Teams have officially lost their mind this free agency.

I like this signing a whole lot more after seeing the contract details. Not much risk there, and there’s plenty of potential upside. Good job Beane! (and Overdorf...?)

Lol. I said this a few hours ago jokingly. But I could actually see it happen. I guess Paradis really likes it in Denver and wants to stay.

$14-$15M is nuts! Soooo many bad contracts handed out this year in free agency. Wow.

This free agency tampering window has been insane! Sooo many crazy deals... There are always some head scratching contracts given out every year in free agency. But this year there just seems to be more than usual and we are not even 24hrs in yet.

Meh. They did basically the same thing last year in free agency and didn’t get much from it. I think a couple of their big signings from last year are already gone (I know Spencer Long is for sure...lol). Their GM has been very questionable at drafting, so he’s left trying to find big impact players in free agency every year. He also kind of comes off as the type that wants to be in on just about every big name player that pops up on the market. He kind of reminds me of Tim Murray (ex Sabres GM) in that regard.

Wow! Offensive linemen are getting silly money this free agency... Hes good, but man that seems like a ton of money for him.

I feel like the Bills can definitely offer him the biggest role out of any of the teams rumored to have interest. If hes looking to prove he is a #1 WR, Buffalo seems like a good opportunity to do so. He’d instantly be the best WR on the roster (as of now, anyway). Im not crazy about the idea of overpaying him, but the Bills desperately need to upgrade their Wr corps, so...

I would be all about trading for AJ Green. He’d be a great fit. He’s a total team first guy, great in the locker room and in the community + he’s a super hard worker. You’d never have to worry about him refusing some extra reps with Allen... lol. But I don’t see why Cincy would want to move on and I haven’t seen anything reported that makes me think they will. Green already said he’s fine on his current deal and not looking for any type of raise (after the AB situation), and he’s basically been a model Cincinnati Bengal. I’d be pretty shocked if they decided to move him.

Damn, I think the Jets have been rumored to be in on every big free agent on the market. Usually a sign that your GM sucks at drafting...

Anxious to see how he does away from Philly, and with another shot as the unquestioned starter.

Hell yeah! I would have been thrilled with either Paradis or Morse. I don’t really know that I had much of a preference. From what I’ve read it sounds like Morse may be a better scheme fit, and he’s younger.

He has been pretty good at it in his career so far. Bengals used him more as a blocking TE (900ish snaps) vs a passing TE (650ish snaps). Hopefully he shows that 2017 pass catching ability for this piece tag though.

He’s a better pass blocking RB than anyone on the roster. And he’s been around + seen it all. I don’t see where it will hurt Allen to have Gore in the huddle (assuming he makes the team). Plus he’s a model veteran (and eventual hall of famer). The guy has a legendary work ethic and is very willing to mentor young players. IMO the bills should really draft/sign a young RB this year and take advantage of having 2 future Hall-of-famers in the RB room to mentor them. It’s possible neither are here after this year. May as well take advantage of what they have to offer a young player while you can.

I am not getting my hopes up. My guess is that the Jets land him, if it is down to NY vs Buffalo. #1, I think Maccagnan will offer more money. He doesn’t seem as disciplined as Beane when it comes to spending. When he wants a guy, he seems willing to pay whatever it takes (look at Cousins last year. He got a fully guaranteed deal from Min. thanks to the Jets). #2, Darnold is more of a pocket passer than Josh Allen (at the moment, at least) and it seems like he is better at getting the ball out quicker. That makes a linemen’s job easier. and #3, the Jets currently have more talent on the o-line for Paradis to play with. IMO, For the Bills to land him, they would have to have the best offer (and maybe by a fair margin) and/or contract structure. Or Paradis would really have to buy-in to what the Bills are doing and really like the owners/coach/GM/facilities etc. Or Paradis would have to prefer the living situation in Buffalo (since he is a small town kid iirc). I hope it happens. I’d be just as happy with Morse, though. I really hope we can land one of them.

Wow! That is insane. This guy is a 7th round pick from 2015 that has had ONE good year. And that good year came playing for Brady (who gets the ball out very quick) and Dante Scarnecchia (by far the best o line coach in the NFL). New England also has some TE’s who are very good blockers. Plus they just drafted a guy at #15 last year who I thought was supposed to be their long term LT?

I’d be interested in signing him, but I don’t know if I’d do it for $18+M per year. He’s good, but IMO he hasn’t shown to be in that elite, huge money pass rusher category.

This is what I wonder as well. I would think that one of the better ways to find out what exactly happened with AB, and whether or not he’s a fit, would be to enter into the trade talks so you can talk to the GM, coach, agent etc. and ask them all questions.

Kind of figured it would be 2 games. McDavid got the same 2 game suspension earlier in the year for a somewhat similar hit and it was his 1st offense too.

Great game by The Amerks. 6-1 win today on their 3rd game in 3 days. The 2 shorthanded goals during that one 4 minute penalty was impressive. They had 3 games in a row (fri, sat, sun). They won all 3 games and only allowed 1 goal total in all 3 games.

Yes it is. Edit - this was supposed to be a separate post. So 8 wonder if this means he won’t play for Rochester today? Figures... I was looking forward to seeing him. lol
