Well, now that is very interesting. Another board I frequent recently had some gossip about her husband and an alleged 20+ year affair. Makes me wonder what she has done that someone would be dredging that up now about him, and not while he was alive (and why I figured he was still breathing). Thanks for the info!

Yeah, couch cushion change for him. The way it is being run it is heading toward a vanity project rather than a real news organization. There are still good reporters on staff, but the slant is so biased. I wonder how much that bias has hurt the bottom line on the trickle down? By that I mean the NYT and WaPo sell stories to local papers. If people cancel their subscriptions due to the bias (we did, and it took me a year to cave in to Hubby's desire to do so!), at what point is the bottom line hurt so much that the slanting goes back to the editorial page? He's got a big divorce to pay for, but he'll still have the funds to keep on a (pretty) full staff if he so chooses. Interesting times we live in.

I am not certain if you are really asking, but just in case you are - it usually means you did something very successfully, and someone admires you for it. Basically, the landlord is screwed. In NYC people will be paid to leave rent control apartments so either the landlord can sell, or so they can raise the rent for the next tenant. There are a lot of stories too about landlords doing stuff to run off rent control tenants.

Hubby keeps saying this league is a marketing fail, and I cannot disagree. Do a 2-4-1 ticket sale, donate a bunch of tickets to some kids group for home games, etc. Do something, anything, to get bodies in the stands so it looks like the locals are somewhat interested. My comments on the Birmingham game: that 4th and 12 instead of an onside kick is interesting. I saw one converted (yesterday? last week? time gets distorted when you are old), and it is pretty exciting. It is certainly better than an onside kick in the NFL right now.

Is your sarcasm meter broken? You may want to get that fixed stat.
