  1. The fact that its known the DA was willing to drop charges just makes the jury think..."oh well, no big deal. The DA didn't even want to convict him, why should we?" Yep
  2. Jury trial is his best bet. The whole world knows that the DA was willing to drop charges if he just admitted guilt. Therefore, they don't feel as tho its a big deal and just wanted to save face. Now with that being public knowledge, he thinks he will be able to cause enough reasonable doubt and just walk Scott free. Money talks...and its always been the case. Pisses me off
  3. He's also said that obviously if a QB is rated above a DL, guess who we are taking? The BPA thing is predicated on their board, not ours or the media. I think its important to keep that in mind. So lets say they have Haskins ranked ahead of Oliver and they are both there at 9. That will be a position of need being taken instead of BPA. And I think they set their board up with those particulars factored in, and BPA in that instance is completely removed from the board because its not a need. I mean, if we had Aaron Donald, and say Geno Atkins already on the team, we would not be drafting a DT round one. It would be a disservice to the overall team IMO. So, we should take the BPA sermon he preaches with the notion that BPA DOES in fact meet need when they set up their board. Idk, just my take on it
  4. I hear ya. But I'll say this...Harry don't have the quicks to replace Kyle. Nobody on the roster does. Edge might be a serious consideration at 9, but I highly doubt WR is. Not sure anybody in the draft is better than what we already have as far as immediate impact goes at WR. Just my 2 cents...
  5. No Dawkins huh? He'll be a starter somewhere on that line
  6. That is according to pff. He played 64.69 % of last years snaps
  7. Kyle played 65% of snaps last year. Why? He was as close to an elite player as we had. We no longer have that production. It needs replaced. Nobody on our roster is replacing that. Nobody on our roster is CAPABLE of replacing that. Its a need. More so than WR. JMO
  8. Not to mention, very few rookie WR's step onto the field and make immediate impacts.
  9. Who's playing 3tech on your projected roster?
  10. Listen, what Im suggesting is drafting DT at 9. Not a guy to play 40% of snaps. We have our reserves already under contract. I'm saying we will get our starter with that pick. And let the reserves be reserves. Star is doing his job occupying blockers. What we DONT have, is a penetrating 3tech to go along with Star. Enter the draft. Very top heavy for that position early on. The value will meet the need. Perfectly. I'm very encouraged about Foster, but I'm not ready to say he is elite. Between him and Brown, the speed factor is there. Beasley in the slot, Zay lined up all over the place. Opens up the run game. Its all that you really need to run Daboll's scheme. Can we upgrade any of the WR's? Sure. Is there a hole there? No, there's not. Does a WR in the 1st round meet our needs compared to the value of the pick, for the overall betterment of the team? No, I don't believe so. Upgrades are great, but if you don't have a huge hole there, that's all it is..an upgrade. We have a Hole at DT. We Need one. We could go with one outside the 1st round, but we will most likely grab a reserve worthy player, and that may not meet the value either. So, in a D-line class for the ages, with an obvious need at 3tech, we should be focusing on finding a potentially elite player at a spot of need meets value meets BPA, other than just upgrading a position that has no glaring holes. At the end of the day, how many WR's are worth the #9 overall pick, compared to how many D-linemen?
  11. WR is not our biggest need. Daboll's offense is based in match ups. Think NE. Not seen very many elite WR's on the field with Brady over the years. Its all about match ups.We have 2 legit burners to keep the D honest, a very good slot, and an improved O-line. There is room for upgrades at every position, but WR is not the glaring hole it was 2 weeks ago. DT is our biggest need. We only have 3 under contract. And none are even on par with KW, let alone elite. The need/value/BPA at pick 9 is set up perfectly for us to replace Kyle. I honestly will be shocked if WR is addressed prior to round 3 with the depth on D-line available this year early on this year
  12. PFF exposed him? Never be elite? You drew that conclusion after 11 games? KB wanted out of Buffalo? Weird, I've not seen or heard such a claim. In fact, I don't believe he ever said that, Nor was it his choice to be here or not. You are making an awful lot of assumptions here....PFF stopped short of making that claim because, well, its just not true. He was not in high demand upon his release, and is all but washed up at this point. I will say tho that I agree with your assessment of the O-line. Upgrading to average is still quite an improvement
  13. Should I reply to this thread, or the duplicate? ?
  14. He was unreasonably treated by a coach who was on his last leg and belittled in front of his teammates. He voiced his disagreement and it escalated. It happened. That should not take away from the 2+ years he showed great character while selflessly playing out of position for the perceived betterment of his team. All whilst keeping his head down, staying productive, and being a good teammate. "Football Character" is what Beane looks for. Not what you are making it out to be. Which is a silly argument given that our GM has repeatedly stated this
  15. Here we go lol.... One hissy fit does not equal the exact opposite of good character. Beane has said many many times what his definition of good "football character" means when he says that. It means...a good teammate.check. Doing what the coach/ team asks of you, selflessly. Check. It means being passionate about the game. Check. He's also said that we don't only look for choir boys. It's all of those things, and more, that paint the Broader picture of a man's football character. That said, I'm not looking for a "safe, low risk, low reward" player at 9. Love Wilkins, but I don't see a game changer in him. I don't see a player who has opportunity to take the league by storm, appear in pro bowls( not that that's really relevant anymore) or make teams specifically game plan for him week in, or week out. At 9, I'm going projection as much as production. Either way, I'm sure McBeane will get it right
  16. No chance Q Will or Allen are there. If so, I take Q Will. But to think all those other guys are better than Oliver is crazy talk.
  17. I agree. We needed a QB and MLB last year. They were there for us at BPA due to Beane maneuvering around to line up need/BPA. I can see him doing that again
  18. Not according to the list I gave you...
  19. I gave you no such choice I'd be ok with Wilkins or Taylor at 9. But that's just it..."ok with". If I'm going by potential to be dynamic, its Oliver all day. I want no part of Gary or Jonah at 9. Or Metcalf for that matter
  20. Over Oliver? Yikes
  21. Wilkins, Oliver, Gary, Jonah, and Jawaan Taylor.
  22. Who you got at 9 then?
  23. I've noticed that too. Been a long time since we've seen that in Buffalo!
