Battelle awaiting FDA approval to deploy mask-sterilizing technology Columbus-based research giant Battelle is close to deploying machines that will sterilize masks and allow healthcare workers to reuse them as demand grows amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted said Friday. He said approval from the Food and Drug Administration, the necessary final step before the technology can be put to use, could come as soon as Friday evening. A Battelle spokeswoman declined to talk about the technology pending that approval. But Husted said his understanding is that the machines would be able to sterilize up to 160,000 masks a day. He expects two machines to be deployed in Ohio, with others headed to New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C. </snip>

You are not wrong. Not certain who is to blame here... the House for asking for the moon to make settling seem like a "win"? The Senate for not stripping the pork and getting together a better bill to begin with? Since it has to pass both the Senate and the House, compromises were always going to happen. Many people think "ok well, pigs got pork" while others are thinking pass a clean, usable bill that actually helps American small business as well as everyday citizens. And still others think "Well, at least it is not the House bill!" ---- which could have been the point of the House bill all along? ?‍♀️

The bill is horrible, and yet it was better than what Nancy was pushing. SMH Wow, do I have low expectations.
