  1. I imagine if we as a society put in a sliver as much effort to trying to solve sexual assault cases as some people do in trying to find any possible way to discredit a rape victim, there probably wouldn't be 100s of thousands of unprocessed rape kits in this country and thousands->millions of sexual predators walking around our streets. It's a shame we have no control over that. A damn shame.
  2. That's bananas money for a guy that's on the downside of his career. If they feel that all they need is mediocre+ play to win another SB, so be it, but that team is nowhere near as talented on paper as they were under manning imo.
  3. Same. He's a football icon as far as I'm concerned and it really doesn't have much to do with the Bills.
  4. Benford shouldn't play that much. You have Elam, Jackson, and Johnson as your top 3 and I'd expect Neal to mix in if needed. Jackson is a competent #2 and I think Elam will be a beast right away. I'm not worried about DB. I'm glad they didn't sign a guy like Joe Haden that just takes snaps away from the guys that need them. I think we should fully expect to win the division at this point, so if young DBs have to take some lumps over the first few weeks against Cooper Kupp and Tyreek hill that's fine. If they rise tot he challenge, even better. If they struggle enough to the point where it's determined they will be a liability down the stretch, go and get Haden or somebody else at that point.
  5. Most teams aren't in great shape when they lose one of their top 3 players (Diggs). If we lose Davis, we should be ok though. Until this preseason, Crowder was a starting caliber player, and Shakir has flashed so far this year. McKenzie may not have played his best ball yet, either.
  6. That's probably true, I just always find it odd when a guy has tools to dominate in college and can't even make a roster in the pros unless they just don't have the work ethic. Unrelated, Brissett is a fringe starter in this league, and maybe one of the best backup options out there.
  7. Luke Tenuta marks the 7th cut in 5 Beane drafts to not make the team (If you count Teller). It's a late pick so not exactly a big deal, but it's interesting.
  8. I wouldn't mind if we took a look. Despite his career going in the shitter, he had worlds of talent in that arm in college. If we can resuscitate even a little bit of that he could make a nice backup or trade piece.
  9. All you can really do at this point is stand behind him and show your support with a LET'S GO BRANDON!
  10. Good player, but no loss for us.
  11. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-2022-roster-cuts-tracker-a-running-list-of-team-by-team-moves-and-preseason-cuts-for-all-32-clubs/
  12. I think most people like him, but he's a fringe NFL player and we're a hard team for a guy like that to play on. Even if the Bills knew for sure that he was a good player, where would he play? Not in the top 3 and probably not above Shakir. That makes him 5th WR at absolute best and he may even be behind Crowder making him 6th. There's just no room for a guy like him on a team like this. Hopefully he gets a shot elsewhere.
  13. Cameron Dicker is interesting in that he can placekick as well, theoretically giving us insurance at the K position. Can he do either well enough at the pro level? He's been cut twice in 12 days (Rams, Ravens), so maybe not https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/08/28/ravens-waive-cameron-dicker/
  14. Both Ekeler and Connor are top 5 backs alone. Spiller for the chargers is coming out of college with a lot of praise. In AZ, Williams was a big contributor last year for the Chiefs both on the ground and through the air. Ingram is also a highly touted rookie. Of the RB squads I listed, I think they're one of the stronger groups. Conner > Singletary, Williams > Moss, Ingram v Cook is unknown with Cook having the edge as a pass catcher. My original point wasn't that we needed to be better than these teams, just that if we were going to move moss, I'd prefer that we do so in an effort to upgrade top end talent instead of just more depth. I don't think any of that is happening though. I expect Singletary to not be re-signed, and Moss and Cook to split duties with a rookie or otherwise cheap player filling in 3rd string depth.
  15. Any team with a top end #1, and any with better platoons so that would be Indy, Tenn, Car, Minn, LAC, Dal, Cle, AZ, Bal. The 10th spot is where I could argue for the Bills. Both Pitt and Cinci have a great No. 1, but zero depth. Den is very comparable to us as of now.
  16. Settle down, chief. Like I said, I'd prefer we had more players with special skills. Singletary and Moss are both middling JAGs that don't do anything special. We have strong depth but it's a depth of mediocre talent pending Cook. There's at least 10 RB rooms I'd prefer - maybe more.
  17. I'm not much of a fan of our RB room. I think it's solid, but I'd prefer some more elite skills - hopefully Cook brings that. That said, there's no upside in trading Moss unless they would be replacing him with someone better - and I'm not sure who that player would be. It isn't Blackshear.
  18. It would probably be an undersized, over-achieving Division III linebacker that he converts to Tight End.
  19. I think that's technically correct yea. They could hold on to him a little while longer, but since no more football is being played, I suspect it's unlikely Mahomes is going down or anything like that.
  20. If he makes the opening 53 his full salary for the year would be guaranteed. If they cut him now they recoup $24M in cap. They currently have the least cap space in the NFL. He would be untradeable if they wait any longer.
  21. The Diggs one was outstanding. Micah Hyde comes off as the team Dad.
  22. This isn't the place for this discussion, but obviously crime is going to increase as more people exit pandemic-era isolation, return to work, etc. How do the numbers compare to 2018/2019? Of course there are other dynamics at play too.
  23. He can play, but he isn't the same player he was 5-10 years ago
