You could also find clips of him having good effort though... That is indisputable Playing 82% of snaps at wide receiver.. you're going to get beat up.. dinged... Tired All of that takes a toll on your play Did his effort decline as the year went on? Sure... Was he also on the injury report for a back injury? Yea Does a back injury clear up in a week in the NFL? Hell no You cannot find me one current Superstar wide receiver... Who blocks like his hair is on fire every single play You're going to get some lazy snaps But playing devil's advocate... If somebody like this coach is going to show his lazy snaps.. he should also show the snaps where he blocked hard because they do exist
-
Sure there are always a few plays, where you don't get maximum effort blocking from every wide receiver Stefon diggs also laid some really good blocks here over 4 years.. 100% he had some good blocks including one that sprang Knox for a touchdown You can find clips of every single wide receiver doing what diggs did in that clip

My best friend coaches jr hockey in Canada and it is life for Canadians His best player got cheap shot at last week.. punched in the back of the head and broke his jaw on the ice... Rough It was a three-game series ... So the next day at the opening face off... My buddy asked the entire team who is stepping to the plate One kid raised his hand.. my friend literally taped his wrists up on the bench like a boxer and gave him smelling salts... Then sent him out to kick ass at the first puck drop Didn't even take the face off.. as soon as the puck was dropped he smoked the kid as hard as he could in the face

What I don't get is we just traded a wide receiver who people called a Cancer and a diva Yet they want Marvin Harrison Jr who is 100% a diva also ... Dude didn't even talk to the media at the combine He's full of himself

I already mentioned this that Corey b struggles were vastly overrated He was not missing laces every single snap.. I went through every single hold of his career in Buffalo and he did not have over 8 snaps where he did not get the laces around Including extra points... Hundreds of holds... 8 didn't get laces There has never been a punter who has been fired because he has been bad at holding... Especially if you're a good punter Corey B didn't get re signed because he would kick a 60-yard punt... Then Shank it for 20 yards... Then call his own fake field goal But he's good enough that he instantly gets a job everywhere he goes because his holding problems are overblown... It is a repetition thing Holder God is the funniest thing I've ever heard... Corey B's new kicker in Cleveland called him the best holder he's ever had It's not hard to learn if you practice.. Corey B called his own fake kick.. that's where his head is at

Does Josh Allen still work as hard in the offseason?
Buffalo716 replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
To think he doesn't work his ass off as crazy.. he certainly has one of the best work ethics ever seeing he went from zero star recruit to NFL superstar He's allowed to have a life And yes I want him to keep improving because he can be the best the world has ever seen -

Of course he can improve.. Tom Brady could improve so could Peyton Manning Josh Allen went from a short game weakness his first few years... To leading the AFC in pass rating and completion percentage under 10 yards by year three I'd say that is Master class improvement He certainly can improve and he has gotten better at areas of his game every single year even if stats don't show it I've been adamant he will be all world by 30 or 31.. he will have 60 passing touchdowns I've said it here before and I'll throw it out again Josh Allen at age 31 season will have 60 touchdowns -

He has been statistically elite in the short game since year three... It's dipped a little bit since Beasley has gone but still in the top echelon of NFL quarterbacks He's on Pace to have the most touchdowns in NFL history... We need to start supporting the most talented player in the NFL.. not knocking a few of his faults Which are more quirks that he never got to work out on the bench... So they pop up under stressful situations The longer professional quarterback has to learn without being thrown to the fire he can work out bad quirks.. Josh was thrown to the fire, survived, became a star... But he still has quirks -
Holding skill is Completely overrated I went back and looked at every single bojorquez hold over years and he did not have over eight bad holds Including extra points and place kicks... His new kicker has called him the best holder he ever had It's a very overrated skill... There has never been a player who has been cut because of his holding abilities... Even Romo is only famous for one botched snap Because any athlete worth his salt will get it with repetition Corey B calling his own fake field goal.. and shanking 17 yard punts was way more of the reason he wasn't re signed... Same as LA... He can bomb it 60 yards Then Shank an 18 yarder Inconsistency is why he doesn't find long-term homes... Not holding ability

