If it's any consolation to Parkey, the Bears aren't winning anything until Trubisky gets more consistent. This year he is holding them back.
-
Well, I guess that's why. Still seems like a gamble in my opinion.
-
Why does every head coach give the kicker a practice kick? I don't get it.
-
Special teams still matters.

The Eagles should have had two turnovers on this drive, instead the Bears are about to get 3 points.

Besides the off field problems, the scouting reporting on him is that he isn't very athletic and has trouble separating. But he does have good hands and can make contested catches which is mostly what our offense has been missing anyways.

Here's a highlight video:
I count about 5 catches that are better than anything a Bills receiver did this year. With the caveat that he is against CFL talent, right now I like the signing.

That's him making the defender look like an all time fool.

Well that was a very nice throw from Trubisky.

I don't really see it with Trubisky. He mostly throws short of the sticks.

Speaking of alternate realities, the Chargers are winning a playoff game and their kicker is the reason.

BLAKE BORTLES IS A BETTER PASSER THAN LJ HAS BEEN THIS SEASON.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Are we living in different realities?
No I don't even disagree with you, I'm just saying one season of 4000 yards doesn't prove anything. Derek Carr had 2 seasons where he was just shy of 4000 yards and over 26 TDs. QBs sometimes look good for a season or two before falling off the map. I thought this was pretty common knowledge among NFL fans.

You don't throw for over 4000 yards and 26 TDs being a bad passer.
Blake Bortles threw for 4400 yards and 35 TDs his 2nd season. Not trying to compare him with Watson but it takes more than one good year to prove anything.

Lamar Jackson has 16 fumbles this season but the Ravens have recovered 12 of them.

Isn't that the explanation (or excuse) for Josh Allen, that he'd be a better QB if he had better WR?
No the argument is that Josh Allen's statistical floor is higher than what we have seen this year, given that his entire offense from top to bottom is one of the worst assembled in the modern era. Not just the receivers, the whole supporting cast. I don't think I'm over exaggerating when I say that at least 8 players on Dallas's offense would start for us right now, and only 1 player on our offense (Foster) would get starting time there. Zeke, Tyron Smith, and Zach Martin are top 5 in the league at their respective positions. Their offensive line as a whole is in the conversation for best in the league. I'm not sure how many QBs in the league could score 5 TDs in a single game with our offense around them but I feel comfortable saying Prescott is not one of them.

nobody is comparing offense but Watson pretty much all the offense passing and rushing would be the comparison
But Allen literally has been our entire offense. The only skill player on the Bills that would have a chance of starting for Houston is Robert Foster and he certainly wouldn't be an every down player for them.

Watson is the Texans offense atm.....very similar to allen
I strongly disagree with this. DeAndre Hopkins and Lamar Miller would immediately be the best 2 players on our offense. Hopkins is arguably the best receiver in the league...
-
Just all out blitz Watson on every play. He panics and skips the ball. The only plays he's made are when they rush 4 and lose contain.
-
Watson is throwing a ton of balls to the ground today. It's weird. The Colts just need to play disciplined and not let him escape with his legs.
-
Andrew Luck is incredible. What a throw.

Why do they need to change that rule?
Because it's ridiculous. Fumbling the ball out of bounds doesn't cause a turnover anywhere else on the field. I would make it a 10 yard penalty to discourage players from tossing it into the endzone but it shouldn't be a turnover.
-
That looks like a fumble and a touchback to me. Could be interesting. They need to change that rule either way.
-
I've only watched a little bit of Watson this year but I have not been impressed with what I've seen. Hopkins makes him look better than he is.

As Kirby pointed out in a previous post the Steelers are not going to absorb the crushing cap hit that a trade would entail. And because of his cancerous and seditious behavior his trade value is diminished. The Steelers will do everything they can to work out an in-house solution to this fratricide.
I would have thought the same but it's being reported today that the Steelers are listening to trade offers.
They have no reason to put this out there if it's not true.

Not sure this is the right take to go for after this game. Neither QB was particularly good.
