 2022 the Bills were obviously outmatched. Not 2021 or the last 2 consecutive years. Those games were all a play or coaching decision or maybe even a fair and obvious 1st down call by a ref from going the other way. In 2021, don't kick it in the EZ for a touch back. In 2023, can the OL give Josh even a fraction of a second longer to get that ball to Shakir? In 2024, can the refs AND replay assist give us an obvious 1st down on that tush push? Can Kincaid catch a ball directly in his hands? Not just one score games but one play games we always end up on the wrong side of. It's the NFL. One score games are frequently decided as much by luck as talent and coaching. Blowing it all up or giving up because of some in season struggles 6 games into a 17 game makes no sense. Look back at 2021 please. Everyone says that was our best shot at winning the Super Bowl and it probably was. The Bills were 7-6 in mid December and had 2 losses waaaAAAaaayyyy worse than anything we've seen this year against the Jags and Colts. And then what happened? That team we saw in the playoffs that year was unlike anything we saw that regular season aside from occasional glimpses. And we don't go back to 2021 thinking and talking about the playoffs because playoffs are all that mattered . That's what I mean by that phrase. It's not saying I'll be satisfied with getting into the playoffs again. It's saying I just don't see the point in freaking out over our annual early season slide when it always happens. And the players are human and maybe why that slide happens. Buffalo has been flat multiple games in a row. For a roster that has so much experience losing heartbreaking one and done playoff games, it wouldn't surprise me at all if there's an element of finding it hard to get up for regular season opponents they "should" beat on paper. Maybe that's a coaching thing because it essentially happens every year. But what's also a coaching thing is that McDermott has a pretty incredible record of righting the ship and getting his players back up after these slides. Every year. My own approach is to enjoy the regular season and save all the stress for the postseason. But I do understand the weekly up and downs, too.
  10. How is that the truth for a roster that was a potential couple plays away from playing in the Super Bowl last year after beating another team that many believed was one of the best rosters in the NFL in Baltimore?
  11. I've watched the Bills over the years. And especially last year when we fielded the most similar team to what we have this year. And we were a few plays away from taking down the Chiefs in that game.
  12. Thanks. I said it in another thread that people should be used to this by now.
  13. The Bills have been 4-2 at this point 4 of the last 5 seasons. But because this season is now, the sky is falling.
  14. I'm genuinely curious about this.... So you're honestly saying this year's team is less talented than last year's team? I feel like if you take a minute and do a position by position comparison to our players last year you would rescind that statement.
  15. The transitive property doesn't work in the NFL
  16. And I'm tired of people who don't understand that once the playoffs begin, everything resets. Being a part of the playoff field is what matters, and we will be. Once we're there, we have JA17 and other teams don't.
  17. Wtf??? Low expectations???? All that literally matters is getting into the playoffs and starting to play the actually legitimately important games we can freak out about in a loss. The playoffs are an entirely new season and every other playoff team would fear the Bills, Chiefs and Ravens alone regardless of record and seeding simply because of who's under Center and previous playoff experience.
  18. Wait.., we're going to the playoffs but we've already fumbled the year away with 11 games remaining? If this is your perspective, you're new to football. Teams in the NFL are almost always very different heading into game 16 than game 6. Once again, take a breath.
  19. No. I just don't have the memory of a goldfish. I've seen this regular season script play out every year since 2021.
  20. This freakin place is so awful after a loss. Obviously 2 in a row makes it way worse. We're making the playoffs. That's all i care about. I would love the #1 seed, but I reject any notion we need it. McDermott's playoff road record may be 0-whatever, but that leaves out the fact that other than 2019 (when we weren't this iteration of the Bills and Josh Allen wasn't yet Elite), every road playoff loss came against the Chiefs. That proves somehow we're doomed on the road against other teams in the playoffs??? Totally disagree. I also think this crowning of NE is really premature. Guys, before the season started looking at our schedule to start the season I think we all would have been happy with 5-1 at the bye. We're one game off that pace with a mass of circumstances I think we underestimated. Let's just take a step back for a moment and look at what really happened against Atlanta. Our #1 receiving weapon who's become Josh’s most reliable target and finally seemed ready to break into that "Elite TE" category was out. Josh Palmer got injured on the 2nd series and I really think that killed our offensive passing game. It was clear to me the Bills were about to integrate him more into the offense. Even the commentators brought up the conversations they had with Bills coaches last week about Palmer's deceptive speed. Daquan Jones suffered a calf injury during warmups leaving us with 3 active DTs, one of them being Ed Oliver coming off injury. (Side note: Deonne Walker is going to be awesome!) 3 DT rotation against Bijan and Algier??? Yikes! Bernard gets hurt mid game and exits. McGovern gets hurt and comes back clearly still hobbled. Plus we have 2 important defensive reinforcements coming in right after the bye and hopefully Hairston can play soon after. Say whatever about our remaining schedule but none of these teams are that scary. The Bengals will probably still be starting Flacco and their D sucks. The Eagles (as stated) look like the NFC version of us. Kansas City is, in reality, an inconsistent up and down team we're going to play at home and is the one team on our schedule this team doesn't look past. Yes they got players back, but they lost last week against the Jags with Worthy and it baffles my mind the way Rashee Rice is talked about as an Elite WR who will inevitably unlock their offense. The guy has played 20 NFL games and surpassed 100 yards a whopping 4 times. I'm not saying he won't be good and won't help, but the whole "uh oh!!! It's the high power Chiefs of 5 years ago!" is pretty ridiculous. The Bucs and Steelers look good, but how much do we really think that lasts? We aren't going undefeated after the bye, but who cares? January into (hopefully) February is all that matters. Just get there. Take the bye, get healthy... take a breath.

  22. We go through this lull every freaking year and end up right where we will end up this year. Wake me up in January when we're playing our first playoff game.
  23. This might be the only thread I post in for the next week and a half. Walker is a stud.
  24. He loves Josh Allen more than any other QB in the NFL at this point but gets burned by the Bills every single year. When he predicts they're winning the Super Bowl. The volatility of his rankings is his coping mechanism... that's all.
