  1. That is a good thought... the dying "with" is also happening in NYC for a death count numbers. Looking at the numbers released to date, my guess would be the number of cases are vastly understated (lack of testing, recovery without diagnosis, etc) and the deaths are overstated.
  2. This is the email my Key business email received today for the SBA loan/grants: The Small Business Administration ("SBA") has released its updated guidance and application late this evening. We will incorporate the finalized application and rules into our platform and begin taking applications Friday, April 3. We will notify you when our system is available and ready to accept your application. We recommend gathering the following documents and information: • Payroll records from the past twelve months including compensation for any individuals in excess of $100,000 or individuals whose principal residence is outside the United States. • Entity formation documents (e.g., articles/certificate of incorporation and bylaws; articles of organization and operating agreement; partnership agreement and filed partnership certificate; trustee certification; or trade name certificate (DBA)) We appreciate your patience and look forward to helping you during this challenging time.
  3. My favorite is the people who do not realize that is a parody account.
  4. If goods were available not made in China, I would purchase them. The Made in America store(s) have been very popular for years, so there is a market. Saying that, my SIL is in import-export. Their millions of sq ft of storage space are stuffed with goods from overseas, a lot from China. (With nothing open, it is not being distributed to stores.) And, that is just one company. The expectations are that non-medical goods will be business as usual when the Wuhan Virus subsides. Whether or not those expectations come to fruition, we shall see.
  5. Navarro: what this crisis has taught us that we are overly dependent on other countries for medicine, etc. Never again should we rely on the rest of the world for medicines and other essentials. They are looking at a Buy American order (after this crisis is over). Essential medicines, medical equipment, medical supplies. They will deregulate. They want advanced technology on US soil.
  6. So, there was an order signed to compel GM to produce ventilators in Kokomo, IN but Ford volunteered? (The guy talking now (Navarro) is talking fast...) He said these businesses are being asked to produce in "Trump time" (otherwise known as fast!) Navarro: Trump is signing another order tomorrow - people who are biding against each other for export. Customs and border protection (PO, FedEx, UPS) are going to put a stop to that. If you have inventory, you call FEMA you don't sell it on the black market.
  7. Trump on the new test (the 15 minute one) is very easy (that was the one he took this morning with the second negative result).
  8. President Trump just said that NYC has a help now component, this is to offer help, and ask for help. Help Now
  9. He wants the restaurants (smaller) to keep their employees on the payroll as these loans turn into grants. He said 50% of the American is small businesses (under 500 people). He = Mnuchin Independent contractors and sole proprietors are covered. This will not be available until next week as they have to go into (bank? I missed the word) with paperwork. Trump: New guidelines for nursing homes (no non-medical people allowed in), and recommended that the same people are looked over by the same staff.
  10. Go to: FDA.gov SBA.gov Banks will be making 5% on 90 days on this money. These reporters... Mnuchin isn't putting up with their stupid. (And he just smacked the Obama administration.)
  11. If I understood what Carranza said, this SBA loan can be forgiven for payroll. So, why not take it out, and have your payroll paid for through the bill? Mnuchin said the money is available tomorrow. 500 or fewer people employers contact your lender, you get the money the same day. Please bring your workers back if you let them go... Economic impact payments will be direct deposited within 2 weeks. There will be a web portal for you to add your direct deposit information if the government does not have it. Employee retention credit is up to $5K per person.
  12. Big chains poised to scoop up small business coronavirus aid </snip> The Paycheck Protection Program — part of the $2 trillion relief package signed into law last week — was billed as a way to help local businesses that often form the fabric of communities retain workers and pay bills. But an expansive definition of “small business” in the law means that it will be open to much more than just Main Street shops when lenders start processing applications Friday. Operators of name-brand hotel, restaurant and service chains and franchises with thousands of employees at locations scattered across the US are eligible. Lobbyists are pushing the Small Business Administration to interpret the law generously to help sectors devastated by mandatory business closures and stay-at-home orders, possibly making the aid available to international fast food and lodging giants and allowing individual owners to get around a $10 million cap on loans. </snip>
  13. Probably the most unlikeliest result of COVID-19
  14. If so, this will be an "interesting" presser today:
  15. I have been saying that for a while, yet have read nothing to indicate anything is being done to disinfect any mass transit system anywhere in the US. I hope it is simply a matter of the "msm" neglecting to report it, and not that it is not being done.
  16. I'd have responded to the @Deranged Rhino post you quoted, but I couldn't find it... I would argue that China's lack of forthcoming along with the WHO covering for them, makes this a bio-weapon. ?‍♂️
  17. We were self-quarantined. The CDC paperwork we were given said "Stay home for the next 14 days and monitor your health. Take your temperature with a thermometer two times a day and watch for symptoms." It had what symptoms to look for, and what measures to take if you felt sick.
  18. His timeline is not what I would have expected:
