so I called back to set up cancelation because my buddy was goign to hook me up with fios.....retention really didn't make a huge effort to lower my bill so I set it up....a few days later I received an email to call them back....I was offered Sunday ticket max and a lower price without asking...I then asked about my HBO and if there were any promos and she said no but that triggered a 200$ visa gift card offer....I was super pleased....so I extended my contract for 12 months and will,be enjoying Sunday ticket for the 4th year in a row for free....directv is good! My one complaint to them was inclement weather outages....they always want to send out a guy and the guy always says everything looks good....its just the nature of the product.

It's back baby! I totally forgot I missed last seasons finale...just got caught up....

I called back again....like I mentioned earlier I've had great luck....not this year...I've been stonewalled twice....directv has been ok.....I lose my reception during storms and heavy snow....I've been looking for a reason to leave....so I just set up cancelation at the end of this next billing period that I'm paid through...I was kind of suprised they didn't put up more of a fight to keep me but oh well...the lady told me I have received over 1500 $ worth of discounts since being with them so I can't complain....fios is going to cost me more but it's a much better product...good luck to the rest of you guys.

I'm 34 and I have never seen a hyped situation like this for a player...there have been good players but not all the hoopla like this....social media adds to this hoopla. I've received the ticket free for the past 3 years...my bill jumped significantly this month due to expiring credits...called in and basically got nothing....always had pretty good luck....lady said to call back later as new credits pop up.....it's a stupid game that gets tiring each year. Maybe things have changed since att took over....I really want fios but it is $$$

Valid points....it would have to be a dual income marriage.....my wife and I have this exact set up....actually we probably give ourselves a little more in our individual accounts but we never....and I mean never argue over money or what is being spent....our bills are paid...we have a large safety net in the joint account....all are retirement accounts are properly funded.....
