  1. The QB is always the de facto leader of a team, but some do not take to the role very well. Fergy was that type of guy in Bills history, never seemed comfortable in that role. Allen not only is the facto leader, but wants that role. And from what I've seen so far he'll be good in that role. Like all the second year QBs he has work to do and improvements to make. But he seems to have the work ethic, leadership skills and respect of teammates that are essential if he is to succeed.
  2. I think they may stand pat for a while. See what comes to them in the draft.
  3. Your opinion. Doesn't make it fact. Beane is in a position to do whatever he wants. Someone will want to move up for a QB most likely.
  4. My recollection was that Darby got traded because he couldn't keep his mouth shut in the locker room, and the new regime didn't want that kind of crap. He's a good CB but coming off injury iso teams are cautious.
  5. Beane is in the cat bird's seat right now. He can go whatever way he chooses.
  6. One could say OJ; picking him was the impetus to the new stadium and kept the team in Buffalo. And of course Kelly. I'll throw Mike Stratton out there. His hit in Keith Lincoln paved the way for their first AFL championship which in turn solidified the fan base.
  7. Why say they could have only won 2-3 games when they won 6? What purpose does that serve? We'll see if Beane's moves work. But he gets Buffalo.
  8. Having lived through the 70's I cannot sympathize
  9. So what if it does? I like Rosen, wanted him over Allen at the time of the draft. If Miami gets him then we play him twice a year and beat him. As much as I think he'll be a good QB it's not like he's the god of QB play.
  10. Anyone still think we should have brought Coughlin in as our football tzar?
  11. I mean McKittrick and write McKensie every time. Brain cramp
  12. Whoever is top of the board. Most likely defensive lineman.
  13. Thanks. I mess that up every time.
  14. McKensie goes bye bye.
  15. Keeps adding pieces. About half the guys he's added I either had never heard of or didn't know well, but when you read the descriptions all seem like solid upgrades. The current regime seems to want to get FAs that are a bit under the radar. I think back to Hyde and Poyer. I knew a bit about Hyde and had never heard of Poyer, but look how they turned out. Hopefully this group is similar Now they can use the draft to get true BPAs. Beane has said you build primarily in the draft and use FA to fill in. And he's doing just that. Imagine that - a GM who does what he says he'll do.
  16. To come back from leukemia/Hodgkin's to play again? Much respect for him.
  17. You can claim the sky is green forever. But repeating it all the time doesn't make it right.
  18. Maybe I missed it, but do convincing wins now mean more in the standings?
  19. Jets will be better, Bills will be better. And Bell's ego caused him to potentially lose$$.
  20. While I applaud the Brows for making the move, I would ask whether it will be OBJ or Landry that starts complying first about not being the focus of the offense.
  21. About time Cleveland has some good things happen
  22. Beane is showing that the time to hesitate is through - no need to wallow in the mire.
