  1. Yeah but he made the block for the winning TD. Allen was a B-/C+. Lot of guts that last drive but if he played smarter earlier the last drive would have been moot.
  2. No one should be trying to diagnose here
  3. I’m glad we have Allen, he is showing he has it in clutch situations. But he has to get rid of the dumb decisions where he relies too much on arm strength. The throw back over the middle to Sweeney- even though completed that kind of pass gets picked off more than completed. Should have had another one picked off down the right side with an ill advised throw. And of course the one pick is the kind of thing you just cannot do. He’s doing well and these comebacks are great to see in a young QB. But as he matures he’ll find that he can put the game away long before needing a comeback.
  4. You. Can’t. Do. Stupid. Stuff.
  5. Dumb playcall but would help if Roberts and Jones blocked somebody
  6. Love Allen but you cannot make that throw and the throw back over the middle from earlier.
  7. People claiming he is no more accurate this year have no understanding of the term accuracy.
  8. Just like last week. Matriculate the ball down the field boys.
  9. I’m surprised it’s that low for each game
  10. Whatever. They pick on the one overthrow to Brown to bring up the tired inaccuracy stuff and ignore the rest of his play. I’m sure they do the same to overrate and underrate other guys.
  11. Yep. He put it out there to, again, critique guys like you that harp on the percentage as well as anything else that could potentially justify negativity. You don’t like having your own words used against you.
  12. The point is you can’t cherry pick stats and look credible. Josh Allen is improving, quite a bit actually. But being familiar with his fan club here you should know that any negative stats associated with the kid (the horrid comp%, the ttr, and all the missed reads, etc from the first season) are ignored or explained away. Your words, not mine. Note you mention his “horrid comp%”.
  13. Yes. He started it to critique those like you who made it a big deal the entire off season.
  14. Good for them. Now let’s be sure no one else thinks of signing him.
  15. The O line. Bringing in so many FAs when so many other teams are struggling up front was an excellent move by Beane.
  16. I recall the Winston/Mariotta draft. Was back in the BBMB days. Folks there talked about them each being can’t miss; one guy in particular would have traded an entire draft for Winston. And look what we have now.
  17. We all need to stop parsing every single pass and every single catch as if they provide definitive proof of something. Allen put that throw away from the defender where only Jones could get it. Jones made a great diving effort to get it and just missed. Neither did anything wrong.
  18. Very funny but I can understand. I can remember back in the late 60’s-early 70’s going into a season knowing we had no chance.
  19. I doubt it. Doesn’t fit what we’re doing. And he’s not that good.
  20. The Electric Company fat exceeds the current group at this point. Let’s see the present group play together more and gel a bit. The Company was phenomenal.
  21. A chance? Sure. But you have to strongly favor the Pats.
  22. They all get an incomplete grade from me in terms of just how good they'll be. I think Allen is progressing as is Jackson. They have the benefit of more table coaching regimes around them, and they each have decent O lines in front of them with some decent receivers. Mayfield and Darnold should be OK. Mayfield will suffer from having a completely inexperienced HC and a very suspect O line, plus a man child at WR who despite being very talented would rather draw attention to himself wearing $100,000 watches to play football. Darnold's O line is suspect, he just lost a key WR, and his HC is a basket case. And you just have to feel sorry for Rosen. I think Allen, Jackson, Darnold, and Mayfield will have long careers, maybe not elite but long. I think Rosen may say the hell with football after this season.
