  1. Elevations need to happen within the next 20 minutes. We should know.
  2. I got to thinking about this because I was thinking ahead to the Patriots game when we play a division rival coming off their bye... which sucks. We also played the Falcons coming off their bye. We know how that went. We also played another division rival in the Dolphins coming off a Thursday night game with an extra 4 days of rest. And ya know what, we're going to play another big conference game against the Bengals where they're coming off a Thanksgiving Thursday Night Football game. Yes, the Bills benefitted from the bye week coming in to play the lowly Panthers and a Saints team we got extra rest for after a TNF game and will benefit from playing on TNF next week against the Steelers, but we have 2 divisional road games this year where we are scheduled with a rest disadvantage. All rest disadvantages against conference opponents except the Steelers. By itself, I wouldn't really cry foul, but the Bills are -7 in rest disadvantage days for the whole season. The next closest AFC teams even remotely contending for an AFC playoff spot are the Steelers and Browns both at -4 followed by the Texans at -2. All the other AFC contenders for the playoffs have a rest advantage with the Jags (if we wanna call them a contender) at +1, the Chiefs and Patriots at +2, the Bengals and Colts at +3 and the Ravens and Chargers at +5. Those are just the contenders for playoffs in the AFC. To show the disparity in rest advantages, there's a 32 day difference from the team with the greatest rest advantage in the Lions at +13 to the team with the biggest rest disadvantage in the Raiders at -19. And yes... gotta go out and win the games you play... but I guarantee statistically it's significantly more advantageous to play a team with a rest advantage rather than a rest disadvantage. You would really think in a league that touts its own parity, they would really be trying to make the schedule a little more equal than a 32 day rest disparity from top to bottom.
  3. Also... no one posted yet, but Irving and Godwin are OUT on Sunday along with Reddick and Bredesen. https://www.buccaneers.com/team/injury-report/ Interesting because everyone kept saying Irving and possibly Godwin would be playing this week. No gamesmanship on Bowles's part in even listing them as questionable or doubtful.
  4. Me too... I don't think it's rational at all, but getting Davis and Palmer in the lineup (I think/hope) is going to be a world of difference to our passing game. Just watch Gabe Davis's highlights from last year with Jacksonville In terms of effort alone, give me that over Keon Coleman all day every day of the week. Add to that the fact that Josh has been using the word "trust" SO MUCH week after week after week and Gabe is probably a guy Josh trusts so much as a WR that we've actually criticized him for it over Gabe's last couple seasons. I just think even that Gabe we heavily criticized in 2022 and 2023 is a much better option than Coleman at the X. It's why I actually think he's signed to the active roster this week and Keon is inactive on Sunday. Might be wishful thinking...
  5. Other than that one tackle Cam was actually really good against the Dolphins. Making a broad sweeping statement like "Cam cannot tackle" is like saying "Cole Bishop sucks!" because he missed that tackle against Derrick Henry on the sideline for the long TD in week 1
  6. What a load of crap. Yes they did. You're one of the people I'm referring to who clearly has no memory of the 2021 regular season.
  7. I dunno... this year reminds me a lot of 2021 actually. Allen had 22 TDs and 8 turnovers through 9 games in 2021. Through 9 games this year he has 22 TDs and 7 turnovers. The team success reflected his struggles in 2021 just like it does this year. I really think people forget about what happened in the regular season of 2021. Those losses to Jacksonville and Indy in 2021 were more embarrassing losses than our losses to the Falcons and Miami this year, IMHO.
  8. Replace Coleman with Moore and I think those are our active WRs this week.
  9. Awesome! Only players who look relatively questionable to play are Shakir and Lewis!
  10. I actually think he's going to be inactive.
  11. The fact that Joshua Palmer is a full participant this week and pretty clearly is going to play tells me he probably could have played on Sunday against the Phins. Gross.
  12. I haven't listened to Joe Marino's All-22, but Sal Capacio on his podcast right after the game pointed out that reporters and beat writers after the game are always given a game book, which includes personell and the Dolphins played with 3 LBs on the field for the vast majority of the game. So yes.
  13. It's weird (and probably a little sad) that I'm at the point where I think Joshua Palmer and Gabe Davis are going to massively upgrade our WR corps.
  14. Is he though? I think Shavers would be better at everything Keon does, actually.
  15. Thanks... this is the main reason I'm just not caring all that much right now. Buffalo proved this season already it can beat elite teams when it beat KC and Baltimore when it was healthy and full strength. I think everyone forgets these are human beings playing the game and most of them have gone through these regular season wins and losses for the last 6 straight years if you go back to 2019 (very few of those guys on the team) and there's gotta be a part of them (hopefully a very tiny part) that they battle with internally throughout the season that feels like none of the games they're playing now are going to matter in mid January. And when that little devil takes over and you get a ridiculous loss like yesterday, the team responds. I expect a good game from the Bills next weekend.
  16. Sadly, this is true. He always excelled in the scramble drill
  17. Yes... I would rather have a win over the Chiefs than the Dolphins. Both would be nice, though.
  18. Guess what... the #1 seed is also still very in reach, too. No team in the entire NFL has less than 2 losses. The Bills have 3. Getting the #1 seed would be nice, but it's not like it's a deal-breaker for winning the Super Bowl.
  19. Have you watched the NFL ever? It happens all the time.
  20. Our lows are much lower than when? 2021 had some pretty freakin low lows (Hello Urban Meyer!!!) yet that was somehow our best chance to win the Super Bowl in terms of our roster. This game doesn't mean much to me except it unfortunately demonstrates that the staff was actively overlooking Miami. People here honestly think we're missing the playoffs? If you do, let's wager. If you don't, haven't you noticed the switch this team and especially Josh flip as soon as they start their new season? Again, wake me up in January... This thread is gonna be fun to continue for the "it's over!!!" crew on this message board.
  21. Yep. Pretty clear on that today
  22. Whatever... wake me up in January when we're in the playoffs And it's a brand new season. I just wish Bills players and coaches didn't have the same mentality...
