How does a fan or GM watch the playoff Chiefs loss and not want to pay Cook or make him a larger part of the offense? Again this judgement by the team is troubling. Coupled with thinking the WRs were good enough is damning.

The problem I see with it is that the WRs are not catchers just additional blockers and on the field for that reason alone (which is why we can’t pass it). We are paying a guy or 2 big money to be a threat in the passing game just to clear out for the run. It’s a 1950s offense masquerading as a modern high scoring one. Josh Allen himself is nothing more than a threat in this scheme. It’s stupid and not a sustainable model for winning especially given the non complimentary Defensive philosophy—bend don’t break and hope for turnovers. If this was the plan all along, why why why not sign Cook first vs letting him be the last to be paid? In full it really makes me think they have no plans or ideas and are shooting from the hip patching it together this year.

He really is. Everyone laughs at the lack of top tier talent on this D yet year in year out he fields strong units with guys at key positions that are practice squad level. This is why if I had to choose I’d dump the guy handing him lemons to coach up.

Can’t wait til some team with a decent established HC/OC takes Brady off of our hands.

I don’t disagree with the premise of this thread. However, where do these takes come from? It doesn’t seem organic to me. This post and every Bills Twitter personality all of a sudden spitting this Rams narrative….not an independent thinker in the Mafia? I can’t imagine once his escapability and scrambling fall off completely that he can reinvent himself as a pocket passer. It’s not in his nature or tool chest. The prevailing thought is we have 5-8 more years of prime Josh, but this assumes Manning/Brady level ability. Those guys never took hits and got the ball out fast so they endured. I think we have 4 years at most. After that Josh will either have to maintain his drive and reinvent himself or walk away. He’s talented, will have a ton of records, be wealthy and still young, so I think he walks.

They really did build a team to beat one team (the Chiefs) then got dog walked by the Ravens with those players and kept forging ahead as if the Chiefs were it. They must still be patting themselves on the back for having it work so well once against the Chiefs a few weeks ago. Too bad that team is also outdated. Neither truly adapted.

Pegula is not going to fire McD and possibly not Beane either (I think Beane of the 2 should go). However both coordinators are terrible, inexperienced, and haven’t earned ANYTHING is this league. They’ve just waited in the wings until the guy in front of of them left and got the job. Other teams have ex Head Coach coordinators. That 💩 matters. Get them both out of here and hire established guys who have done something in the NFL.

That it was happened but the “he had a good week of practice” was to deflect from his poor effort vs the Fins. He’s now got these 2 things against him AND new tape showing the passing game opened up in his absence. They’d be stupid to dress him in the face of this empirical evidence.
