  1. Completely understand. The thread is weird. It’s really mellow and informative in certain stages, but quickly turns into a tire fire.
  2. although that's not what was going on here at all. did you actually read the thread? no one is attacked for being negative or doubtful. people get called out where they're being deceptive and twisting every point they can to be negative. when certain posters are called out on their drama, they immediately turn to the martyr defense. it's pathetic.
  3. if this is a sports thing i get it, but the city itself is awesome.
  4. i'd be mortified if my dog when after another dog or person. our dog is all show. talks a big game and does nothing. he's at the age where we can let him out into our yard, and he just hangs out. that being said, if he ever does go crazy, leaves the yard and hurts another dog/person...i'm going to be the one to blame, and should be. our dog does love other dogs and cats, but if there's deer, rabbit or fox around, he's gone.
  5. they can get a bit strange. i assume it's from all of the inbreeding. our dog went the other route. he was always great on walks, and once we started having kids, he gets aggressive acting. he never bites or nips, but he will bark at people coming towards us, almost in a menacing way. once you are up to him, he wags his tail and wants to be pet.
  6. i think that's a massive part of it too. i'd be willing to be 75% (if not more) of the people who own pits are not fit to do so. mix that in with a dog that has the ability to do damage, and there ya go. mostly owner, still part breed.
  7. i'm actually blown away that labs are on the list. if i raise my voice, my dog gets nervous and runs for my office.
  8. i think i'd be more comfortable putting my face near a wood chipper than a pit bull.
  9. Just wanted to see how your back is feeling.
  10. As bill burr says, a pit bull is a gun you can pet. I don’t mean to come across harsh towards the breed, because there really are some wonderful pits out there. As has been mentioned many times in this thread, it’s all about the owners. I just don’t trust many to be good enough owners when owning that type of dog.
  11. i'd use it to pay a tiny fraction of the debt i'm getting myself into. sink or swim *****.
  12. correct! it has been very dialed back in concerns to antibiotics. at one point we were doing it for all heart murmurs, then just murmurs that show regurgitation, now none at all. stents are no longer, and i will do it for someone that's had sbe in the past, but that's rare. then there's prosthetics. i personally leave it up to the surgeon. mostly as a courtesy, but a lot of cover your ass situation. even recently we had a patient with a recent knee replacement, and she stated they never said anything to her about the premed. we called the ortho office, and the nurse just chuckled and said of course she should. i know what a nightmare an infected joint can bring, so we'd rather just give one large dose and call it a day. it seems anytime someone get an infected joint or sbe, the first thing a hospital will do is ask the patient if they been to the dentist. if the answer is yes, the second is did you premed. it's still part of the narrative, so we still follow through with it. time will change that more than likely.
  13. i've never had it done, but i've had a number of patients who have. almost all are extremely happy that they had the procedure. i've always heard the first two weeks post op are very uncomfortable, and that physical therapy can be a challenge, (but it needs to be taken seriously). after that, mostly smooth sailing. the only thing i can advise on is to make sure to take antibiotic premed before dental appointments. depending on the surgeon, they'll have you do it for 2 years, 7 years or forever. we even have one orthopedic surgeon as a patient that refuses to take it, saying it does nothing. that being said, i would absolutely take it.
  14. i honestly don't have a problem with who he was as a teammate or his comments. my problem was that he just wasn't productive considering his talent level. he's on this third team, two of which have had top flight qbs, and he still hasn't produced to this potential. could this year be his big numbers year? hopefully for him, but there just can't be any more excuses. posters on here who refuse to hear or make excuses for anyone on the bills, still defend sammy for some reason. the chiefs are paying 16 mill a year for a guy that can't out produce zay jones. it's gross.
  15. my pasty white horse guess would be tom sweeney.
  16. it's funny because it's not me. i still have my black panther pendant.
  17. i still don't think the sammy trade was bad. he's incredibly talented, yet still has yet to show that he can put up any real sort of production. yet, people keep making excuses for him. the problem wasn't trading him, the problem was not doing anything sufficient enough to try and fill that hole.
  18. as long as it's at him. uh...no. steve was pathetic and weak. ted was straight up eye candy.
  19. if that happens, i'll double and triple up on those things, and walk around harassing women.
  20. of course he is. ted mcginley doesn't let himself go.
