  1. The schedule should be the least of the Bills concerns right now.
  2. Seems like a lot of personal vendettas coming out in this thread. JA inexperience showed and a he made a few very poor decisions , but the game was available to be won. His mistakes weren’t killers. He did cost them 3 points, but other aspects cost them far more. At times JA made the play, but the WR didn’t. At times the OC was astonishingly bad. At times the HC and DC were too conservative to win. All these things conspired, but Allen was about a C overall in this game. A in the first half and D in the second. Still should be reveling in a ( somewhat closer than necessary ) Bills playoff victory.
  3. Yep. Schitt rule more than call.
  4. That lets the defense and coaching off the hook completely. Alllen had his ups and downs in his first playoff game, but it seems that it got too hot for McD, Daboll and Co more than Josh.
  5. True, although that is expected with OBrien.
  6. Agreed. He waited until there was no room for error to bring the heat on Watson. Milano whiffed on the sack and that was the ballgame. HOU got heat on Allen when it counted. Almost always comes down to QB pressure in a tight ballgame.
  7. Outcoached by Bill OBrien is the most concerning element of this loss imo
  8. Hmmm. Seems like another missed call to go with the two missed facemasks in this game. However, the Bills can only blame themselves for giving up a 3rd and 18. Should have been stopped well short of the line to gain.
  9. Brian Daboll McD/ Frazier Duke Williams Allen Defensive backfield ( 3rd and 18) Milano
  10. Nothing makes this game any better. They had victory in hand, yet failed to secure it in the most miserable fashion. The OTs are not good enough. Coaches should have gave help on Watt.. The need for a #1 WR is obvious. The defensive coaching was conservative to a fault in the OT. A great offseason is needed, as not getting this win is a total failure and embarrassment.
  11. Maybe. Jury is still out. His inexperience showed through in this game in a BIG way. However, he probably did enough to achieve victory if a few key plays are executed properly by others. Duke HAS to make that catch for the TD. That’s why he was active today, and the pass could not have been better. McD and Frazier waited too long to bring pressure on Watson, who wasn’t reading the coverage well all game. Milano and whoever whiffed, and that was your ballgame. When you wait until the margin of error is zero....As good as Josh handled the first half, the second half was poor. Coaches did not do him any favors leaving Watt 1 on 1 far too often. A win and another game would have been huge for Allen’s development. It was achievable, but we can’t yet say for certain if Allen can lead the Bills to the promised land. This game was essentially a tease, and will take its place in a long list of Bills debacles that I really thought were behind the franchise now.
  12. Did Beane pass on the top 3 young QBs in the AFC ? Seems to be some disparity between your opinion and the facts here.
  13. 49ers 35 Chiefs 31
  14. It may jibe with what we’ve seen. Allen doesn’t speak jive
  15. Yes, significant public money would be required in the building of a new stadium for the Bills. Yes, the “ free” but outdated digs in which the team currently plays helps the bottom line. For now. It’s a problem, but one that I believe will get resolved and result in a new stadium sometime in the next ten years.
  16. Can’t compare the two games or teams. They were facing Bortles, a QB that couldn’t pass. On offense, the Bills best WR was a slow fat guy who couldn’t catch. It was the most winnable road playoff game ever, but the Bills had no offense to take advantage of it. 2019 Bills Vs Texans is a completely different matchup.
  17. I have a source that is close to Fitz personally. Fitz is a huge fan of Gailey, but says he had absolutely nothing to do with Chan being hired by MIA fwiw.
  18. They’re experts in MS DOS and Prodigy. They really have a grasp on this interwebs google machine.
  19. Texans 26 Bills 17
  20. Texans Titans Eagles Saints
  21. Daboll looks like he could be Kitchens’ cousin. He won’t get the Browns job. I wouldn’t hate it if he did, though. The Bills could just bump up Ken Dorsey to OC. They can keep the offense and build on it rather than starting over. Dorsey seems to connect with Josh Allen as well. I’m not sure Daboll and Allen have the same kind of simpatico football relationship.
  22. Some of it is concepts, but most of it is not being able to breathe on QBs ( some more than others) without worrying about the flag being thrown. QBs made a lot more throws under duress before changes like the Brady rule, and legal grounding of the ball. Throws under pressure = more INTs. QBs now enjoy clean pockets, take far fewer hits after they’ve released the ball ( players used to get a one step cushion) and can play until they’re almost able to apply for an AARP card.
  23. If Fuller is really a full-go ( I’m not convinced ) , then the Bills chances for victory go down quite a bit. Texans passing game is a different animal when Hopkins, Fuller and Stills are all on the field. Relentless pass rush becomes paramount.
