I honestly do not know. It just seems so odd (surreal is an excellent word, actually) that we (the world) went from "no big deal" to "lock down everything" so quickly. Maybe lock down everything is the correct call? Maybe it is an overreaction? But, ¾ of the world agreeing to closing their borders when ¾ of the world could not agree to anything prior to this? It definitely has me wondering.

My opinions are not well informed? M'kay. I have not changed my opinion much on this virus. Again though, I have qualified my opinion before by saying that there may be more going on that TPTB have not allowed the general public to know, and that makes me hesitate in a firm opinion (IOW I am willing to learn, can you say the same?) With over 150 countries closing their borders, and the Chinese lying and lack of forthcoming, it does make me wonder what we are not being told? What is still unknown? IOW, without all the data (and some of the numbers are shifting and will continue to do so), it is difficult to make a final judgement.

That's some world class revisionist history, Bob. Maybe you would like to read the timelines posted in this thread about when Trump "got off his ass." And, I am not certain why you think it is a-ok for Cuomo to criticize Trump/the Trump administration for their help and support during this crisis, and President Trump should allow his administration to be disparaged. That is nuts. Trump fights. He is fighting the "msm," the Democrats, and people like you willing to spread a false narrative, constantly. Want to know what his supporters like best about Trump? He fights.

You forgot the part where Cuomo criticizes Trump first... remember, Trump counter-punches, he does not start. So, the better questions might be... Why can't Cuomo be thankful to the Feds for what they are providing to NYS? Why does Cuomo have to criticize Trump/the Trump administration? Why can't Cuomo be gracious? Why does Cuomo have to politicize this crisis? Why does Cuomo have to allow his personal feeling for Trump into this crisis? Why is Cuomo being so petty? ?

I do not think this is a blue or red disease. I'm tellin' ya, it is public transportation. Germ-mobiles. People are packed in like sardines hacking and sneezing on one another, the virus lives on metal, etc. When this is finished, the numbers for high density, high public transportation, cooler weather, age related, pre-existing conditions, etc. should yield very interesting results.

Watching the pressers, Trump has made mention of how some states were unprepared. He has mentioned that NYS had the opportunity to buy ventilators in 2015. He has qualified it several times with something like (paraphrased) I understand why not since we have never seen anything like this, but he has brought it up more than once. For the most part, Trump has mentioned that we need to come together and stop playing politics. He has mentioned the good of the CA (Gavin Newsom) and WA (Jay Inslee) governors. He even mentioned yesterday that Mayor de Blasio was appreciative of what the feds have done for NYC. One day he praises Cuomo, and then Cuomo says something *****, the next day he isn't praising Cuomo. Makes me wonder what type of personal relationship these two had before Trump was elected (or if it all comes down to Cuomo playing games with Trump's NYS taxes?)

I hope she recovers quickly and completely. My uncle had to have the Lyme treatment last year. He's over 65. He's fine now. (anecdotal, but the treatment works)

Different Tops this morning, and wow was it packed (before 9am). The lines were 4 deep. The store had posted old people hours (60+) for Tuesday and Thursday 6am-7:30am The limits were almost all gone except eggs (one, but the medium sized had no limits), and flour (one). We were going to shop at Aldi's afterward, but the parking lot was full, so we passed.

That is such a lay-up that I will be very disappointed in our resident TDS crowd if they don’t come up with the obvious insult to Trump followers. Very disappointed.
