I’m a Union Democrat also. I’m not a Progressive. Biden is the first President in my lifetime to even mention unions and working people.
This infrastructure/jobs training/whatever else program that’s next up will be make or break for him. So far, they haven’t been able to drag him into any social issues. I think he’s very aware of the mistakes Obama made. If he just sticks to jobs/economy I think he’ll be impossible to beat.
The whole political landscape changed. It’s funny because some of these same posters were here 10 years ago chasing the same ghosts in tan suits. That “smear” style of politics is coming to an end.
As far as the GOP, they just let Trump take control of the PACS which will control the messaging and money flow to future candidates. That’s no a way forward at all. That’s a death spiral!
Yeah, that’s the point. The House is as far it goes until Trump is dead and buried. No one can act surprised. The party was warned 25 years ago that it needed to change or it wouldn’t survive. They didn’t do that.
I mean, look at your news cycle. We’re back to mustard and tan suits just a couple months in.
Once Biden passes this infrastructure/jobs package it’s nighty-night times as far as the midterms. I’m starting to think that the party doesn’t care.
It’s nice to see the GOP fall into obscurity. As of right now, there won’t be any wave midterm elections. That NC Senate seat is in play now. Minimal gains for the GOP.
Clear sailing from here on out.
Yeah, I’m starting to lean this way also. I wonder if a quality DT would be there in the 2nd. I also think we should plan to draft Beas replacement.
RB, DT, WR, CB, WR
Ah. That is likely the problem. Beane won’t do a 3rd. We aren’t getting him for less than a 3rd. They love the guy too much. They’ll get pelted with batteries if they don’t get fair compensation.
So where do we think we are with this? Philly probably started at a 2nd rounder (yes, I know) and Beane was thinking a 5th. Philly has probably come down to a 3rd and Beane a 4th.
Is a 3rd rounder worth 8-12 TD’s next year? I’d say so. What 3rd rounder could we draft that would give us that kind of production? None.
Thanks for posting that.
To me, Mitch doesn’t look like a guy that can zip the ball into tight windows like they wanted. Sometimes he could, but it never really looked like it felt natural to him.
The Mitch can be fixed. Bears fans say he can’t process and do pre-snap reads. That may be true, but it always looked to me like he was playing in the wrong style offense. We finally get to see.