I don't think they are close to being the same case These NFL teams have recorders which know how long players watch film for... Kyler Murray watched very little film.. so much so they put it into his contract he had to.. Johnny manziel when they reviewed watched zero film Josh Allen has statistically became elite in the short game... Impossible to do unless you do a lot of film work There is a difference between watching film on your upcoming opponent... And watching NFL film in general His week-to-week opponent doesn't matter as much because he is played so uniquely... What he needs to do is watch tape of how ,30 other teams has played him across years Which he obviously does because he's a world-class quarterback Watching clips of the Patriots versus the jaguars doesn't do much... He needs to watch clips of the Patriots versus Josh Allen Because he is played so uniquely -

Listen he certainly can be more dialed in... He's very relaxed at times which is what you want but he's too relaxed at times When he is focused he is the best in the world ... Remember he's 27.. i have no doubt with maturity he will be the best at 30 -
Basically any idiot who played high level football.. if you can get to the NFL.. you can physically hold It's not that hard of a skill... Punters hold for kickers because specialties spend the most time together during practice... They have hours to get the repetition down Quarterbacks used to hold but due to the collective bargaining agreement... Practicing is very restricted... And quarterbacks need the majority of time practicing the playbook So they went to punters... And as long as they can catch the snap.. getting it down is not an issue It is basically a repetition thing.. not that hard of a skill for any football player The only people with the time for the repetition is punters tho
-
There is zero chance a holder change will help lol The holds were fine ... It's not that hard of a skill to learn Pat McAfee never held in college and got it down in the pros It's just repetitions

Completely out of context Allen said he is played differently than every other QB so film isn't giving him what it does to most Because he isn't played the same -
That doesn't mean they're winning a super bowl with Chad henne lol The bills have had top five NFL defenses for years now.. we've been number one in multiple categories It still takes the entire team on game day... Tyler bass went wide right... The defense gave up a field goal 2 years ago with 13 seconds It takes the entire team for 60 minutes
-
Alex Smith was a number one overall pick that got the Chiefs to the playoffs pretty consistently And he's a good quarterback We're talking about real backups taking over... Sure there are some outliers of success but it generally doesn't end good
-
It depends who we replace the safeties with... And what we do at wide receiver But you're talking about a team that has had world class point differentials the last few years That points to talent... Which we did lose a lot But now it's how you replace it
-
Well Carson Wentz wasn't on the Chiefs last year I don't think Yes he could squeak out 8-9 wins... With a Hall of Fame coach and the best play caller He is a top of the line Fringe starter backup quarterback But 85% of NFL rosters don't have a backup quarterback like that
-
Well before free agency is over and the draft Definitely not in the top five... Probably in the top 12 before we see what else happens
-
The adage is basically true in the NFL If you have two quarterbacks you have none... For the most part There have been plenty of people to get hot for a short stint... But even history relegated Nick foles back to the bench and Carson Wentz is not a starter They had two quarterbacks playing good and realistically none turned out to be long-term starters They got hot at the right time which could happen Point stands if you have a franchise quarterback and he goes down for a good amount of time you're going to struggle Chad henne cannot play 15 games and win All three of the Steelers quarterbacks are basically on the same level so it didn't matter who they played I don't think the Bengals could win nine games with Browning throughout entire season Of course there are always outliers... But that's why they're called outliers
-
They went 4-3 beating a Steelers team that can't score ... A depleted browns team , and a colts team that gave up more points than they scored and a 7-10 Vikings teams I think Mitch trubisky on the bills could beat three of those teams at least You keep talking about talent around the quarterback but the bills were ranked as a top five talented team the last 2 years... Nobody had the bills outside of the top five overall talent
