The media already shifted back to the pandemic. That was even quicker than I thought. It’s already the 3rd or 4th leading story in just a day. Oh well. We’re well aware that the right has been looking for something to pounce on since they can’t seem to attack Biden successfully. This was never going to be it. He turned it into a strength with that speech. We’re onto infrastructure! Take your L and let’s move on.

There’s whispers that Putin factored into Biden’s decision to destabilize Russia. Apparently, Putin was already warned at their last meeting. How does it directly destabilize Russia? I don’t know enough about foreign policy to answer that.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. You’re drunk.

After a 20 year long war, I’m supposed to be concerned a a few casualties? Is this the new Benghazi? I’m supposed to all of a sudden be alarmed about women’s rights in Afghanistan when it’s ten times worse in Saudi Arabia? There’s deaths squads that walk down the street in Saudi Arabia and round up gay people and slaughter them. What is it exactly that I’m supposed to be outraged about?
-
Tim Scott is your answer?
-
So, who is it then? I missed a name in our comment.
-
I realize that’s hyperbole but you might end up being slightly right. The way he’s been performing I see no reason why he wouldn’t run again. It’s too early to tell. Who is going to beat him?
-
Doesn’t appear to be happening. I know that saddens you.
-
When the dust clears you’ll realize that you’re mistaken.

Maybe I was wrong by saying this wouldn’t be a defining point of Biden’s presidency. That dude stepped up to the mic and said….I own the blowback from this and I’m doing it anyway because it’s the right thing to do. That speech was for the record books. Biden just had his Reverend Wright moment and his numbers are going to shoot upward in the coming months. I didn’t think he had it in him but this administration has surprised me multiple times now.

Normally, I see why someone on the outside would think that, but it isn’t that at all. I don’t want anything from him. He lived his life, I decided that I didn’t really want to live that exact life, and I would hope that there aren’t grudges and bitterness. I think you’re too caught in money and that’s why I told Andy’s story in the first place. My hatred for Florida is strictly political. I think you’re having a hard time grasping how I can be this way…..because it clashes against everything you think you know. Take a step back. Slow down. You’ll thank me later.

Would you like to purchase one?
-
But he didn’t do that because he didn’t want to pay the political price before an election, then pushed it to the next president, and even went as far as setting land mines for that new president, for him and others including Pompeo. Voters can see all of this.
-
This is what I don’t get. The GOP was on record saying that they didn’t want to bring these people home 2 weeks ago, and now they’re pretending to be outraged right now. They aren’t fooling anyone.

No hated at all. I visit and lived in those units.

My brother’s money was spread out on 3 ocean front properties in Florida and the rest was spread out in mutual funds. He took a slight hit in 2008 but didn’t lose his ass. Basically, my dad told him that he had too much money and had to park it in properties.
-
Right, we don’t know what Andy gained and lost over the last 30 years. That’s an unknown. You could probably take a few good guesses if he was strictly in mutual funds. Andy wasn’t one to take risks, so I always assumed he had everything spread out and never took any huge hits. I don’t know that for sure. All I know is the dude is still riding his bike around town with no worries.

There was that one shooting from that Saudi kid at the military base. I can’t remember where that was. I believe he was recently tried and convicted.

Well, there was that one last Muslim attack in California where the feds wanted Apple to unlock the iPhone and refused. They then sent the phone to Israel and later claimed they were able to get into that phone. They never did. It was an IPhone 4. They basically ate ***** on that one. Since then, it’s all been white nationalist shootings in this country. Dozens of them including the terrorist attack on the “people’s house.”
-
Not nearly as many as right wing terrorist attacks in our own country. You’re right! People need to take a step back and put it altogether.
-
But if we get most of these people out, no one is going to remember a minor blip. When I left the house, it was a bunch of Afghans on their phones waiting for the next plane to come. I think you might be sensationalizing this to some degree.
-
I actually did. I think it would’ve helped him in his re-election. Lots of my alt/right friends and people in the middle said the same thing. He ran on that. He didn’t deliver. The dude was so scared about his poll numbers. Most people don’t realize how obsessed he was with polling.
-
I think you’re laying back and taking political shots but you agree it had to happen. It was never going to be pretty. I actually think it’s pretty ballsy move by Biden and when presidents do that, they’re often rewarded later.
-
It was pretty widely covered that it would only take a month or two. They moved right in because Trump was so deliberate with his actions. I’m not saying it was wrong to do that, but none is this is surprising to anyone. Trump should’ve done this in his first year in office and then ran on the fact that he pulled out. He was scared to do it because the guy gets terrified by polls.

The plan was a holy war. White Christian conservatives under attack. Now they’re pretending that they care about Afghan women’s rights to score very short term political points.
