Wow, you must be fun at parties. How can someone be so miserable about a Defensive End that has some upside (we hopefully agree on that) on a 1 year $12M deal?
-
How about coaches and GMs being honorable and never cutting players for underperforming? Lets make every contract fully guaranteed, while we’re being honorable.
-
Have you seen a picture of Luke Keuchly coming out of college? You might consider the same line of thought with Cooper DeJean who was an absolute menace his rookie year.
-
::clutches pearls:: Oh heavens! A playing holding a mystery substance in the offseason?? Players beat women and hit people with their car and don't have their contract voided.

Kincaid played one season of high school football. He caught one pass in 2020, then he played two years of college ball before coming to the Bills. Expecting him to be "plug and play" at the position that typically requires the most ramp up time is ridiculous. On the Edmunds note, you say he didn't have an OBVIOUS replacement. How about Terrel Bernard, who was drafted by the Bills in the 3rd round of 2022 despite Edmunds being on the roster? He played behind Edmunds an entire year, then became a great starter immediately in 2023 the moment Edmunds left. Is that not an obvious replacement? I'm opting out on the rest of this thread. Enjoy.

It is so ridiculous that after one of the best rookie seasons at Tight End ever, people are completely out on Dalton Kincaid in year 2. Saying Edmund is a failed Day 1 pick is equally ridiculous. He signed a massive contract in the offseason and has experienced plenty of success in the NFL. He's a failure by Beane because we didn't sign him to that overpaid contract? No. Here are some noteworthy Day 2 picks the last 4 years: O'Cyrus Torrence, Dorian Williams, James Cook, Terrel Bernard, Spencer Brown. I don't know where this mentality started of criticizing Beane at every juncture, but he's a good GM. Be glad he's with the organization.

Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky
Rigotz replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
What did they say that indicates they think he’s a 1-Tech? To my knowledge, they said the opposite. They specifically mentioned Carter as the potential 1T backup to Jones. -
Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky

Not trying to be a jerk, but did you watch him in college and have you seen the lower half of his body? He's not a 1-tech. He's not good against the run and rarely occupies 2 blockers. I'm not saying he's bad, I'm just saying calling him a 1-tech because he's big is the same as calling Jordan Phillips a 1-tech because he's big. It's not true. -
Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky
Rigotz replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
The sooner everyone understands that Walker isn't a 1-tech, the better. He's not good against the run and doesn't take on 2 blockers very often. He doesn't even play over the center all the time. He's essentially a big 3-Tech. With this in mind, any talk of him "replacing" Daquan doesn't make any sense. -
Bills First Rnd pick in 2025 draft: Maxwell Hairston - CB - Kentucky
Rigotz replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I kinda disagree with this, which is why I think this is one of the many signals we’re moving to more Man coverage. Off Coverage only works if you’re a good tackler and can ideally play through a block. Those are the two things he’s worst at. -
I honestly can't think of a Buffalo Bill the past 10 years who I like less than this guy.

Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
Rigotz replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
This only works if your CB is a very good tackler. Tre White is a lot of good things, but not a good tackler. -
I think the best bang for your buck comes from 1-Tech DT with pass rushing skills. That would be Harmon or Grant and we potentially have a shot at one of them. The other "game wreckers" are probably Abdul Carter, Mason Graham, and Jalen Walker .... maybe Shemar Stewart. We don't have a legitimate chance at any of them unless we trade away too much. Some people are high on Mike Green (small bendy rusher), Mykel Williams (raw with bad production), and Walter Nolen (3-tech), but I don't like the fit. To answer the question is: Harmon and Grant because they fit a need and will make everyone around them better. No other true "game wreckers" in range at 30.

Miami Herald: Dolphins players have turned on McDaniel
Rigotz replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing better than Mike McDaniel's extension through 2028 was Tua's extension through 2028. Seemingly everyone knew both were a mistake ... except Stephen Ross, the bonehead owner of the Dolphins. -
Perhaps you haven't heard the news that Bass is all the way back.
