  2. ...he's only a notch above Chris Rix, and that's not saying much. Think Brock Berlin, think Gino Torretta.
  3. ...Brien already has been informed by the Dog-Ass Jets that his services no longer will be needed. He'll be officially cut 6/1 but his * is grass. When they drafted the Nuge Saturday that was the end of the line for Brien in N.J. Fans will never forgive him for those two missed FGs in the Pitt game that cost that team a shot at the AFC title game.
  4. ...where's Carl Lewis when we need him, eh?
  5. ...who would want to take a chance on that guy? Rix is dumber than a box of rocks. If he couldn't beat the college Dieami, what chance does he have of beating the pro one?
  6. Th Houston Problem may have a steal in this kid...might be Thurmal-like in that he fell through the cracks until taken in a later round. Good pick by Capers & co.
  7. ...actually, today's Bills draft proceedings were supervised directly by the Cane King himself, dib, in consultation with WM.
  8. ...only one that comes to mind was a Monday night game in Cleveland a few years ago. Drew Pearson of the Cowboys made a catch and before the camera cut away, he proceeded to heave his cookies, face mask notwithstanding. About as puke-green as it could get. Must have been sick as a dog that night.
  9. Bullwinkle: Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat. Rocky: Again! Bullwinkle: Nothing up my sleeve....PRESTO! (pulls out new grandchild). Way to go Rockster.
  10. http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/sports/11439039.htm I find it unfathomable the Iggles would part with Westbrook. He's a heck of a player. Can't imagine TH being in a 2003-like share-the-load mode that Philly used in 2003 (Staley/Westbrook/Buckhalter). But the Iggles have so many picks (13 in all), they are in a great position to do a lot of wheeling and dealing this weekend. What Joe Banner and Andy Reid have up their sleeves is part of the intrigue leading up to this year's draft.
  11. ...5-27? Dubious. "Lonnie" was a "special" team guy all right. He made the Bills ST in that one season--and WTAMU in general--especially BAD.
  12. ...another chapter to a sad case closed. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/men...ettlement_x.htm
  13. ...good ol' Oiv. More craters on his face than the moon. Thugs, toughs and pistol-packing punks!
  14. Print--Michael Wilbon, Tony Kornheiser, Mitch Albom, Mike Lupica Radio--Vin Scully, Van Miller, (late) Chick Hearn, (late) Ted Darling, Marv Albert TV--Bob Costas, Dick Enberg, (late) Ray Scott, Jim Gordon
  15. ...right now, I'm not a happy camper where Josh Reed is concerned. I was really pissed on that penalty called against him in the Pittsburgh game that nullified a gain down to near the goal line at a critical time. After that, Lindell gagged, the 4th stringer from Pittsburgh ran 65 yards the other way, and you know the rest.
  16. Not gonna happen. Ratzinger is as conservative/orthodox as they come. He's 78 (20 years older than JP II at time he was elected), so it stands to reason Ratzinger's reign as pontiff won't be near as long as his predecessor.
  17. Freddie...HA-HA-HA! What a loser. No way he could ever out-TO TO. Ever.
  18. ...Curt's near six feet under, and Al's already there, sad to say. Enberg in his prime on NBC was good stuff. But when the Bills sucked and they had the F team announcers, whoo brother...
  19. ...boxing is a very hard--and dare say, DANGEROUS--way to make a living.
  20. ...it's the checkout line at Wegmans for Baby Joe, sad to say.
  21. ...Andre and Thurmal. Great pic of Andre spiking the ball at Ralphie's after toasting the j-e-t-s, DOG-ASS JETS!!! (Andre) http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedi...content.15.html (Thurmal) http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedi...content.19.html There's also a pic of Rodney Harrison (when he played with Bolts) ready to sack the Flutemeister.
