Good coaching/systems win football games not revolving doors. Draft is a crap shoot, losing more then you win. What gives anyone a reason to think our complety revamped scouting department is up to the task? Teams need vets because their experienced / proven... ...sounds like practice is going real well today... ...so much for good team chemistry... ...sigh...

Russ Brandon was the main culprit in the Watkins trade in my humble opinion.(speculation) I don't think McD or Beane are dumb enough to trash team chemistry less then 4 weeks before the season starts. ( not in my opinion)

It seemed obvious McD didn't see this coming. Let me ask you this OldTimer, If upper management came to you and said we can do this your way or my way, but If we do it your way (win now) If it fails you guys(McD/Beane) take responsibility. What do you do? Marrone was pressured the same way IMO.

McD seemed caught off guard by this move and gave me the impression he may have argued all night long over it . Chemistry of a team takes a big hit when the best player on the team gets traded for a future 2 and its something I'm confident is obvious to both McD and Beane. The team as a whole needs to be viewed as a single entity with allot of moving parts. Watkins was a big part of it. McD himself even sounded a bit shaken by the development. I get building through the draft, but these are the kinds of spur of the moment moves has been a staple of the Bills organization for years. Building through the draft needs veteran leadership something Watkins could have provided IMO. The disruption of normal Buffalo Bill football operations will never stop as long as one person remains IMO...

I think because of Taylors height restriction, bigger, taller, and tougher WR corp helps counter the low visibility of smaller targets playing amongst a wave of big bodies (IMO).

Taylor has now lost every WR he gained confidence throwing to less then 4 weeks before the season begins so this is cumulative on a QB thats being asked to throw with confidence. with all due respect Shaw can we afford the extra loss and still reach the playoffs?

As upset as I am over Sammy, I do trust McD/Beane to build a smart, hard working, and men of good character football team.

Taylor was also negotiated down to a more appealing trade value IMO.

touche, Is there anything more exciting then T Mobile to Sammy long or Tyrod avoiding a sack and running for a TD? I'm not a season ticket holder or someone who puts a great deal of time and money traveling long distances to catch games. I feel for our fellow patrons/Bills fans that do go the extra mile.
