So the rookie is supposed to automatically be better than most guys in the league? Sure. Check out Darnold yesterday, and no one is saying he should not be playing or that he isn't their guy. Allen was improving as he went along. Sort of what young players do. And actually he probably wasn't the worst, because your boy Winston would be included in that list.

Josh Allen is all that matters

I think Daboll will open it up more when Allen returns. As much as he can given the talent he has at the skill positions. They know you have to have a QB to win in the league. Beane said that going into the draft. But as one who has watched Bills football since 1960, and I'm sure you have for quite a while as well, it is true that in November/December it helps to have a guy that can hum the ball at QB. Look at our two most successful guys in history: Kemp and Kelly. Both could hum it when the winds blew. -
WHO DESERVES THE BLAME?? THE PEGULAS!

Then make it more clearly. Here's your post: Whenever Terry speaks I find myself wondering how that idiot made so much money. I mean, fracking, but still....that man is an idiot. If you disagree with me, may I present the Sabers and Bills.... What exact point are your trying to make? You do realize that Jerry Jones is the only owner in the league that even sniffed the level of professional ball, right? -
Sounds like we can have a reasonable dialog here, but let's drop the homer stuff. we all should be homers, we all want them to succeed. There is evidence to suggest Beane can get this turned around. His draft last year has given us our potential leaders on both O and D, a solid DT in Phillips, a solid slot CB in Johnson, and hopefully a good G in Teller. He clearly has to focus on the offensive side of the ball this coming offseason. Let's see what he does there. The QB thing? They should have brought a vet in when McCarron got traded, they didn't, Beane admits he should have. I'm not sure the equation may have changed much, but learn from your mistake.

One can make that argument I think. They certainly have to address the offense in a big way this off season. If they don't they'll deserve whatever criticism comes at them. -

Call em the way I see em. No one lied. It's stupid to say otherwise. I think I'm going to send Belichick a note and ask him how to make a fortune in the oil and gas industry. I mean, the man is a football genius so he must know about that...... -

The yelling of fans since the day Kelly retired: We will never go anywhere until this franchise steps up and goes to get their franchise guy!!!! The yelling of fans since the day Josh Allen was drafted (pick one of 2): Oh, no , not THAT guy!!!!!!! or We should never have drafted a QB until we had the pieces to put around him!!!!!!!! -

Oh, and now the childish kool aid crap. You're on a roll today. Let's blame Beane and McD for not starting Johnny Greene opening day 1960 -
I said nothing of the sort. You are confusing me with someone else. Nowhere did I say they are doing this to acquire a top 5 pick. So we can add reading incomprehension to your list of issues. Let me type this slowly so you can understand: the current performance of the team is on the head coach and GM. I'll repeat so maybe for once you will actually comprehend it: the current performance of the team is on the head coach and the GM. The current performance. Which has exactly nothing to do with the selection of Donte Whitner or Mike Williamsor Marcel Dareus. None, Nothing, Zip. Zilch. Zero. I think they made a mistake trading Lamonica to the Raiders. Your crying, and it is crying, about what happened 10-20 years ago as if it somehow has any bearing on today makes as much sense as me blaming Beane for trading Lamonica.

No, it's just the only reaction to a guy that posts stuff about selecting Mike Williams, as if it has a damn thing to do with this regime and the problems with this year. When you do that, all you're doing is crying like a three year old. That's your problem, not mine. The current regime miscalculated on some things this year, and now are going to have to use this off season to put some major pieces around their young QB. I have said that repeatedly now. You? for some ridiculous reason you bring up Mike Williams.

I think the difference between McDermott and Ryan is Rex came in and boasted that he was the answer and that they'd immediately become great. McDermott I think came in and told him it would be a process. -
Bill's Offensive Line is the problem. Amazing stat.

They hold themselves accountable. As they should. And their owner holds them accountable. As they should. Resources have to be put into the O line this offseason. Clearly. -

This thread is clearly sarcasm. Those other threads? There are people who honestly believe that Pegula is going to rise up and fire either Beane or McD right as if that will really happen. -

Yes, and Beane drafted every one of them. Get the following through your head, you and the others crying this morning, once and for all: 1. No one is happy with things the way they are. No one. No one on this board, and no one at OBD. 2. Blaming the current coach and front office for things that happened 10-20 years ago is pointless and stupid. 3. Everyone agrees that Beane and McDermott have to figure this out. Part of that is using the cap space they - yes - created (to bet rid of what they considered bloated contracts) and the draft picks they accumulated to do a serious upgrade to the talent, especially on offense. And that their jobs depend on it.

Other than blaming Russ Brandon you've pretty much nailed it. I blame John Rauch myself. -
I think Allen was starting to come on when he got hurt. He was getting the ball out quicker, more accurate. I'll give you this: assuming they add talent to the offensive side of the ball next season (talent meaning at least two starting O linemen, a starting WR, and maybe a TE), if they still run an offense focused just on short passes and still make less of an impact through the air, I'll be right with you.
-
Guess. Thankfully you realize maybe that all your pontificating is guesswork. Maybe we should pick up your boy Winston. Duh. They have to compete in the free agent market. Water is also wet. Target guys you really think will make a difference and go get them. I suspect they have guys they're looking at like Hyde and Poyer, somewhat under the radar but solid contributors.
-
Yes, you would have traded an entire draft for a guy that is horrible. Own it. And then quit lecturing folks around here about what passes for quality decision making in the NFL. Because you don't have any better idea than the next guy. They drafted the guy they want to lead the franchise this year, they now need to build around him. It is amazing around here how many people yelled about how the y will never be a winner until they get their QB, then when they get who they hope is their QB all of a sudden everything flips and it's that they haven't put pieces around the QB, and that's it's not the QB that's the most important thing. They know they have a ton to do on the offense. Their jobs will depend on that. As it should be. And before you start with your crap about Allen, I have one word for you: Winston.
-
Did I say it was not his fault? No. They did try to replace Wood with Groy and then Bodine. They tried to bring other guys like Brown in at WR but he signed elsewhere. And Daboll's offense will be fine once he gets guys that can play. Yes it's on them. They have to fix the offense this offseason. It's on them to do that. Meanwhile, you pontificate as if you are a genius at NFL football, and as I say all the time you are the guy back on the BBMB who said he'd trade his entire draft to get - wait for it - Jameis Winston!!! You have no credibility, so quit trying to pass yourself off as some guru. Your opinion is no more valid that anyone else around here.
