Similiar thing happened to me a long time ago. She was a cousin of my ex-girlfriend - better looking than the ex. A year after the breakup I ran into the cousin - we started seeing each other as friends - movies, dinner, xmas parties, company picnics, the whole nine yards. She was always talking about some guy she was dating (not really dating, the guy was just banging her). She knew I wanted more, but it never happened, she just didn't see me in that light. Has anyone ever been a movie extra? tell us about it. My wife is onscreen for a few seconds as an extra in 'Smart People' - filmed in Pittsburgh last year. Unfortunately, the movie sucks, but she looks pretty good in a street scene walking next to Dennis Quaid. She is also in the Kevin Smith movie 'Zack and Miri make a Porno' that is coming out in October. Seems that quite a few movies are filmed in Pittsburgh - probably because the city gives the production companies tax breaks - unlike Buffalo.

There is one QB you can compare to Bradshaw - Joe Ferguson - I know it is off the topic - but look at their numbers - they played in the same era and the numbers are almost identical. Bradshaw did have more TD's but everything else was very similiar. If Joe only had a defence besides the 1980 team.

Richard Manuel and Rick Danko are dead - Manuel comitted suicide and Danko died of heart disease. The other three still show up on other peoples records - I think Levon Helm lives in Woodstock.

I'm a big John Hiatt fan - he was in an alcoholic haze when he did that record - he dried out after that and his career really took off. BTW, he is at the Infinity in Williamsville on Monday - I can't make it seeing that I live 220 miles away.

I've tried many of the popular micros - Victory, Great lakes, Bell's. Southern Tier, DogFish Head, etc. - But right now my favorite is Troegs - form Harrisburg PA - their Dreamweaver Wheat is fantastic, so is their NutBrown Ale. I have in the past leaned towards the IPA's, but these two offerings have made me change my mind a bit.

The thing I think you are all forgetting is that the 'media' is a business - their first objective is to make money. A conservitive friend of mine was complaining that all the positive stories coming out of Iraq are being ignored or buried far from the front pages. My response is that the newspapers are in business to sell their product - this is the capitalist way isn't it - bad news sells. You have to remember that all decisions - whether you are selling widgets or newspapers - are made with the bottom line as first priority.
