THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Ramblings of a Madman
Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, When T T goes out and has his best game against the Chiefs perhaps Shaw will see the light. Tyrod Taylor was looking more and more like Trenative Edwards, been there , done that , and Taylor got his own self benched and deserved it IMO. -

Myself personally, I think way to much is being made about the Peterman start and how it relates to the success or failure of the new HC /regime. Did T T count the days when he was benched last season? I understand where your coming from and appreciate the thoughtful reply , but I just don't see Taylor giving up without a fight. Taylors benching was partly his fault and Tyrod probably realizes he forced McD/Dennisons hand in my humble opinion. -

My idea is McD needs to step in now and assist Dennison in adjusting the O to fit Taylor. This notion its all over for Taylor here in Buffalo because the Bills made a switch at the QB position remains to be seen. Tyrod Taylor loves his football team and nothing will ever change that in my humble opinion. McD is rebuilding the the organization from the ground up. Did you really think it was going to be easy? -

McD took on a Rex Ryan football team and basically got rid of anyone that had anything to do with scouting and drafting players. Clearly the team McD took over is not the kind of team he wants. I lliked your 2nd assessment Shaw, hang in there buddy, we have one hell of a draft coming up. -
The Bills are rebuilding and trying to stay competitive at the same time and its not an easy thing to do in my humble opinion. I appreciate your contributions row_33 and I Hope you change your mind.

that an even higher investment will be tossed into the fire with less preparation then N Peterman was given. -

Do you think Buffalo is going to draft a QB in the 1st and let him stand on the sidelines learning? Its not going to happen IMO. -

You say it served no useful purpose then go on to say it may have convinced Taylor to throw the football more. If Taylor gets injured do you think Peterman is ready to get tossed into the fire with very little preparation and stick with the same game plan? I don't, so we did accomplish something in my humble opinion. It was a calculated move to help spark the team, give Peterman some experience, send Taylor a message and gain valuable intel before the next draft. Everything was accomplished IMO. with all due respect -

vs a meaningless game when you have to wonder how well the supporting cast is playing. I'm wondering that anyway... -

5th round draft choices don't get many chances early on under normal circumstances. Taylor had to wait for years. So I wouldn't feel to bad for the most NFL ready Peterman because he's not and Buffalo knows that now. Nate Peterman should be grateful for the opportunity in my humble opinion. Perhaps he learned something from it and won't stink the place up so bad next time... -

You accomplished two things IMO, evaluated Peterman when games still mean something and told Taylor checking down when its 4th and forever doesn't get the job done. Now Buffalo can go into the next draft with no holding back. It was a very cold and calculated move in my humble opinion. Someone had to do it... -

This would not surprise me When you have a QB That struggles in the pocket it goes with the territory. -
I wanna see Peterman start a game again this year

The Dareus trade may not have set well with the players IMO. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Ramblings of a Madman

The success early on suggests to me when the team executes plays properly scheme is not the problem IMO. Missing tackles, missing blocks and dropping passes is a problem. What will be remembered about N Petermans 1st start will be the 5 INT's. What will be forgotten is how poorly the supporting cast played around him in my humble opinion. Every man on the Bills roster needs to take a real long look at themselves in the mirror and fix the problem... -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Ramblings of a Madman

Tyrod Taylor was benched because of poor play and McD took the opportunity to evaluate Peterman. The team needed a spark not a meltdown, but it is what it is and the outcome however ugly as it may have been told the Bills what we they to know IMO. The Buffalo Bills need a QB... ...before we all end up in the funny farm... Why, because McD had a team thats low on talent over achieving? Players like Marcell Dareus are a cancer to a locker room. Something you can't have from the highest paid player on the team. McD has the balls to make tough decisions looking into the future long term and I commend him for it. Like OP, I still Billieve... -

Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
Figster replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman is only responsible for 1 game of a 3 game losing streak. Who takes responsibility for one of the leagues worst passing O's going on 3 seasons? -
