  1. From everything I've read and heard, it was McDermott who wanted Hyde. Hyde even said himself that a big reason he signed here is because McDermott came after him hard as soon as free agency opened. McDermott actually started his NFL career in scouting. He's known to have a pretty good eye for talent, especially in the secondary. Here's just one article crediting McDermott for scouting and signing Hyde. I've seen numerous more... http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/12/how_did_buffalo_bills_land_micah_hyde_in_free_agency_ask_the_green_bay_packers.html As for a Poyer, it was actually Bob Babich who was the biggest factor in getting him. Babich worked with him for 3 years in Cleveland and highly recommended him to McDermott and Frazier. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Familiarity-with-Poyer-landed-Bills-a-free-agent-steal/93caa964-472d-49b0-8f59-76362617c3da Not sure if I'd call him a long shot coaching candidate either. He's been on the NFL advisory committee's short list of coaching candidates for a few years now, and I guess Philly actually was going to hire him in 2015. They really wanted an Andy Reid protege and McDermott was at the top of their list, but Carolina made that run to the Super Bowl and I guess Philly didn't want to wait any longer so they went with Doug Pederson (another Reid protege), or so I read anyway...
  2. That game tying goal by the NYI was 100% on Bogosian in my opinion. He made that terrible no look backhand pass directly directly to a NYI player (not sure who it was) who set up Bailey for the tying goal.
  3. Personally, I prefer my clothes to be looser. I don't like those skin tight jeans the kids wear these days. Im not sure what that has to do with Rosen, but hey, whatever... lol
  4. Disappointed in the crowds. Really hope they improve. Mittelstadt is a total stud though!
  5. Good for Pegula. Glad to hear him speak up. The TD reversal was BS. Actually, the Patriots got every single questionable call that game, and it’s not like they need the help! For example – watch that replay where Brandon Cooks literally bear hugs Micah Hyde and somehow Hyde gets called for pass interference. At the end of the 3rd quarter, there hadn’t been a single solitary flag thrown against the Patriots… That overturned touchdown didn’t end up being the difference in the game, but it absolutely changed the momentum of the game. The Bills had all the momentum at that point and should have gone into the half with a lead. But instead they went into halftime feeling like they were not only playing the Patriots, but the referees as well (and many said as much). That isn’t right. The Pats most likely win that game anyway. They took over the game as it went on. They are by far the better team. But the Bills still shouldn’t have to battle the refs and the Patriots, too. They were fighting for their playoff life and to break a 17yr playoff drought and it's like the NFL did what they could to make sure the drought continues... It’s not fair when the refs give every single break to a team who doesn’t need any breaks to begin with (the Patriots). The Bills aren’t good enough yet to overcome the Patriots and the referees and the replay review process being turned against them. Just call the game fairly, that’s all I ask. Oh, and fix this stupid catch rule. Benjamin caught the damn ball, that's all that should matter.
  6. Yeah, the way he's playing they're going to have to give him the exclusive tag. But the stuff they're saying isn't really helping their negotiating position either. I've heard Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch both absolutely gush about him to the press. Jimmy G's agent must just be drooling right now between the way he's playing and the crazy hype talk from his teammates, coaches, GM etc. I doubt San Fran is all that worried though. They're projected to have just shy of $120M in cap space next year, so...
  7. I am definitely jealous of the 49ers. They look to have a legit franchise QB, and possibly a top end one at that. But damn am I happy that the Patriots traded him! I don't know if I could take being tortured by a Tom Brady clone for another 15 years...
  8. I hate this place after a loss... It's strange that many of these same posters are nowhere to be found after a win though.
  9. None that I'm aware of.
  10. Oh no. Please be ok Hyde.
  11. Terrible sack by Tyrod. Then we are 2nd and 25, so what does Dennison call? Of course, a handoff to Tolbert! (Bangs head against wall)
  12. Patriots are getting every single questionable call
  13. ****. That's some BS there
  14. Seems too close to overturn to me, especially since they called it a TD on the field.
  15. **** I don't think it's gonna count edit - I don't know. Maybe
  16. Ah Clay you're killing me dude
  17. Didn't he go out of bounds? Edit - guess not...
  18. Romo with some love for McDermott. Calls us a very well coached team. I agree Tony! lol
  19. Come on defense! Stop them
  20. What a horrible flag. If anything that should have been on the Pats.
  21. Ahhhh! Why the !@#$ does Tyrod always go for a damn home run on 3rd and short?!!
