  1. there's a lot of tom sweeney chatter going on around here.
  2. they did, but they insisted that we go to one specific school. i think they felt it was that, or bail money.
  3. gross. whoa! we have some of the best public schools in the country bro! i went to private schools though where we actually used class time to learn stuff.
  4. i figured it was impossible to keep the attention span of kids long. it makes sense to have down time each period, but it still strikes me as kind of a waste. learn mother *****. i figured it was.
  5. you had 2 hours per class in high school? that sounds like a terrible idea.
  6. lol! i've been there once, and even though the bar was slow, there definitely some ladies of the night hanging out. apparently that january to april/may time it's far more active. i'm not going to lie...i would love to see that scene. i have to imagine these girls are very, very expensive.
  7. the guy has a condo in the breakers hotel which is absolutely insane. on top of that, the bar in the breakers is crawling with escorts during their busy season from what i'm told.
  8. my dad went to AQ in the late 50s. He would tell me of the thanksgiving games against boys town. they had quite the program.
  9. i think i'd be annoyed either way. not that this game is a gimmie, but it's winnable. if this team finally wants to take the next step forward, it's games like these they're going to have to take. it won't be the end to the season, but jesus...the bills need to win these games.
  10. there's been a ton of construction in that area and what they've brought to that area is impressive. you don't really need to leave the suburb for anything.
  11. I grew up in webster which is the boarding suburb that shared quite a bit. very nice area. did you grow up around there?
  12. why end it at his hands? i plan on going right to the pillows.
  13. i think i'm going to call the realtor and act like an interested buyer so i an see the home. while there, i'll rub my balls on any surface i can reach. i don't know what this will accomplish, but it seems like the right thing to do.
  14. this is a perfect summation of the start of 2012. completely agree.
  15. if he went to aquinas, no he can not. i'm being over the top because i went to the "rival" school. it has to do with a strange east side/west side thing that rochester has going on. some of us know aquinas as the dewey ave dumpster.
  16. love that's he local. gross that the went to aquinas.
  17. that 2012 opener was the last time i let the bills "upset" me. i was so excited for that year, as i thought it would be the one where we finally snuck back into the playoffs. the game was a complete disaster. it was like the bills hadn't practiced all summer. they showed up only to roll over. i was pissed, and that was my "f it" moment with this team. after that, i decided not to let any bills loss bother me. this opener has that same feel to me. not that the bills will roll over, but in the sense that there's a certain importance to it with how the season will unfold. would a loss ruin the season? of course not, but a loss may be the closest thing i've had to the bills bother me in a long time.
  18. yeah...you definitely need to look beyond how fans feel about using taxes for a new stadium to understand how they feel about "government paid insurance". you need to look far, far beyond that. also, the government doesn't pay your insurance. you do. with very, very expensive taxes.
  19. i think it has to do with how people feel about private insurance. many, including me think it's superior, but the problem is the expense. not everyone has access to it. even payment for good insurance can vary. for example, we have incredibly good insurance. we pay $30 every pay period, (no more than $50) because we get it through my wife's work. if my wife didn't work for the local school system, my out of pocket expense for the month would be $1500...for the exact same insurance. the quality of care is always under question with government based insurance. my brother in law is from lloydminster. his mother was sick with breast cancer, and the stories we heard about care lacked something to be desired. 2 and a half hour trips to the provider, months to get appointments, etc. in all fairness, that may be a lloyddminster problem. not all people in the US are against the government regulated, (if that's the right term) insurance. you have a tendency of taking the few things you experience, and extrapolating them to a large population.
  20. so far...you think only people in wny drink light beer. you think because fans are excited about football, they don't like the summer. now you show your ignorance on health care and life in general. you're a low level favorite of mine.
  21. exactly. this prediction doesn't do a whole lot for me one way or the other.
