  1. I do not think there was any way the trade was made unless Josh agreed.
  2. The word you're looking for is hubris.
  3. For those continuing to drone on about the terrible WR corps, should they turn out to play well could you let me know now what position group you'll decide to pick on next? I'd like to start preparing in advance.
  4. 1974 season opener. Monday night football, Bills vs. Raiders. Still the most exciting game I've even seen.
  5. Steve Young is a HOFer. Very talented guy, but anyone would be helped by having Rice to throw to and Walsh to design plays.
  6. Bottom line for the defense is when they absolutely have had to make a stop in playoff games to win, they have not. And that has to change or McD likely has to move on. As for the offense, you cannot expect perfection, but they have come up with plays when needed far more than the defense. You need both to win a Lombardi.
  7. The fliers were guys like Claypool and Hamler and MVS.
  8. Imagine anyone with a functioning arm with Rice and Walsh
  9. It would be nice to bring in an Aiyuk or Adam’s but it’s hard to see how it would work with the cap.
  10. The key is that opinions are just that: opinions. Not facts. We are all guilty at times of substituting one for the other, some more times than others. This topic also brings up what I see as a real problem with society at large now days: a lack of recognition of expertise. With the advent of social media everyone thinks they're an expert on any given topic you name, while those who truly are experts in their field are told they don't know anything. I have run IVF labs for decades and some woman insisted on arguing with me on social media that she knows more about reproductive biology than me. Her claim of expertise was apparently that she was a hairdresser. So the GMs in the league? All have expertise far greater than I have or will ever have so I take what they say seriously. Talking heads who get paid just to throw an opinion out that may or may not be educated? Not so much.
  11. That's a good one! Had forgot all about Charlie! Could throw Butch Byrd in there to for his punt returns.
  12. We’ve ignored special teams: Non-kickers: Tasker, McGee, Pike, Neal Kickers: Christie, Gogolak, Lindell, Mike-Meyer Punters: Moorman, Macguire, Mohr, Kidd
  13. Neither of us are draft experts or we’d do it for a living. I just really wonder why you and others are so damned determined to see the Bills fail.
  14. You think you’re smarter than Beane. That is hilarious.
  15. Do I have proof this is how GMs work a draft? That this is what GMs get paid to do? One does not have to prove something so blindingly simple.
  16. What I am saying is he has conversations which led him to believe he was going to get his guy. Which has only gone on since drafts were invented. But I forget, you are smarter than the professionals.
  17. If you are pretty sure he’ll be there you do. I love how many folks here think they know more about what’s going on with other teams than an actual GM.
  18. You don’t think he knows way more than you about what’s going on in war rooms around the league during the draft? Get over yourself.
  19. Or maybe, just maybe, he knows the league way better than you and knew he could trade back, get an extra pick, and still get the guy he was targeting
  20. Their first picks in the draft is more accurate
  21. If you ever root for the Bills to lose to me you give up being a fan. As for surrounding with weapons, the last 3 drafts: Cook Kincaid Coleman
  22. Brady Brian Cox Mark Gastineau Michael Irvin
