Who are we competing with for the #1 overall pick?
Steptide replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd say cowboys. Their offense is pretty bad also -
Wish the bills had the same urgency the lions just came out with
-
Looks like pass interference actually

Watching Darnold gives me hope for Allen. I don't think anything Darnold is doing, Allen can't do. Hoping McDermott starts Allen this week
-
Darnold playing well is probably a good thing for Allen. I think McDermott will be more willing to start Allen
-
McCowns gonna be in this game by halftime
-
What a start for Darnold
-
Interested to watch this game for sure. Does darnolds play have any effect on McDermott's decision this week?

Either McD can't evaluate QB talent or....
Steptide replied to CoachT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with the OP. There is NO WAY they put Allen in the game early in the 3rd quarter if their confidence in Peterman was that high and theyre afraid of ruining Allen. I am 99.999999999999999% sure Allen will start from here on out. In some type of strange way, this was the best case scenario for the bills coaches. -
I believe yesterday was a bit of a fluke
Steptide replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No where in my original post did I imply Peterman is better than Tyrod. The point was, that even last year when we won 9 games and got to the playoffs, we had a game just as ugly as yesterday. I'd even go as far to say last year's was worse because it was at home, and in the middle of the season when you shouldn't have these kind of games -
Yes, we could be the worst team in the NFL. Time will tell, but hear me out a little. Last year against the saints our starting qb went 9/18 for 56 yards. Our defense gave up 280 yards rushing. We lost the game 47-10, and had a late 4th quarter td by none other than nate Peterman. Ironically had Peterman not come in late in the 4th, the final score would've probably been 47-3, at home. Yes, yesterday was horrendous, and a terrible way to start the season, but I don't believe what we saw yesterday is gonna be what we see all season. It'll be really interesting to see how the bills respond next week at home

Maybe, but the play calls still didn't seem to play to his strengths. I dunno, just wasn't very creative Imo. Even for Allen, I thought the play calling was a bit weak
-
I feel bad for Peterman. He's worked hard and he's gonna get killed by fans and the media, but his time is over. It's all on Allen now
-
I actually thought daboll called a terrible game. Not much creativity on offense. I think we had one play action pass. Was there even a throw to a slot reciever today? Or a dump off to a running back? Badly called game
-
I can't see it. McDermott cannot be that unwise to start Peterman again. If he starts Peterman and he's terrible again, and has to put Allen in at halftime, McDermott will look like a huge fool. You just have play Allen and let him get his experience. He's supposed to be our future and it's obvious we don't have another viable option. I was all for Peterman being named starter, but even I didn't see this game being as bad as it was

McBean tanking rebuild in full effect
Steptide replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It'll Be interesting to see how beane spends the cap money next year. We'll have alot of it. If he doesn't seriously upgrade this team, then we may have an incompetent gm -
If we had kept Fitz after the 12 season (granted we were all tired of him at that point) but had we just stuck with him, I'm willing to bet we would've made the playoffs more than just last season.

A Few Thoughts About the Ravens Game, in no particular order
Steptide replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Today's game Imo was one of two things - 1) today's game was a complete fluke. This team is not nearly as bad as what we saw today. 2) this team is absolutely horrendous and won't win more than 2 games Call me a Homer, but I have a hard time believing this team is as bad as they looked today. Yes we have areas of need, but we DO have talent on this team, and I don't believe we're as bad as what we saw today. Time will tell -
well TYrod Taylor LEADS the Brown to a tie
Steptide replied to Socal-805's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod threw for 198 yards and completed 15 passes out of 39. No thanks. Taylor's era is long over in Buffalo -
