  1. Do these "reporters" go out of their way to be #######s, or does it just come naturally?
  2. (I am still listening to the press conference) Apparently, dropping the hammer on GM brought them, and other companies, into line.
  3. April 30th. Good thing people are getting 100% of the their pay during that time. (Snark, and yet, not snark)
  4. That would be a hard pass...
  5. "Spending porn" I gotta admit, that's a new one to me. Gonna have to steal that.
  6. I'm not a conservative and I thought that bill was horrible.
  7. Sayyyyy do you know what Trump is legally allowed to do with a "lock down" vs what de Blasio was/is allowed to do with a "lock down"? Anyhooo we are all gonna get this. It is inevitable. It is just a matter of how much worse the "cure" will be than the disease.
  8. Eh, polls-schmolls... but the trending has to be concerning for him. ?
  9. Well, who wouldn't be thrilled to vote for a corrupt former Senator and Vice President who now is exhibiting signs of a cognitive disorder? Anyhoooo if this enthusiasm gap is real, and holds, the down ticket will be impacted. If people sit home because they do not want to crawl over broken glass to vote for Joey-B, the Democrats chances of holding the House dim, and their dreams of gaining the Senate die. Biden consolidates support, but trails badly in enthusiasm: Poll Strong enthusiasm for Biden among those who back him over Trump is just 24%. </snip> Indeed, strong enthusiasm for Biden among his supporters – at just 24% – is the lowest on record for a Democratic presidential candidate in 20 years of ABC/Post polls. More than twice as many of Trump’s supporters are highly enthusiastic about supporting him, 53%. </snip> Among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents who prefer Bernie Sanders for the nomination, 15 percent say they’d back Trump over Biden in the fall. </snip>
  10. Remember to order for home delivery if you can! Check if your favorite restaurant has delivery (they may have now if they didn't before). Grubhub has some free delivery deals, doordash has a $10 credit if you have a Chase Sapphire reserve card (possibly other credit cards?), ubereats has some $0 delivery specials, etc. National Restaurant Association says 11 percent of restaurants could close for good; Trump says it's possible </snip> In response to a question from the press, which cited a National Restaurant Association survey that found 3 percent of all restaurants had already closed for good, President Trump said he heard 3 percent “could be lost,” but acknowledged that “10 or 11 percent” could go under in total. </snip>
  11. Trump Admin Names Gun Makers, Retailers Essential Businesses Nationwide President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security released updated guidelines naming gun manufacturers and retailers as essential on Saturday, which means they are to stay open and operational nationwide during a Chinese coronavirus shutdown. * Workers supporting the manufacturing of safety equipment and uniforms for law enforcement, public safety personnel, and first responders. * Workers supporting the operation of firearm or ammunition product manufacturers, retailers, importers, distributors, and shooting ranges. </snip>
  12. Cuomo threatens lawsuit over Rhode Island crackdown on virus-fleeing New Yorkers New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is threatening to sue Rhode Island over its new coronavirus policy that calls for police to stop cars with New York license plates and has seen National Guard members go door-to-door to ask if anyone has arrived from the Empire State. Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo -- like Cuomo, a Democrat -- announced the drastic new policies last week to limit the spread of the coronavirus. New York is the epicenter of the outbreak in the U.S., confirming more than 52,000 cases of COVID-19 and recording more than 700 deaths. "I understand the goal ... but there’s a point of absurdity, and I think what Rhode Island did is at that point of absurdity," said Cuomo. “We have to keep the ideas and the policies we implement positive rather than reactionary and emotional.” </snip>
  13. This could simply be a nuisance complaint... Bloomberg campaign hit with FEC complaint for $18M transfer to DNC A Federal Elections Commission complaint has been filed against former New York City mayor and 2020 presidential hopeful Mike Bloomberg for an $18 million transfer from his defunct campaign to the Democratic National Committee. </snip>
  14. What is really sad, is she's been talked about as Biden's running mate.
  15. Cuomo is all over the place with one minute praising the feds, the next minute blaming them. ?‍♂️ At least he filled out the FEMA forms to ask for help, unlike the Michigan governor.
